First experiences with them was back in 2018 when I got a new Soul. Their waiting area was nice, but they have improved it further since then with quite nice seats (only wish they had a few recliners for naps/back issues. Their culture, as I remember it, was one of positive energy, attentiveness (not just to customer "kissassery" but to the processes like getting the paperwork right, back checking TSB and recall info each time you get even a simple service done. Now, I used to be a mechanic, and as a former mechanic, here is my take on the service department in three crucial areas: 1. Upsell. I used to work for Quebeceaux GM and Quebeceaux, Mitsubishi, and (yeas ago, but if the news recently has been any indication then it sounds like Quebedeaux's dealerships have only slithered even further into unethical up-selling and your average stealership high pressure sales/service) and I have yet to even be told about some convoluted "recommended service - of any system, let alone one that a blind mouse could see is 100%. You know, like those service shops that come at you with a 6-month quote for 15 different fluid changes, inspections, and maintenance predictions? Yeah, they don't pull that crap at Royal. Not with my Soul back then, and not with my 2024 Niro EX Premium now. 2. No fake smiles or awkward pandering vibes. While, I am sure, there may be a degree of behavioral modification to oblige the professional culture/vibes Royal management/corporate is going for... It doesn't FEEL A the same as most places. I am not trying to say it is some polar opposite utopia ... Just... That it feels like the same culture being used towards CUSTOMERS is being applied to their sales and service people. Like... They are obviously expected to be professional and courteous... But I don't feel the awkward, over the top synthetic pleasantries from anyone there. You know... That.... 'Held at gunpoint' kind of customer service. That, robotic smile insincerity stuff. Maybe that is just my ADhD/Spectrum brain-stuff making me more sensitive to those "can't quite put my finger on it" voodoo vibes in the social atmosphere. Anyway, I like the environment there and feel comfortable being away from the safety and sanity of my house when at Royal Kia - seriously... I am not big on going places because society is unhinged and uneducated as hell these days. 3. No comebacks. Not just for service-related SNAFUs, but for those sloppy things other places do. Take for example, my parents have a RIDICULOUSLY expensive PHEV from some Mazda dealership on the east side of Tucson. It recently had a warranty service done for a CEL. All that was pretty routine and no big deal, just a random fluke issue that was completely minor and written off in the end as likely caused by a minor computer bug, since all testing of the car proved everything was running properly. Anyway... With that said, you would think that it would mostly be diagnostic, OBDii connector and test driving type stuff, right? Hardly any reason for anyone to get greasy, grimy, sticky-targum muck all over the hood or something, right? And ... Surely... With the chill diagnostic circumstances, surely they would not have been rushed or hectic enough to have those at excuses for NOT wiping their gunk off the paint/plastic, yeah? No. I was about to ceramic coat it for my parents last week and I had to reschedule because it took me an extra HOUR just for the washing/detailing stuff I had to do - ON A STILL NEW, HIGH END MAZDA LUXURY PHEV SUV! With that said, I have NEVER had anything but a freshly washed, gunk free vehicle returned to me. And, on this one in particular, I KNOW they treat vehicles with respect to cleanliness - since I have custom cream white and greystone leather seat covers. No way in heck some greasy fingered mechanic is getting in my car without leaving grimy evidence on THAT kind of material. So, maybe they use a service valet to move the cars? I dunno, but whatever they do, they respect your vehicle - even in the secret lair of the mechanics. Overall, me likey. read more

We live in Benson. 45 miles from Royal Kia. Our 2016 Kia Soul had problems so we had it towed. Made an appointment for the next day and everything was handled over the phone. Desiree was our service agent and was so very helpful. We had to leave the car over the weekend but they got it working in 2 days. We are very thankful for the outstanding service and communication. We purchased and traded in a vehicle at Royal Kia Tucson (last night) and I couldn't be happier with the service, transparency and follow up. They were honest and forth coming with a very good price listed on their website (lower than what was marked on the vehicle). They do better than Car Max on trade offers. AND they were able to match the APR we were quoted from USAA. While all car buying experiences take time not all are pleasant. We worked with a newer salesman who was assisted by a more senior salesman and both were honest, checked things we asked, and made it relatively painless. Recently purchased a new car... I initially came in just to test drive, was given many options & our salesperson Nicole spent hours with me answering all of my questions. When we returned the process was as smooth as car buying can be - which isn't really that smooth haha. After hours of buying my new car, there were issues with paperwork with MVD - but eventually we got it taken care of. Only downside, there were quite a few specs I wish had been explained or shown to us - I didn't even think to ask about them assuming things like a lift gate came standard on SUV's nowadays. I am owed a $250 deposit on a car I didn't buy months ago. I am still waiting for my deposit. The numbers seem to have been changing constantly pending my desire to trade in my 2020 Toyota Prius Prime with under $30,000 miles. The salesman was aware I was reluctant to take a financial beating on my trade-in and therefore the numbers were changing. The sales price was only slightly lower than the manufacturer's price and they even wanted to charge $200 for keys as if that were something extra they added just to jack up the price. I already wrote a great review regarding the purchase of my Sorento from Royal Kia of Tucson, specifically the sales consultant, Keith Jones but this needs to be added to that. We made the purchase over a month ago and because of new Sorento software, possibly the new iPhone software and our own ineptitude we couldn't get the iPhone to pair with the Sorento. My wife and I tried everything we could think of but couldn't get it done. We called Keith who was more than happy to assist us, even though the sale is long past. My wife took the car to Keith and he worked at it for about a half hour until he finally got things set up. It wasn't easy for him and this service didn't make any money for him. Keith didn't care about that, he just wanted to help us. He eventually solved the problem. Tomorrow we leave on a 19-day drive which would have been miserable if our iPhone wasn't paired. I've shopped here several times and they're very consistent. Decent prices, good trade-in values, and helpful and knowledgeable sales staff. And they're pet friendly, so I can stop if a car catches my eye when I have my dogs, which I'm often out with my dogs. This service department is the absolute worst. My wife came in here after hearing strange engine noises and asked someone to look at it. The service manager drove our 2016 Kia Sorento around the block, came back and said it was fine and he would have no issue putting his wife and child in it. Two days later the the engine seized due to a recall issue that was never fixed. We bought this car used from them at 74k miles and at 86k miles the motor failed. They told Kia mailed us recall messages that we never received but we brought the car there for service multiple times and they never addressed it. Worst was that they said the second owner does not get the 10 year/100k mile warranty. We paid out of pocket for a new engine, $5500 to be exact. Eddie is a snake oil advisor or totally incompetent. Shady business practices to sell subpar vehicles. I recommend doing business elsewhere. read more

I would avoid this dealership. We bought a slightly used Sportage from Royal Kia on Saturday, May 24. We agreed on a price for the vehicle we were trading in, gave them a cash deposit, and financed the rest. The car had a heavy odor of cigar smoke so it was agreed to send it to a detailer who could mitigate the smoke through an ozone treatment. We were told we would have the car on Thursday as it would't go in until after the holiday weekend. It wasn't "should have" or "probably will have" so we were counting on getting it on Thursday and arranged the insurance accordingly. When we didn't hear anything on Thursday, we called and were told that it wasn't ready and that they couldn't tell us when it would be ready. Note: we called them, they did not reach out to us. It's now Friday and we called again (again they didn't reach out to us) asking to speak to the sales manager who wasn't available. We were told we would get a call back. What we got instead was a text from the sales person saying that the detailer needed to keep the car over the weekend. We called the detailer directly and confirmed this. Royal Kia will have had our money for 10 days before we see the car. Not to mention that we are paying for extra days of insurance. We can understand that there is a delay, but what is unacceptable is their lack of communication and understanding that this is a problem for us. We are really questioning our decision to buy a car from this dealership given the way we have been treated and are wondering what compensation we should ask for. read more

They did ALL service here and included the records. Had the car checked out by my mechanic. Tip top shape. But Lordy the extra unneeded services were crazy. A new drive belt every 7,500 oil change. Nope. Engine coolant replacement at 90K instead of 120K per the owners manual. Again they appear to do solid work. Just stick to the owners manual for your KIA tune-ups and repairs. read more

We took our Kia Niro to this dealership for 5 years for routine and recommended service. Suddenly our "Check Hybrid Battery, Turn Engine Off" warning light appeared. We asked them to look into it. They thought it was caused by pack rats (it wasn't, which they admitted later). A few thousand miles later, our catalytic converter went bust, and they asked us to pay $7,000 for it. The car had been in their care for 2 months during the summer because they were slow to finish what they called unrelated repairs. When I picked it up, I drove 1 mile before the warning light returned. A few days later, the converter apparently went bust and the engine stopped. That's when I got the call about the $7,000 charge, with the service tech saying ignorantly, "I don't know if this is bad news or good news." Then I respectfully asked how the converter breaking wasn't connected either to the warning light months prior or the "unrelated" more recent repairs and was passed off to his manager. The manager has mostly ignored my emails and voice mails. The service center has offered us a "loaner" car while we await a solution, which we greatly appreciate, but every other action taken (or not taken) by the Service team has caused us so much stress and cost thousands of dollars. We loved driving a Kia until this all happened. Now we're forced into writing reviews like this, contacting Kia national and considering small-claims court in our search for a remedy. read more

Start off with my partner buying her very first brand new car in 20'. It was a 21' K5. She was excited and proud. There was a clunking in the suspension, so we dropped it off for warranty work. Virtually every day, we were told it's not done. W're trying to figure it out, etc. If I remember right (this was a couple years ago) th,y had the car for two weeks. They did get us a loaner car, a new 21' Kia Forte GT Redline. When we did get the K5 back, two weeks later, it had 7k miles put on it, and the interior was dirty (fabric). I had the service manager come out and look immediately. He acknowledged it and offered to have the grease on the seats professionally cleaned. That's when I noticed the mileage. There is no excuse that can be made for this. Her brand new car was being used by someone else or loaned out. We could never get a straight story on what happened - we were not happy. Still, it was acknowledged that something wrong had happened. She bought the 21' Forte GT Redline they gave her as a loaner instead. Obviously, not wanting to keep a brand new car that had been used for 7k miles and had grease on the seats. The owner, and Humber called (I was on three three-wayning) and gave her six free oil changes in exchange for not writing a bad review. She's had two of her six services done, as this car is a 21' bought in 20' and s,e barely drives it. It has under18k miles on it currently, as of Feb 2025. I can provide pics if you like. It's time for a service, not by miles, but by time. WE have called and left messages for services with no return call. Return number was left every time. We had this problem the last time, too. Last time, we called Humberto, and he got it scheduled. THIS time, two messages to service, three messages to Humberto, and I myself called and left a message. We got crickets - nothing. I can only speculate this is what is happening: because they had an unreliable employee who loaned/took her brand new K5 for 7k miles, broke the plastic eye lashes on the Forte the first free service (they did pay me to order new ones) and there was a tire issue, they did pay for. ANOTHER tire issue, that when they gave me a price, it was $45 more than quoted when they said it was ready. It's been problem after problem with this dealership. We went there cause of their good rep.and Kia's were less than many other vehicles. But, it surely seems that they pick and choose who gets good service and who doesn'. I know the diplomatic response from the owner that's gonna happen- but there is no excuse. 1. Original new car was loaned out and 7k miles were put on it while it was in for warranty work - for two weeks. 2. Owner and GM contacted her and gave her six free oil changes for no bad review. 3. Quoted a price on a replacement tire, that was $45 more than we were quoted. 4. Couldnt get a return call from service after approx five messages for the 1st oil change. Went through the GM to get it scheduled. 5. Service broke off her headlight eyelashes (they did replace them) 6. Another tire issue, that due to no returned phone calls we went to a tire shop and had it replaced. Tire shop gave paperwork that this was a defective tire - they did pay us back. We shouldnt have had to do this in the first place if someone would call us back. 7. This time, Multiple unanswered messages left for service, multiple messages to Humberto, a message in the general mailbox. Spoke with a human twice and asked for Humberto - sent to vm. Nothing. No call has been returned. At this point, I wouldnt let this dealership touch this car. I'll get a Groupon for an oil change rather than have their people sabotage the car. It's the old "you busted us and called us out, now we're gonna treat you like crap, or like you don't exist. I was with my friend every step of the way, and was personally involved in all aspects, and every interaction. Including being on three way calling when she was promised six free oil changes,so a bad review was not written. I know the diplomatic response we're gonna get from the owner -,but there is no excuse. Period. I am one of the owners of the car. read more

I lost a lot of money with them ... *Warranty Forever-is a third party insurance, and is not covering a very common power train problem, high oil consumption. *There is a Technical service bulletin related to high oil consumption, they didn't follow that procedure, instead they asked me to tear down the engine hoping that the insurance will cover the cost, but the insurance is not covering this type of defect. *The recommended oil for GDI engines is full synthetic, their service is using synthetic blend. The problem with this thing is that, synthetic blend is amplifying the carbon building, a common problem for this engine, plus, for most of the oil brands, the percent of the synthetic is unknown. *Certified used vehicles-from my point of view certification was not properly done. read more

He left a generic email address and no phone number for me to contact. I've written three emails since that point, none of which have been answered. I receive no answer when I call the dealership, no replies to my emails, and I'm disconnected from the internet chat service. This car dealership has been an absolute nightmare to deal with from day one and I cannot recommend loudly enough that you avoid them.
