To say this place is amazing does not even do it justice. The Activity directors Kara and Rachel are wonderful. They enrich the residents lives each day. They are warm, loving and just all around great people. They truly love what they do and plan the best activities for the residents. People can stay active all day long if they choose. Kara and Rachel know each person and genuinely care for each of them. Without these two women Overlook would not be the same. The kitchen crew are a nice group of people and make great food through out the week. In finance Jaime is great and nice to work with. The cleaning crew is wonderful too. Such a fun, nice group of ladies. They keep the space spotless and do a great job on the residence rooms. The whole atmosphere at Overlook is friendly, upbeat and positive. The size of Overlook is great. Not to big where people don't know each other but a great size where there is space however, they all know each other. I can't say enough great things about this place! Help is also available when moving in. They're available to help place your belongings and doing the clean-up. I am truly disappointed on the intake process of this facility. My father unfortunately was found…read moreunresponsive a couple months ago due to a massive GI bleed. Due to the trauma on his body and brain being deprived of oxygen he experienced a common disorder called icu delirium and goes away with time. When discharged my father was sent to a rehab facility and due to immobility concerns needed a long term care. We called this facility and was denied due to a medication he was taking for the delirium. Mind you my fathers mind is clear he is able to make financial decisions, and using his laptop computer and cellphone. This facility only cares about money and nothing about patient care. We chose this facility because it has a lot to offer but to be denied over one medication is insanity. They also claim they offer memory care services for patients with Alzheimer's and dementia. If you were to ever look into there medication history you will find the pages of medications for mental health and mood stabilizers. Don't go here they really don't care about helping our community.

And then shortly after that they raise the fees more based on a very flawed point criteria. And when you question the points they kick your loved one to the curb. And of course they get away with it all because they are not a regulated nursing home. VERY COLD hearted people running this place. I would not let my worst enemy live here.
