I visited a new nail salon for a gel manicure and regular pedicure on Thursday, 3/13. By Saturday, one of my nails had already chipped. I called the salon, and they offered to fix it the same day, which I appreciated. However, the repair was poorly done--the polish was bumpy, had a visible ridge, and I could move the polish trying to flatten it. A few days later, the "fixed" polish peeled off, revealing a sticky underside. Additionally, another nail on my other hand chipped. Considering that gel polish is expected to last up to two weeks, I would have been satisfied with at least a full week of wear, but this barely lasted five days. The repair only made things worse. While my pedicure turned out fine, the overall experience was disappointing. I paid $76 (not including tip), and based on this experience, I would not recommend this salon. read more

This has been my go-to spot as of late, and I will tell you why. The cleanliness, good service and calm atmosphere makes it a lovely place to get your nails done. The salon owner is so friendly and remembered my name. She also gave a recommendation on nail shape to make my fingers appear more elongated, which I really appreciate. Love this place! First of all, I found this place because I admired pedicures that my friend and her mom had, and she told me where they went. I came here with a friend (I was treating her out for her birthday.) I called the day of (Friday) and they had room for two!! We were seated next to each other, as well. The place was nice and clean. Their seats are super comfortable--- way more comfortable than others. The pedicure I was give was amazing- the man was gentle and did a fabulous job. The worst nails I've ever gotten. I asked for skinny square and walked out looking like this. I also asked her to fix it while in the store and she "fixed it" and then as I was checking out I noticed there was no polish on the sides of my nail from her "fixing it" and I brought it up and she goes "yeah because I filed it" and I proceeded to ask if she would fix that and then she did. But why do I even need to be almost out of the door for you to fix what you obviously noticed?? Waste of my time and money unfortunately. read more

Went to see Hannah after all the rave! She did okay. She left the nails too short, and different lengths, but I can live with it. I'm giving a one star rating because of Henry (think that's his name) when I was telling Hanah what I wanted and how she cut one side of nail too narrow, he told me they couldn't help me anymore. He was basically telling me to leave. He wasn't the one doing my nails, he isn't the owner. He was just rude. I even told Hanah that if I'm paying for a service, I should get what I want! I may or may not go back. I'm discouraged because of how rude Henry was! I ONLY went there because they are one of the few salons in Antioch/Brentwood area that do hybrid gel and gel x. I should've driven to Concord where I get exactly what I ask for and I'm not refused service for asking that my nails be done how I like them, which is basically what he did, refused service. Nails aren't cheap, there are salons EVERYWHERE, many have left nails salons for press ons, which I've been wearing but today I wanted nails extensions. Don't know why when I can get perfect nails for $20. With that being said, these workers need to be super nice! People are losing their jobs which means less and less will go to get their nails done, so the few that do go, BE NICE TO! Although I'm not 100% satisfied with my nails. Hanah was super nice! I just didn't want to keep telling her to fix my nails 1/30 UPDATE. I called to ask for owner so I can complain about Henry. Henry answered the phone and refused to give me the owners information or when they would be in. My daughter loves to come here she has special needs and is non-verbal but that doesn't matter they treat her like a queen. My 82 year old mom and 91 year old dad loves Rose nails too. I had been continuing to go to Rose Nails for the past year because of my favorite nail tech, Joey. He is 5/5 and truly the hardest worker! I always left very satisfied and happy with my nails. I found out he recently left and I'm beginning to think it has to do with their owners. Before Joey started at the nail spa, they had a younger female who I saw, who was excellent and also left suddenly. Henry, the male owner is very friendly but his wife, Hannah is quite the opposite. She is rude, always scowling and constantly making scheduling mistakes without taking accountability. Now that Joey is no longer at the salon, I will not be back. I've been to this salon a few times now and today was the first time I had to wait a while even though I had an appointment. That was certainly not a nice feeling since I make an appointment for a reason - I don't have that much extra time to spend at a nail salon so I want to make sure I get started at my appointment time. But oh well, since it only happened once so far and they told me many times how sorry they were about it this is not a deal breaker for me. The guy (I think his name is Quoc) who did my nails really took his time which I appreciated. I was worried they would rush through this now since they were so busy. However, he definitely overdid it with the filing and removing cuticles on my fingernails. My nails are in pain still and they even started bleeding. Unfortunately I am always too shy to say something when they hurt me. He saw later how he damaged my fingers and apologized many times. He was very friendly to everyone so plus points on customer service He did a good job but I am worried I will get infections now since he removed sooo much of the cuticles which are a protective layer and there for a reason. I was 1.5 hours at the salon for a simple dip-powder manicure which is a lot of time considering usually I'm out of there within 30-45 min. read more
