I can't express enough just how awesome it was having Kris Masaki as a property manager while I was a renter. He was really easy to work with, patient, and understanding. When I had a couple issues with my apartment, he got back to me right away and had people in there quickly to remedy the situations that arose (ie. the very start of termites showing themselves, a leaky faucet, etc.). He was extremely cool when it came to moving out too. It was a pretty stressful time for me, but working with Kris definitely made the process easier. FIVE STARS for SHARI SODETANI of Royal Realty! I saw great Yelp reviews for Shari Sodetani so I contacted her because we were having problems with our former property management company and our rental home had sat empty for over two months. Once we signed with Shari, things moved very quickly! She went to the house, took pictures, had the electricity and water turned back on again (the former management co. left it off for over two months!), got a quote to have the yard cleaned up (the lawn was overgrown and the weeks were as tall as Shari), made a punch list for the handyman to make some minor repairs, etc. She also had good recommendations for minor upgrades to make the home more attractive to potentials renters. Shari saw the poor condition the refrigerator was in and we agreed it should be replaced. She went to Lowes to buy a replacement that night! Because of Shari's connections, she was able to find us great tenants before the home was even posted for rent. From the point that we signed the property management agreement with Shari, she had the rental agreement with the new tenants signed in less than two weeks. Truly remarkable! I would highly recommend Shari to anyone looking for a reliable, hard-working, extremely professional property manager. She is very personable, easy to work with and she gets things done!! Run, run fast. They collect the money, they do get it rented and then they ignore the condition of the unit. I placed my unit with them for property management, then a few years later, for sale. Shortly after I flew in to do a walk through. I was horrified by the condition. There was the laundry closet door laying on the living room floor and damaged. The controls for the roll up shutters were gone. No way to operate them. a nine inch crack in the bathroom sink bowl (custom vanity so cannot find a replacement). These are just a few of a three page list of the damage and theft. Royal Realty collected nothing from the tenants security deposits and gave them their money back (except for the down door, at least that was what was told to me). No accounting for any of this. They expect me to pay for it. I had to fly the repair man into Oahu to fix the roll up shutters and reprogram two new remote controls. They did nothing to make this right. I wanted to conduct another walk through on September 9th. Kris from Royal Realty never responded to my request or had any further communication with me. I had left a spare "emergency" key with my neighbor. He found out and collected this key. That was my last key. Since he stopped responding to me I had to have a locksmith come out so I could get into my unit. Another $803.02. There is a whole lot more about their lack of professionalism. Let me just add a brother living in my my unit that was supposed to be vacant. read more

I own a Unit at the Tradewinds Hotel in Honolulu, Hi. I live in California, so I needed to hire a Property Manager in Honolulu, Hi. I hired Monica Cooper to be the Property Manager of my Unit. She was Highly Recommended. I am very FORTUNATE to have her as my Property Manager. She has provided me with nothing less than EXCELLENT Service in every stage of the way. She practically renovated my Unit to look like a model apt, she is a very hard worker, she even worked on the weekend trying to get the Unit ready for my New Tenants that wanted to Move in by the beginning of the Month. Monica had hired someone to do the painting of the Unit, along with adding a new Ceiling Fans and repairing items that needed fixing, etc. This person was not responsible, he totally failed on the job ! he was supposed to have done, so Monica had no choice but to fire him. Monica had to move fast and hired someone else to finished the job, along with her husband doing assembling of the new furniture, etc. There is so much more that Monica did for me, she also did a lot of shopping for the Unit, buying new bathroom lighting, Kitchen Hardware and accessories, Towels, New Bedroom set, New Living room set and New Dining Room set. I did not have any thing against the company but one of the agents. At first The agent was very helpful and professional. After a year in a place that the agent was a property manager of, I started to clear out of the property. I've saved the owner and the manager over $500 by doing some of the fix-er-up projects. The agent charged me $600 plus in damage that was a normal wear and tear of any property that is rented out year by year. I've tried to work with the agent but they did not respond to anything I sent them. In the end they were very unprofessional, and I've been living in and out of houses, apartments, and townhouses the past 5 years and I left this place with the best intentions. read more

I had the pleasure of staying at a property managed by Casey near the center of Waikiki. The property was a new listing so I wasn't able to find a lot of reviews but glad I made the decision to make the booking. Casey was quick to answer questions and the self-check-in / check-out process was laid out clearly. While the building is showing some age, the views of Waikiki, the value, and the location were unbeatable. The location is within walking distance to everything Waikiki has to offer since it's smack in the center. Beware, the heat inside the property can be overwhelming (we stayed in February) if the property hasn't been occupied for days but you do have 2 ceiling fans and open windows to combat this. Hand/body soap and laundry detergent were empty and running low but we were able to purchase these at the ABC store a block away. Overall I would highly recommend this property we called home for about a week and have already recommended it to friends and family looking to visit Oahu. read more
