At first things were super great then he got to clipping he cut me two times one which resulted in my toe now being infected!! He filled my bottoms of my feet and made one of my feet have a bunch of scabs from rubbing them raw! I won't be going back I even paid for the more expensive pedicure since I never get them done :( read more

They obviously don't know how to do a dip manicure. Came in with long natural nails and asked to keep the length, and keep round. She filed them down so short and the dip looks awful. read more

This place is extremely overpriced. Their polish is goopy and I was not very pleased with the job my gal did. Some girls are perfectionist at painting nails and some just dont care. This gal did not care about the finished job or my opinion. $25 for a basic pedicure. +$7 for callus removal then, wait for the best part, CHARGED ME $33. That doesn't even add up. I just laughed and paid them. I will NEVER be back. Ming and Buena Vista is way better, and if u bring them cash they give you $2 off but you do have an option to use your card. What a joke! I like going here but I will ONLY get a pedicure from Kim. I've gotten pedis from a couple of the other techs and they really suck. Not only did they rush but the experience was not worth the discomfort or the money paid. Again KIM is the best there! The last time I went in though, I called hours in advance to schedule an appt with Kim and the lady at the front apparently forgot to tell her and wanted me to wait for an hour. She didn't even clean it up.. p.s I can tell the nail polish was most likely old because It didn't dry right. I used to love this nail salon! I love Kim, she was by far my favorite but she's usually booked especially for how good she treats her clients and her service. On March 22, 2024 @5:30pm I went in for a gel Manicure. When I arrived, it was very busy which I completely understand.. I waited about 20 minutes and around this time it was around 5:50 when I started getting my nails done by a young lady. She was rushing- again I completely understand that they're busy but i'm also paying for the service and I expected a nice manicure. My manicure was done in less than 20 minutes. Everything was so rushed and to top it off that young lady burned me with the hot lotion while giving me a massage pouring the hot lotion straight onto my hand. My nails were not at all the same shape nor did she actually take the time to correct the little imperfections. I paid $50 + a $10 tip, but I'll never go back.. I had to fix my own nails to make them look a bit decent because they were such a mess! read more

I like this place in general, they pay attention to detail and the prices are good. The only complaint is I got burned when they were sanding my nails down and it hurt and the gash made my manicure look bad. It only happened once though. The pedicures are great and include a hot stone massage. 45 dollars isn't bad for a deluxe pedicure if you ask me! I'm updating this due to my bad experience. I got a pedicure from there and the lady was too busy gossiping with another worker and she cut my left big toe nail too short. I ended up with an ingrown toenail (mind you, I have never had an ingrown toenail in my life before this) which got infected and had to go to the doctor to have it pulled out. read more

The price was right for a pedi and the final result was acceptable but that is about it. And walk-ins are ok here. The staff member working on me was super rough, I asked her very nicely to please be gentle and I held my breath literally praying she would not cut me the whole time. NOT at all relaxing. Then, she was too gentle during the massage, the best part!? She never did ease up on the rough pedi until the massage. The shop was not the cleanest especially the floor. I came in here to get a pedi since my hotel is right down the street thinking it's in a nice area I'm going to get wonderful service. Well that was definitely not the case, WORST PEDICURE EVER!!! This place has two and a half stars for a reason! You would think because you're going to a nail salon at the market place, you'd have better service than other locations in Bakersfield. Just be prepared ladies! You're gonna get disappointed if you deal with an older woman named Emma. You will have your nails either fall off or peel off the next day! What a waste of time & money! Make sure you don't go see Emma, she doesn't understand what NO means! I told her ten times that I didn't want to do a gel manicure because I usually do acrylics but wanted to let my nails take a break. She would not take no for an answer. Over and over again she pleaded with me to do my nails! Feeling sorry for the woman as she seemed so desperate to make some money, I ended up letting her do a gel French manicure. They looked so pretty when I left and I was happy leaving but they started peeling off the next day! Perfect timing for the wedding I had to go to! Oh mind you I gave her a $14.00 tip, 7 for her and 7 for the lady that did my feet. I tried talking to the manager named "Hung" to fix the issue and he just gave me the run around! A disabled friend of mine went here today for a gel manicure. She had a caregiver with her and using a walker and being non verbal, one could see she has a disability. How dare you treat her less than anyone else! Shame on you! You should have been more patient with her and made accommodations to provide her great service! The name of your shop, Royal Nails, would seem to equal royal treatment and this was completely the opposite service that was received. It is very evident that Royal Nails does not have the compassion and tolerance to service special needs people. I would not recommend this business to anyone and especially to people with special needs! My friend left there feeling hurt and unhappy with the services and lack of compassion provided!!! Do not go here. You have been warned. This was one of the worst businesses we have ever dealt with period. The man running the front quoted my wife and daughter 30 for a full set and 23 for a pedicure. (I was standing right there when he told us). However after getting in the chair and the nails were being worked on they said, oh, that longer length is 60, and the pedicure is 45 now (even with out trimming the toes). We live in in the bay area, and this is more that San Francisco!! The guy in the front got really rude when we told him you literally just told us it would be half the price and started arguing with my wife. Seriously, this place a royal piece of you know what. I honestly have been going here for four years and haven't reviewed it because I'm confused on how I feel about this place. Let me break down my stars... One star...they always have seating. I've never had to wait, ever! Even if I get nails and toes done at the same time I've never had to wait. With that being said, I can run in after work, in the morning on the weekends, or late in the evening and still get service. When life is super busy sometimes that alone is the deciding factor on where I should go. One star...the price is consistent and affordable. They don't push services on you but they do ask but just once, which is fine. One star...there are some excellent technicians here who really care about the quality of their work.They take their time and do a diligent job and don't make you feel like ants in a line of grubby cuticles and rough heels. So three stars. But here are my concerns 1) The service is often inconsistent. What I mean by this is that sometimes you get an amazing service and others not so much. One week my gel nails will last three weeks and the other week my nails chip and break within four days. I guess I could get the names of those I like and make an appointment, but sometimes I don't plan on my nails and just pop in when I have time. 2) Cash only. Not really a concern per se, but just an annoyance because I never have cash. Ever. I did hear that someone got a fungus from here, but it was five years ago and their services and cleanliness have greatly improved! Overall I recommend but like to be honest. read more

She was super fast yet also meticulous! I chose a pretty light color (baby blue) so it was hard to make it dense enough. However, Tiffany was able to make my nails all shiny just fine! I would not ever recommend this place. Had a simple gel manicure and they pushed their other other services. The hand and arm massage was quick and barely rubbed in the lotion. Tapped on hands and pulled arms during manicure process. No cuticle oil. Amazing , that you could be a customer and treated like an idiot. I never post reviews, but this was ridiculous. Just had the worst pedicure I've ever had here! The girl who did my nails not only rushed through it but had horrible customer service. She scrubbed my feet for less than 30 seconds, tapped my nails with the file almost to just seem like she did something and left my old polish all over my nails. I will never come here again and I will warn all of my friends and family. I just basically paid $40 to have my polish removed. Now I have to go somewhere else to have them fixed. read more

Do not go here!!!! They do not clean their tools like they should; and I would know because I got toe fungus because of it. I know it's gross, but wow it was a HORRIBLE experience! The doctor said it was a really bad case and she gave me some drops, but it took a full year for it to completely go away. It hurt and it was gross and ugly, I couldn't even paint it to hide it. My nail eventually fell off too! This was ALL because of this nail place! Seriously, go somewhere that has a better reputation!!
