Property Damage: During the relocation of garage items, my refrigerator was moved. It ceased functioning immediately following the move. A certified technician inspected the unit and provided a written assessment stating the failure was due to damage sustained during transportation. IT IS POSSIBLE that it could have been pure coincidence. I did not file a claim or state I wanted money for the fridge. Financials: Zilvanis requested an interim payment of $150 for labor already performed. I paid this amount, even though the contract designated the final $300 to be paid only after a successful final walkthrough. Project Termination: When I shared the technician's findings regarding the refrigerator, the contractor denied responsibility and immediately cancelled all remaining work. Incomplete Scope: Due to the abrupt cancellation, the installation of door weather stripping was never completed. The contractor remains in possession of the delivered part.

I found The Affordable & Licensed Handyman through Yelp because they had great reviews so I was interested to see how much their service fee would be for a simple job when I was looking for a plumber. I needed a license plumber due to home insurance requirement to do this installation or I would've done it myself. They were responsive when I talked to them through Yelp projects. I was shocked with how much I was quoted because it was almost double the price of the automatic shut off valve device I paid for. So I had to confirm that the price that was given to me was just to switch out the bad unit with the new one. They didn't have to do anything else like run new pipes or replace anything else. When I communicated to them that the quote was high, they asked how much did i wanted to pay. I thought they would try to be more reasonable since the name is The Affordable. I give them a range based on the prices from other plumbing company that I reached out to and they couldn't do it which I understand they can set their own prices. Maybe for big projects, they'll give more of a reasonable price which is why they have great reviews on Yelp but just to replace a bad automatic shut off valve with a brand new one, I think it was overprice so I used another plumbing company where they were very reasonable on the price.

The day he was scheduled he let me know exactly when he would arrive and showed up right on time. I showed him what needed to be done and he got right to work. He got my mirror and votive holder mounted securely which made me very comfortable because they're heavy pieces. Old vertical and mini blinds were taken down and new ones were put up quickly and neatly. In total Egor was at our place for about 4.5 hours and did an excellent job. Friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient: he knows what he's doing! I'll absolutely hire him again and would refer him to others. Thank you Egor!

We were looking to upgrade our kitchen sink and faucet, but our problem was that our sink cutout was custom. New sinks wouldn't fit without making a few cuts to our countertop. The plumbers we contacted were either really busy or really expensive (meaning they wouldn't want to do it unless it's really worth their time). His rate was competitive and it was a flat rate for the job. Through our correspondence, Elijah even downloaded the cutout template of the new sink to give us an estimate how much would be cut and what his rate would be for making the cut. On the day of the job, he came in prepared and he was very respectful of our time and space. We provided our new sink and faucet to install, and he recommended that we should upgrade our garbage disposal too since it was pretty old. He made this whole process really easy and we are enjoying our new sink, faucet, and garbage disposal. He is a jack of all trades, and we look forward to contacting him again for future jobs. A simple update or acknowledgment would have been appreciated. The lack of communication was highly unprofessional and left a very poor impression.

Throughout the entire process, Mike was very professional and the level of expertise he exhibited was obvious. Before Mike, I had met with 3 other contractors to compare services and quotes but what sealed the deal for me was the 3D render service Mike offered. It was affordable and it would be free if you end up going with MDM for your remodel. Mike was able to get the renderings to me very quickly and made adjustments whenever we wanted to change something. Seeing the details of the renderings really brought what we were envisioning to life and helped with the design process. Fast forward to beginning of demo/construction, Mike's employees were impressively fast and efficient at their jobs, but what really impressed me was how clean they kept our property after each day of work. And that stated true throughout the entire process of our 7 month renovation. During construction, if there were any last minute changes, Mike would always try to cater to our needs whenever possible. Even if subcontractors made mistakes with anything, Mike would make sure it is fixed and perfect right away. Keep in mind, you can't rely on Mike for everything (as much as you might want to). You really do have to do your research (in terms of design, finishing materials, sourcing those materials, and getting them delivered on time) and know exactly what you want and how you want it, that way, Mike can plan and put into action what needs to be done. After this entire process, we are extremely happy we got this project completed with MDM. What really sets them apart is the quality of work, dependability, and the great people that work for MDM. Shoutout to Mario! They really respected our home and were very considerate of us during construction. Even after everything was finished, they guaranteed that they would come back and fix anything that needed fixing. Cannot recommend them enough if you want to improve or build your new home!

Having seen what they'd done for other clients, we didn't have much doubt and pulled the trigger and couldn't be happier we did. They put together some renderings for us with measurements and notes, and when a couple of the items weren't quite what we envisioned they immediately changed the renderings to our specs and sent over the new revisions. They really worked with us to ensure that the product we got was the one that would make us happiest. It took about 3 months for us to receive the final product, but once we did it was beautiful, even better than what we'd pictured. It's definitely the centerpiece of our conference room and almost every client remarks on it. I also want to add that only a few weeks in, we had a brief issue where some epoxy fell from a slot in the bottom of the table. It wasn't anything structural, and it happens from time to time so I mostly just wanted to make sure we got it repaired. I called up Graham and he made it happen immediately. Since we're based in San Diego and PW is in LA, he found a solid woodworker down here and arranged for him to come (at cost) and fix it up for us, which made us feel really valued as a customer.
