WARNING Be aware of this place. Every time my wife has gone to this place, after a couple of days she would get this fungus in different areas of her foot. I'm talking just a $70 pedicure. After the first couple of times, she said oh it's just my foot. However, this last time and I do mean this was her last time at this place. She went to the doctor. They told us that she had a ringworm and yes very contagious!!! They asked where had she been or did she get a foot massage or a pedicure?? We told them a pedicure. She was given some medicine to cure it. However, I hope the owner reads this. I have put a call to the California State Board to have them go pay this place a visit. From the pictures, you can clearly see they DO NOT sanitize their equipment. Again, BEWARE!! read more

Went in for a acrylic set and when it got to the point of cutting the size he just did what he pleased after I said I wanted medium long nails he just decided he was going to cut them short. I don't understand why this place is so underrated. I'm very picky about my pedicure and manicure. I always have something to complain about, but today, when I got my pedicure done by Mary, I absolutely loved it. I had nothing to complain about. My nails were filed perfectly, and the nail polish is the right number of coats. The ingrown toe nail is cleaned and cut, and i didn't feel a thing or got any cuts. There isn't a thing that I could say I didn't like. The place was a bit busy but I didn't have an appt so I didn't mind the wait. I took my 2 super active boys who are very easily bored to starts arguing. The staff was very patient. I also loved my full set done by Lee. I didn't know what I wanted. But wanted it to be simple and not too long. Lee just got it right. The shape is perfect, and there is no bubble. Lee is super friendly and so gentle. I highly recommend both these ladies. The place has a positive vibe. There was parking available. There are lots of nail options to choose from and at least 5 amazing scented pedicure scrubs. Will definitely go back here. read more

Wish I could give this business -0 stars. I took myself and my 3 kids to this nail spa and spent $480. My nails were horrible but I kept it didn't complain. I booked another appointment to give them another chance. I went in for my appointment today and the lady was so rude. They did a horrible job and it was a very uncomfortable experience. The person they had helping me was at first trying to rip out a dip powder instead of using acetone. I had to tell him multiple times he was hurting me. I LOVE this salon. I never write reviews but reading through the lower ratings for this salon frustrated me so much I need to set some things straight. I understand other people can completely have a different experience but that does not entitle them to make comments about race, ethnicity or sexual orientation. If someone is trans or a different ethnicity than you... it does NOT mean they are any less qualified or talented to do your nails. My experience was amazing. I got a last minute appointment with Kim and we talked the whole time. She was so sweet and transparent about price. Every step of the way she asked if I liked my nails and when it came time for acrylic, she sampled powders for me on a paper towel so it would be exactly what I wanted. She was on the hunt for colors and went all over the store when I never asked her to! She cares about her career and clients. They also have a new rewards program which can get you discounts. Shocking. I come here all the time from Concord. Was sitting getting a pedi a mom and 2 daughters walk in for a pedi also, the Owner tells them they are to busy. No one is in the shop besides myself and my friend. The workers start laughing and speaking in their language and saying busy here's the kicker the family is African American. Think I've found a keeper. Dropped in today after a not so good experience at another nearby salon, and lucky for us, we were able to be seen right away by Isabel and Linda. I've dropped in twice before and both times was told the wait would be 1 hour because they were so packed. We only had time for pedis which were completed to our liking, so we made appts to come back later today just before closing to finish off the experience on our nails. Came back with my teenage son in tow who was all but dragged in by a lasso and tractor. He had a great first pedi experience by Linda and left wanting to know how soon we were going back. I'd call that a success. As for my daughter and I, Isabel took the time to see us both although the appt was only for one and just before closing. Came in to get a full set and the lady who may identify as a male was rough on filing and cut down my cuticle too much that it hurt. Also my cuticle was shaved down so low that it made my nails look a week old. She had a bit of an attitude when I asked her to fix a couple of things and even almost blamed me for the nail polish acting weird when I didn't even touch them. Besides that they're mostly in a good shape. I don't recommend coming since she did it in a rush and was not gentle. read more

I read the reviews for Royal Nails so I headed over there in a pinch. Never again. I felt they were judging my toe nails because they were splitting. When you are talking under your breath and the other techs turn and look over at you...you know they are talking about you. I do not appreciate that at all. The person who I think was the owner kept getting up to do things and not attending to me after she was talking about my toes which took away from my time. If I could paint and do my own pedi's I would but that's why I treat myself. Just not very happy at all. I'm heading back to Phillips. In response to the first review, there is clear sign on the front of the counter that states that you cannot pay gratuity with your card. Maybe it was'tn stated because the sign is right there. As far as the dryer, it is set for a certain period of time. Once it cuts off, I would think that you would stand up and get ready to go. They are busy in there, which is the reason why it does sometimes takes long to get started. When your dryer is, so are you. In response to the second review, yes, it does sometimes take long to get seated. They have alot of clients and do sometimes book them too close. Also take into consideration that it was a Saturday, everyone and their mother is trying to get on Saturday for whatever shindig they need to go to. The best time to schedule in on a weekday morning or afternoon. I have been dealing with them since 2005. They originally started at another local nail salon. That salon was not treating their employees or clients properly so one got smart, opened her place and took her friends. Gotta give them credit for that. I give this place a definite thumbs up! It's clean, inexpensive, professional, and the techs have alot of experience. I have been dealing with Jennifer for almost 5 years. She does awesome pedicures, never does the same design twice and she does it all by hand. She also does my eyebrows and facials. She always clears my face up! Billy is my nail tech. He has been doing nails for the past 14 years and does an excellent job. I always receive compliments on my nails and he's very creative about his work with me. I'd say try them out. Make sure you call ahead, give or take 15 minutes just in case they are busy, pick out your color before you sit down (like most people do), and relax. Your end result will be beautiful and will last it's time. read more
