    Lamb Vindaloo
    Kendoll C.

Again, another trip to our go-to Indian Food Eatery! We stuck with our normal order for the Royal Kabab Combo & opted to try the Lamb Vindaloo & got baby a Qaam Chicken stuffed Naan. Combo had the same reliable bold taste- very juicy, hearty chunks of meat- fluffy fresh rice- light salad w.zesty green verde salsa perfect for the palate Lamb Vindaloo-hearty chunks of lamb & potatoes within a creamy vindaloo sauce; next time we want to see if we can ask for it a bit spicier- it had a nice kick, but we can handle more! Naan, again wonderfully fluffy, mildly buttery, ideal char on the outside, dense and moist inside Baby loved her chicken stuffed naan- the chicken is mashed inside, almost liked mashed potatoes- easy to get chicken in every bite as it seemed spread throughout Happy with all our menu choices!

Guess what? This place is another hidden gem. I love Indian food but find get uneven results at the best of places. Sooóoo I'm at the nephew's place and we are Covid conscious so it's take out and delivery when I come in town. This place was delish! We ordered Chicken Fried Rice and Chicken Kahari. OMG. We were blown away. Went to pick up after approximately 25 minutes and it was piping hot and the aroma was heavenly. Upon returning to his apartment..12 min travel time, it was still piping hot. Upon opening it up, it looked so tasty that it was with great gusto that we attacked our plates. Make sure to support this restaurant ..it's awesome sauce.

Goat curry half eaten because I have no self restraint for a picture

Stopped in for something spicy something goaty... and boy did they deliver! This place is so tasty got the goat curry and veg samosa and boy howdy hot dawg!!!!!! Go here it's amazing, walk in... ring bell... get lotto ticket... enjoy some of the best Indian food in the dc area! I'm guessing they cater to the Indian truck drivers like out in California and those guys do not compromise

Chicken Samosas (crispy and full of ground meat)

I was in the mood for Indian food and after reading the reviews for this location, decided to bypass Prince Kabob & give this a try. I phoned in a combo kabob dinner (chicken, beef & lamb), a lamb gyro and Chicken samosas. Service was not the greatest but I tolerated it bc my food was to go. As soon as I got the food I opened the foil because I wanted my naan to remain as fresh as possible. Got home within 12 mins and opened the dishes. My first bite was of the lamb gyro and I got a mouth full of grease. I literally could not chew it. Next a tried the French fries, nothing special either and definitely not worth the oil content. I tried the chicken samosas...BINGO...they were very crispy and flavorful! The sauce was not traditional but it was delicious nonetheless. Okay, so my hope was restored. Unfortunately, hope died quickly when I tasted the kabob's beef! It was so tough I couldn't chew it! The chicken was eatable but lacked flavor. The ground lamb kabob was nice & spicy, and while it was by far the best tasting of the meats, it was extremely dry. The combo was served with a small fresh salad and rice (dry & unpleasant). Lastly was the naan was tough and chewy. My Summary: Glad I tried Royal Kabob and while it may be for some, it's not for me. The taste and quality of this food compared to Prince Kabob isn't even close. I gave 2 stars for the 2 chicken samosas I consumed for $40 worth of food; indeed some of the most expensive samosas I've ever eaten.

This is the weirdest location for the best kabobs in the area. You think you're pulling in to get gas, but really you're going for great meat platters and tasty naan bread. When you walk into the convenience store, turn right. This place is so unassuming you might miss it. It is right next to the Subway. So strange, but trust me it's worth it. We got a #9 and #14. The meat is seasoned, flavorful, and moist. Everything is so delicious. We did eat at one of the tables there. The tables don't look wiped down or sanitized, so if you're a germaphobe, you may not want to eat there. My recommendation is to call ahead and place your order. We had to wait 25 mins for our meal to be prepared. I also recommend to ask for extra sauce... that sauce is so yummy.

Royal Kabab is in a gas station, and is combined with a subway. Not sure if this is a family business but a guy walked over from the subway side and served me! He cute went very friendly which is definitely something I look for and that was unfortunate. The inside was pretty gross, looked quite unsanitary and the man who served me wasn't wearing gloves. Although, the chicken we ordered was so well seasoned, it was delicious. The pita was very fluffy and was delicious with hummus. My family loved their food. The rice and beans weren't very good but I think they're more of an acquired taste. Unfortunately, I don't think I'd come here again due to the unsanitary environment.

I have gotten food there and delivered in the past, and it was always amazing. Ordered Saag Chicken tonight and did not get anything even remotely resembling that dish. Fortunately Grubhub took care of me.

Don't sleep on gas station restaurants! We wanted Indian food and this place was close to home since Namaste wasn't open. We decided to go light and spilt butter chicken. Quick and easy to place an online order through Yelp. In fact I called to see if they could speed my order up instead of a hour wait and they accommodated me. Price seemed ok but the portions run small. Though I'm a light eater my friend isn't lol. Glad we ordered extra rice because that itty bitty scoop wouldn't do. The naan that came with it was kinda of dry. So I'm glad I ordered garlic naan. Tasty salad and dressing. Rice was very very tasty. The butter chicken was good but i felt more pieces could have been added to the mix. I took a chance on their mango lassi and glad I did! Very very delicious to accompany my meal. Employees were very nice and I plan to come back to try their tandoori chicken.

Vegetable Samosa, Lamb Curry Combo, Paneer Tikka Masala, Plain Naan Bread, Potato Naan Bread

Proof of the old saying "Don't judge a book by the cover". Yes its in a gas station. Yes food is served in plastic containers. Yes it is probably some of the best Indian food in the area and better than the nearby sit down Indian restaurants. Extensive menu of chicken, lamb, goat, salmon, and veggie options. We had the lamb curry, paneer tikka, veggie samosas, regular &potato naan. The lamb was super tender and was generously sauced- essential for dipping the naan into. Seasoning on the paneer tikka was perfect and I could have eaten an entire plate of the roasted onions and peppers in that seasoning. We have been driving past this place for years but never stopped...so glad we did.

Holy Moly, best gas station Indian food you will ever have. First No I have never had Indian food from a gas station. Second don't let the gas station discourage you. The tandoori wings are some of the best wings I have ever had. The Naan is fresh made, and we also had a lamb dish and a chicken dish. Oh and forgot we had the veggie and chicken pocket things. It's the best !!!

They also have a full menu including kabobs, biryani, chicken, shrimp, goat and bean entrees. Al-Madina serves huge naan, it's true. I've only had the plain naan basket. I would like to try the garlic and kabuli naan with sesame seeds. Love the Yogurt Salad here. It's a gigantic bowl of yogurt, cucumbers, onion, tomato, mint, cilantro, and lemon. It's bountiful and delicious. We tried the samosas with potato, coriander, mint, cumin seed and red chili's. Very good. We enjoyed the Butter Chicken but it was not like any butter chicken I've had before. There was very little butter and cream present. The sauce was red and spicy. I ordered it as a mild version for the person eating with us. Maybe one could request extra cream if they are looking for a traditional, Amercan-ized, Indian Butter Chicken dish? It was flavorful, for me, though. We also enjoyed the Chicken Tandoori. It is moist, very well-seasoned and delicious. Zero complaints! We really liked the Chana Masala which is great for vegetarians. This is a chickpea dish with spices, and you can tell they have been marinated for a very long time. We tried this on the buffet. The Kabuli Palaw is a very mild and lovely rice dish. It comez with bone-in beef (so if you are serving children or seniors, pull this meat out for them), basmati rice, raisins and carrots. The raisins make it sweet and great. The Chicken Biryani is good and spicy but I enjoyed that it wasn't a fire-spice level. We ate this at the buffet so it was on the medium-spicy side vs. other wildly, spicy biryani's. The Kheer is super-delicious! It's a rice pudding with milk, heavy cream, almonds and pistachios. We also had this in the buffet and loved it. Especially the cardamom notes. The Chai is served very quickly here, so I'm wondering if they have a large soup pot of it in the back. It's nice but add sugar if you like it sweet. I liked that I didn't have to wait forever for it. The spices are just right and I ordered a second one! The service here was very friendly. Most of the staff spoke to us when I requested things and it is like an all-hands-on-board approach. This is why they describe themselves as fast-casual: you can just go to the front and ask for what you need when you are eating at the buffet. Things on this menu which pique my interest: White Lassi (dogh). I looked it up and it's plain yogurt and sugar with aromatics such as cardamom or rose water. They have the following fresh fruit juices: banana, mango, apple, orange, lemon, and watermelon. You can also mix two fruits. I wonder if you can add yogurt because I've and never had banana juice. The Afghani Sheryakh with milk, cream, sugar, cardamom, crushed almonds, saffron, and pistachio also looks delicious. The lentil soup looks delicious, as well as the lentil entrees. When they say it's fast-casual Indian and Pakistani, this is helpful because I've seen words, "Afghan," in titles and Kabuli in a dish name mentioned on the menu so it's a bit confusing. But a woman I was speaking with said the cooks are Indian and Pakistani. Madina is the name of 'the' holy city in Dubai. Maybe it's a similar concept to Jerusalem for us Christians. So there is this whole menangerie of countries mentioned in the menu, basically. The cooking here is the least closest to American Indian that I am used to eating. We really liked the flavors here. I saw jalapeños in a few of the buffet dishes and for me, all that was missing was beer to tamp the spice! Ah well, Coke and Pepsi did the trick for now. Would come back to Al Madina again. It's probably the closest I'll get to the real city of Madina in Dubai.
