The staff that used to work there are gone, and now it seems to just be one person. I asked him about a knife they had in the display, but he had no idea what he was talking about and just kind of gave up and drifted away after a minute. Also, their hours are all over the place. Often when I walk by their gate is down, or the door is locked. Such a shame, I really liked going in there before. There was nothing else like it in the area. After a recent order was placed for a washer/dryer and was delivered in an inoperable condition, the "customer service" at Shumacher's became non-existent. To hang up on my 92 year old legally blind mother repeatedly is not the way to conduct a local (or any) business. Unless you want to be treated like crap once you pay them, you must STAY AWAY!!!! I wish the new owners good luck in their upcoming retirement, but this unfriendly, incompetent enterprise should not be allowed to exist!!!
