Unfortunately-food was very disappointing. Nans were not typical nans, more like thick Arabic bread. Seekh kabobs were horrible, made with some unknown masala's. Highly Recommend ! We Wanted to try this place cause it is New and I love a good Biryani. It's a great location and the food was awesome, We ordered the Chicken Biryani and the Chicken Korma which came with a generous portion of Nann. Firstly would like to say we're Bengali bc alot of the reviews are from non desi folks. Came here on a Saturday night and saw it was empty so we were initially alittle skeptical. So GLAD we decided to eat here. The service was amazing. The host was very accommodating and his service was amazing. Restaurant was clean. As for the food we got the chicken pualo, channa, chicken karahi, mutton korma. Everything was so good! Literally no complaints. Read some reviews where people were complaining about the channa but the channa was genuinely really good and that's how it's supposed to taste. It's this specific masala they use that's why it taste like that. As a brown desi person I can say this place was really good and authentic so definitely recommend it. read more

Ok, here is my update. I've ordered about twelve times already and that's only because I live about 45-50 minutes away. Otherwise I would be dinning here at least once a week. I must say that every single time I've ordered it's been Excellent! Each time better than how I remember it from the previous order. Always fresh, delicious generous portions worth every penny. Friendly service and always ready on time. The restaurant is always immaculate. I'm shocked that there isn't a line out the door. Seriously! A must try you will not be disappointed! I have noticed that some of the prices here on yelp are much higher than what they actually charge... errors on yelp's menu. So I would call if you have any questions about the cost. I'm in town for the week and have eaten here twice so far. Both times I've eaten there I've gotten the samosas, which are easily the best I've had. One night I got chicken korma and tonight I got butter chicken, both excellent with great flavor and generous portion sizes. Our server was Ray both night and she is incredibly kind and welcoming. I am a skeptical about authentic Pakistani food, but alas, I stand corrected. This place is legit. Their hours are a little crazy as they don't open until noon on certain days. I asked the owner about the whacky hours and did I feel like a schmuck. He was limited by employees and needs to find a front desk employee. The food is pretty pricey but if you get the chola(chickpeas) and add chicken or mutton for $2 or $3 more, it comes to under $20. The food and experience were exceptional. read more

I've been enjoying Desi food since 2006 and consider myself a biryani aficionado. In Philadelphia, there are tons of Indian restaurants; however there is only one Pakistani restaurant that was very tasty, until it wasn't. In Dover the ethnic offerings are sparse and lackluster. I've tried a couple of the Indian restaurants on DuPont Highway.... The food was dismal. So, when I had Shupback catering at an event I was ecstatic and subsequently had them cater one of my events. When I learned they were opening a restaurant, I couldn't wait. We had dinner during the soft opening and aside from the lack of naan (due to a staffing issue), everything was delicious. We returned again last night and it didn't disappoint. My favorite is the Goat Karahi because of the flavor dimensions...the tandoor chicken is also spectacular (and lacks the artificial red coloring)...the kheer is literally the best I've had. A couple of caveats - be sure to ask for spicy if you want an authentic experience, the naan is thick (reminiscent of Cosi bread), and be prepared to spend $30-40 per person but it's worth every penny. read more

The food was good. Service and courtesy was wonderful. Only thing I didn't like is their palak saag was made with spinach and broccoli rabe which made it bitter. It did say it on the menu though. This was my first visit to Shupback Pakistani Kitchen, but it will not be my last! The dining room was spotless and neat, with beautiful artwork by the owners' daughter displayed throughout. There were yummy smells coming from the kitchen, and our hostess was very attentive and offered delicious suggestions. The goat was seasoned perfectly and so tender. The naan was fresh and paired so well with everything. I had never had Kashmiri Pink tea before, and I liked the creamy and soothing taste. I've not had a lot of Pakistan or Indian food, but this is definitely the best I have tried. The tea was refreshing.
