Second time at this resort, the staff are always friendly, polite and go out of their way to make you comfortable. The food isn't great but it's good, as were the drinks. Fun entertainment and games at the pool daily. The swim up bar is really nice (shout out to Antonia...hard worker, super friendly and always on time with drinks). The rooms aren't fancy but they are comfortable and cleaned and restocked with water and drinks daily. This resort is about a 10-15 min drive from the airport, and a short drive to off resort shopping, dining, casino ect.

At the beginning it was good. Staff were friendly and room was good. I paid for amo cena view. Didn't get it. Got a "lake view" cause the ocean view is only for members. Drinks were really watered down. Food had no taste. Could not go to a restaurant unless you had a previous appointment. There were 6 of us and no one said anything nice about the experience. They asked us to go for a visit around both resorts but it was to sell us timeshares. They will ask you to show what kind of credit cards you have so they can get "points" but in reality, it's just so they know you have credit and can afford to buy the timeshare from them. We were pressured into buying and now we can't get out money back from the credit cards. Will never come back here again.

We stayed here 3 nights. There were many things I did enjoy. Great views, friendly check in staff, lots of food, fun night entertainment. Issues with the place including the building itself. Elevators constantly breaking down and being super slow. Hot tub outside the room jets didn't work. Someone came to fix them but they only worked again for a few minutes then stopped working again. Bathroom lights shock you when you turn them on. Shower drips water out all over the floor. Room 1112 door doesn't close properly. You have to make sure to slam it or it stays open. Theater is super hot and chairs are uncomfortable. Worst thing of all though is the workers in the lobby trying to convince you to join their club. It's pretty harassing and when we said we were not interested the guy talking to us got super angry which I found to be very unprofessional. Also, inclusive resort but beach towels cost money which is weird. For 300 a night you would think we could have a towel.

More dilapidated unfinished areas of the hotel. Filled with pests and critters

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEATH TRAP I have been coming here for 34 years! | WILL NEVER COME BACK. This place is a dump and the service is deplorable. After the negligent deaths of Andrew Smith & Ahmed Altaii this place has turned to trash. The food is awful The alcohol is gross The members team put me in a room that wasn't what I paid for !! They tried to give me a regular room when I paid over $2000 for an ocean front. And when they gave me an ocean front room it was outside of a construction site !!! My room reeks of cement and there are loud noises all morning!! I requested to move and two days later l've been ignored. I've asked for compensation: ignored These people are crooks. I paid over $1000USD to leave 3 days back to 30 degree weather, early because it was so bad DO NOT COME HERE

Balcony with wet paint and sharp debris and filthy!!

Our balcony is terrible!! They are doing construction on the balcony 2 floors up and all the debris from the construction has fallen on our balcony and I cut my foot. Management doesn't seem to care. We have been a member for almost 30 years and that's how they are treating us. Also my 2year old granddaughter got a tray of food drop on her lucky no injury but of course terrible management no apology. This is such a bad experience and waste of money!! I should have just stayed home!! I had a group of 20 and they were cocky and didn't care!!

Absolutely unequivocably the worst resort. I've stayed at in Mexico. The staff are extremely rude. They show preferential treatment to those that "appear "to speak Spanish. For example, when I walk by the front desk, people looked at me and then continue to do what they normally do. When my wife, who wasn't with me the first time, walked by with me, less than one minute later, everyone set up and spoke to her in Spanish (assuming she spoke Spanish). The food is horrible. The food is bountiful, but lacks any authenticity, taste, or quality. The lines were always extremely long. The room service was probably the worst situation of all. I ordered a club sandwich. There was one single slice of meat on the sandwich and it did not have bacon... Despite the fact that I asked for extra bacon. In the cafeteria/restaurant area, the beverages tasted more like concentrate. The pool area is poorly maintained. There was little to no chlorine in it. The skimmers were not running. This is a family resort, I wish I would've known that before I selected to stay here. That being said, people allow their children to run rampant all day. The resort should not allow children to be in all areas... There should be an adult/family area. Or, they should mandate that children under certain age cannot be alone. Since this is a family resort, they should consider instituting a dress code. Thongs and G strings and sunbathing do not mix well with the children's play area.

Great Experience and great assistance from Royal Solaris Staff especially to Andres. Experience a VIP treatment from the beginning till end of the day! Non stop food, drinks, entertainment and activities . This place is very safe with polite staff and administration. We recommend this place to enjoy your holiday in Cancun!

So having read some of the previous yelp reviews, I had very low expectations, but I had booked this hotel through Armed Forces vacation club and I was very excited to check it out! The week I was leaving I found out my dad had been here with his girlfriend, three years ago, and had a great time and went on lots of the excursions. From the minute we landed at the Cancun international airport to finding our hotel guide at the airport and the shuttle here everything went very smoothly. Upon check-in the baggage man took our bags to the room for a small tip, and it did take a while to check in, but everyone was very nice. We will find out more about what's available tomorrow when the RCI shop is open from 9 AM to 6 PM however, we were excited to try the dinner buffet at the hotel tonight which once again, exceeded our expectations with fabulous service and amazing local dishes. I was especially excited to be able to eat cactus, Mexican pumpkin, and fresh tamarind juice. The next morning we returned for breakfast and my husband and two kids ate to their hearts content. I enjoyed some fresh, tropical fruit, tropical yogurt, fresh concha, and fresh squeezed watermelon juice most mornings. I am in tropical heaven and I can't wait to go to the pool today. Did I mention the view from our fourth floor room?! Amazing!! Last night once the kids were in bed, I went down to the discotheque area by the bar and it was so fun with live music, people dancing, free drinks, and probably five generations of people hanging out. My only complaints have been the noise from the women cleaning the rooms at 0800 every morning waking us up. My kids favorite parts of the trip was infinite food and drinks without asking adults including late night room service cheeseburgers. My husband loved the swim up bar at the big pool. There is an extremely secure kids' club with activities & water slides. I recommend having $20 peso bills to tip to most of the folks like bartenders, baggage, housekeepers, pizza cooks, etc. they have a lower hourly wage here so they live off the tips they make at the hotel, although you don't have to tip. The food at the restaurants, housekeeping service, RCI Perks, service overall, and views/ambience were exceptional. We could have done without the timeshare sales pitch. We were more interested before the presentation because it was too aggressive for us. We went to the spa twice for Couples relaxing massage & I went for a Mexican massage. I recommend getting there early for a hot tub soak. Both services were amazing!! We will be back!

The good, the bad, and the Ok! The Good - I met some amazing people, the pool area is beautiful and the breakfast/lunch was filling. The Bad - there were only two elevators that take you from hotel floors to the lobby. Pre Covid I might not have cared, but I think everyone is skeptical of packing into an elevator like a clown car! The hotel had a lot of stairs... for me that was great, because I got my steps in, but for seniors or someone on crutches etc, you have to do multiple stairs to do pretty much everything and they are a little pushy on selling the member package. The OK - the hotel needed a little bit of maintenance some of the doors to the pool were wonky and really hard to open, the sink in my room took 4 mins to drain and lastly the lobby was tiny! None of these took away from my stay, because I left fully, tanned and happy!

This hotel is absolutely fantastic. The facilities are well kept and clean. Aside from the beautiful facilities, the staff is beyond amazing from the check in with Fredy, Gustavo in the buffet to Florencio in the resturaunt Bogavante. Luz making poolside pizzas (she was the reason we returned this time), the spa staff was amazing and pool side waitresses were fantastic. On our last day we met Javier, definitely a leader. We were having a conversation and he told us about some menu items coming soon and mentioned Chilies en Nogada. I mentioned I was saddend to be leaving in about a hour because these chilies are my favorite. Javier made something happen and he, Luz and another chef met me at check out with none other than a Chilie en Nogada along with fresh cut fruit with Chamoy for my daughter. Cancun is easy to fall in love with but the people make this place exceptional. Great job Royal Solaris, your team is top notch.

Here is a honest review for those like me who rely on them to help make choices lol. Pros: -The staff was wonderful! -We had no trouble getting dinner reservations, however you do have to make them in person from 930am-3pm daily. -Rosemarinus 10/10. If you missed getting a reservation somewhere, go here. -Sushi was decent, could offer something other than crab and fried fish though. -Pizza was decent. -Venetos (Italian @ GR Caribe) was hands down the best meal we had. -Bogavante-- we went for dinner and lunch. Cerviche and fish tacos at lunch were great, top sirloin was over cooked and not worth it. The mixteca steak at dinner was again over cooked and dinner overall wasn't anything special. -Marco Polo was decent however the steak and veal were over cooked and 1 of the 3 desserts (pineapple cake) tasted like it was soaked in water before it was served. We went on our last night and I walked away wishing we would have just went to Veneto again. -Drink service on the beach and around the pool was great, we never had any issues. -You have access to GR Caribe next door. Honestly I think overall amenity wise Royal Solaris is better but they do have two nice restaurants that you can make reservations for and the pool is way more laid back if that's your vibe. I did not see the rooms at this location. -We easily avoided the timeshare people and wasn't approached a single time for a meeting. However we did talk to several happy members. -The Broadway show succeeded our expectations, we really enjoyed it. However the comedy show wasn't at all what we expected but we sat through it all since it was something to do. That's the only two we were able to make it to. -Clean towels, freshly made beds, trash was always dumped and pickup of room service dishes happened daily. Cons: -When we checked in, no one gave us the details of the property, the nightly show/entertainment schedule, and no one pointed out how to connect to the WiFi which we ended up having to call and ask. -Room service food was always cold, took usually 30-40 minutes from ordering. Definitely the lowest quality food option but it's 24/7. Breakfast is only available from 7am-12pm so if you leave for an early morning tour, food is from lunch menu. -Pools get crowded quick and chairs can be hard to come by but we were able to catch people leaving often. A lot of people put towels out early in the morning to save spots. -You'll here every room door slam when it happens. And if you have neighbors, you'll hear them too. The walls are thin. -Shuttle service not included, $16 per person each way. The bellhop will also help with scheduling taxis but again a very pricy option to get around. $25 for taxi drop off to the airport which was cheaper than riding the shuttle for 2 people. -Location: it's far from the "downtown" area of the hotel zone. There's really nothing in walking distance. Luckily the city bus is right out front, cheap and easy to navigate. -Hotel style rooms, no balcony, very basic amenities, dated. I had higher expectations for a "resort". Apparently the "fancy" rooms go to members first. -Towels are super rough-- apparently members get the nice plush towels from what we were told (from a member). -No currency exchange available-- again you have to go to the prime area in the hotel zone. There is an ATM that distributes pesos, with no choice of denominations. The front desk wouldn't break any bills into smaller ones, most of the time. -Other than tacos and fajitas from the buffets, there's not any traditional Mexican food onsite. You can get a few items from Cafe Solaris at GR Caribe, which is not open for dinner. COVID protocols: -Schedule your covid test early and make sure you have your passport on you when you make it. -Unless you booked your stay by 11/27/21, it's $10 per person. However, we heard someone else ask about the free tests that was previously offered and they stated that changed after 11/27. -Many resorts are offering free quarantine stay if you happen to test positive. Solaris is not. It's in the fine print that you get free transportation to a different hotel (no location given) with a free 3 night stay and free breakfast. Lunch and dinner cost 60 pesos daily. And I'm assuming the additional quarantine time is at your expense. -Masks we're strictly enforced in the eating locations both outside and inside. Most people walking around wore them, and in the theater majority of people were wearing them consistently. Overall this is a budget friendly all inclusive option that truly isn't that bad compared to the various reviews. We like variety so we'd probably try out another resort in the future (maybe adults only because kids aren't our cup of tea) BUT we wouldn't be mad if we stayed here again. It's nice to have access to GR Caribe next door and if you're up for a short walk you can visit GR Caribe Deluxe as well. The hotel style basic room and not being walking distance to the good stuff was the biggest downsides.

Overall good hotel. Great staff. Very accommodating. Didn't really like the food selection. Drinks are good. Pool entertainment was very good every day. Clean rooms. Good option for reasonable price in the hotel zone. If you book an excursion through the travel agency be sure to ask what is recommended to bring. You can buy thing for less at the hotel gift shop than on the excursion.

Everything was fantastic but all the food on the property is really great! We especially loved to order lunch by the pool. All the cocktails are fantastic, even poolside! Rooms are standard JW with some of them recently updated with the others on their way to being updated. Yes, there is a sort of a musty smell in the air, but that's in most hotels. It's a very hard to keep those highly humid rooms from smelling a little musty. You just have to get over it and enjoy the time outside the room. Pools are super cute and the beach area is nice. There is an adult pool that is open during the day but wish it was open later! Lots of places in walking distance if you decide to venture out of the property but why would you need to! Unfortunately, for the past two years, our experiences have declined significantly. The hotel no longer maintains the level of service and standards we once loved. The atmosphere feels different, the staff are not as welcoming, and there is a noticeable lack of attentiveness and care. During this stay, we had a particularly unpleasant two-day experience at the beach regarding the setup of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Rather than going into every detail, I will simply say the situation was handled poorly and left us very disappointed. What was most upsetting was that no meaningful effort was made to resolve the issue or make up for the inconvenience. Even after speaking with Guest Relations, who mentioned contacting the General Manager, nothing improved the following day. No accommodation or gesture was offered, which was surprising given the hotel's luxury positioning. It is also noticeable that the property feels quite empty during weekdays, except on special occasions or long weekends. Even then, the warmth and hospitality we once associated with this hotel seem to be missing. That said, I want to sincerely recognize Valenzo, who served us daily. He was professional, kind, and incredibly attentive. We never had to ask for anything, he would notice small details, like refilling ice before we even realized it was melting. His service was outstanding and he truly tried to make our stay better. Thank you, Valenzo. You made a difference. It is genuinely sad to see a place that once meant so much to us lose its standard. We hope management takes guest feedback seriously and invests in retraining staff to restore the level of service this property was once known for.

We checked in on a Sunday around 4:30, and the room was already cleaned up and ready. We stayed in one of the terrace rooms on the fourth floor, and the room was well maintained the whole trip. Housekeeping was really good, and the lady who seemed to consistently clean our room was super friendly. They also do evening turndown service between about 6 and 9, which I liked more than I thought I would. The food was hit or miss. Sea Corner was easily the biggest disappointment. You really have to like ceviche to enjoy that spot. I tried the battered fish taco, which was a really small rolled fried fish taco and honestly tasted kind of stale. The red snapper tostada was okay, but still pretty subpar. Overall, Sea Corner is one I would skip. Ciete's breakfast buffet was decent, but still very buffet. Some of the food had that stale, been-sitting-out-too-long taste, but the omelet bar and fresh juice/smoothie bar helped a lot. They have two omelet bars, which spreads people out, and Marco at the smoothie bar was awesome. He remembered me after my first smoothie and was friendly the rest of the trip. Azure was pretty good. We split hummus and pita, and I got the chicken in red wine. The chicken was cooked perfectly and came on a bed of mashed potatoes that were really good. Dessert was just okay. The baklava was very cinnamon-heavy and almost tasted like a churro. MB was good and definitely felt like their "dress up" restaurant. I had the stuffed chicken, my girlfriend had the veal cheek, and we also tried the filet mignon. The filet was cooked perfectly medium rare, and the meal overall was good. Not amazing, but one of the better dinners there. Hidden Garden was probably our favorite restaurant. We went there twice because it was that good compared to the other options. The samosas, gyoza, chicken satay, shrimp fried rice, and desserts were all really good. The Thao, basically their version of orange chicken, was also really good. The pad Thai was okay, but sweeter than I prefer. Their signature cocktails were also really good. The Thursday night show was a nice part of the trip. They had a buffet by the pool, with a mariachi band from 7 to 8 and traditional Mexican dancing from 8 to 9. The dancing was almost like a theater-style show, and that part was great. The buffet was on par or slightly below par. They had a crepe bar, a grill with pretty good steak and chicken, and a couple decent soups, but a lot of it still had that left-out-too-long, slightly stale buffet taste. The entertainment and activities were a big highlight. Trivia every night was great, and karaoke was a blast once people started getting into it. Pablo hosted trivia and karaoke with Jorge as the DJ, and Pablo brought a lot of energy. Jorge also DJs at Egos later at night, and they played a good mix of American dance music and Latin dance music. During the day, we tried archery, water aerobics, bingo, the guacamole class, casino night, and a self-facial class. Archery was a blast, and aqua aerobics in the infinity pool was really fun. Ricky was a ball of energy, and Jocelyn was really cool too. The activities did not feel like boring resort filler, which was a nice surprise. A few things could be better. Pool towel service closes at 6, even though people are still in the pool later. There is also basically no shade in most of the pools, so you get crispy pretty fast. They also need to be clearer about which pool beds are first-come, first-serve and which ones are paid or for Club Aqua. I saw multiple people get moved because it was not explained well. Communication could be better too. Some restaurants are closed on certain days, probably because the resort was around 50% capacity, but they should give you a schedule at check-in. We planned to try Verana, their Italian restaurant, and then found out it was closed that day. The humidity is something to think about. Obviously it is Cancun, but the indoor areas and hallways do not have much air circulation. Our fourth-floor hallway also had a broken water feature with sitting water, and I think that made the hallway smell more humid and musky than the rest of the resort. The drinks were decent, but I would not go in expecting strong resort cocktails. I drank margaritas and pina coladas most of the trip and never really felt much from them. For stronger drinks, shots are probably the better route. Overall, Live Aqua Cancun was a really nice, relaxing trip. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the activities were way more fun than expected, and Hidden Garden was a nice surprise. The food is not amazing across the board, the pool setup could be better, and communication could use work, but I still had a really good time. Good resort, not perfect, but definitely worth checking out.

The staff is genuinely friendly, always smiling, and quick to help with anything. Casa Madre became my go‑to spot for breakfast. Tons of options, fresh food, and something for every mood. After that, I'd swing by the coffee shop, which surprised me in the best way. They don't have the fancy frappes or over-the-top drinks, but their "Special Coffee" (fresh coffee mixed with cinnamon and honey) is perfect. Simple, warm, and honestly better than anything blended. For lunch, the taco stand and the Mediterranean spot right next to it were both solid choices. The chicken was super soft and flavorful -- exactly what you want when you're grabbing something quick between pool time. Dinner was where the resort really shined. Delphini had an incredible ocean view that made the whole meal feel special. And the Japanese hibachi night was a blast -- great food, fun show, and it totally hit the spot. Overall, I loved my stay. Definitely need to take stake on pool side chairs in the morning. We reserved cabana before we arrived. Online Marriott Experience app makes it easy reserve dinner and other things! They have several options of the usual themed restaurants. Casa Madra is the Mexican one and probably the least interesting, there were was an odd lack of salt on the chips and food :-) The Japanese combo restaurant (sushi and hibachi) appears confusing to customers and staff :-) Much of the sushi related menu appears to have an additional cost. I was told that the California Roll roll was extra, but the sashimi platter had a roll? The Diakon Maki was great. No chopsticks available for some reason close to closing? Hibachi was okay but I was missing the "yum yum sauce" :-) The unique beach side Delphina restaurant is probably the best and have some good dishes. Had a great red snapper catch of the day at the Hana restaurant. Two restaurants double for buffet style breakfast serving. The one at the Mexican restaurant is open to the outdoors, but they have hawk trainers to keep the birds away :-) The Champions sport bar is out by the main entrance door to the left. Open 12m to 12am. Damien is great. Pro tip: get a latte from the main lobby and top off with Bailey from the sports bar before the lobby bar opens at 4pm : Janssen has some cool tricks and drinks at the lobby bar :-) Very clean, staff of all levels picking up things everywhere. There is turn down service here, which I wasn't expecting. Large number families with kids, which didn't brother us. Count on a destination wedding party over a weekend stay :-) Coming here between the two US holidays (Thanksgiving & Xmas) there is a dip of occupancy to around 50% it appears. All in all positive and not a bad place to burn your Marriott points in my mind. It may not be a high-end all inclusive resort but will fit many just fine :-)

The reality was the exact opposite. Check-in took over an hour because staff claimed they couldn't find our Expedia reservation. Another person in our group had already paid for services through the resort's website but was repeatedly asked for additional payment. Our group spent an extra $1,000 on upgrades hoping to improve the experience. It didn't. The rooms were small, outdated, dirty, and not worth the extra cost. The food was terrible. We expected mixed quality based on reviews, but much of it was barely edible. Making dinner reservations felt intentionally difficult, and once we finally secured them, we were forced to sign agreements acknowledging additional fees if we were late. The biggest disappointment was the complete lack of atmosphere. There was very little music, almost no nightlife, and most activities shut down before 11 PM. We ended up leaving the resort almost every night so the boys could find entertainment elsewhere. What frustrates me most is how misleading the marketing is compared to the actual experience. After more than 15 years of booking travel through Expedia, I'm genuinely disappointed that Expedia continues to partner with and promote a resort that feels built around false advertising, upselling, and disappointing guests. We trusted the Expedia brand, and this resort fell far short of the experience it promised. Save your money and book somewhere else.

Sometimes all inclusive hotels can feel gimmicky, like being on a cruise ship or something. This was not that at all. This was a high end experience from start to finish. The hotel service and facilities are impeccable. I was blown away by the care they take to tend to each guest. I was only there for a few days and people took the effort to learn my name and my personal preferences. To start, the room was incredible. I stayed in a suite and it had a juccuzi right inside the room and an ocean view with a hammock. The room also came with a mini bar which was restocked daily (although you could also call and request anything at any time). Every day they had a different schedule of activities for guests with quality entertainment (not tacky acts). They had all all white party with a circus one day which was fun, a foam party, bull riding and more. The food deserves its own review. It exceed my expectations by a lot. They had several food options to choose from, including an Asian restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, a mexican restaurant a cafe and a global buffet. The restaurants were all open extended hours until 10 or 10:30 so there were always food options available. The global buffet did different themed dinners every night. Of the restaurants, I liked all but I'd say the Mediterranean was the most high quality. The preparation and taste was on par with any top NYC restaurant. The octopus dish was especially memorable. Second favorite was probably the Mexican restaurant. They have a chef from Oaxaca who makes a great mole. At each restaurant, the managers always made an effort to stop by my table to make sure I had what I needed. The employees genuinely care about serving you and they do it gladly. Sometimes you go to places where the employees are disgruntled or have a bad attitude. Not the case here at all. Everyone seemed generally happy and in a good mood. It felt like most of the people here were celebrating something, whether a bachelorette party or birthday, but it didn't feel overall raucous or anything. They had a silent disco one night and I think that also helped with any potential late night noise issues. I was really impressed with how well curated the schedule of activities was. Additionally, the hotel was very clean. When I first got in, people were mopping. They're constantly changing pool towels that are left out. Everything was spotless. The sheets were crisp and white. My room was changed to my liking. No complaints. One of the better places I've stayed. I would definitely come back in a heart beat. I loved it here!

This was not my first visit to Hyatt Zilara Cancun and it was actually my amazing experience here in 2019 that started my loyalty to Hyatt. I am currently a World of Hyatt Discoverist member, and after my first visit to Zilara, we loved the Hyatt experience so much that we chose Hyatt Ziva for our vow renewal in 2022. Because of that, returning to Zilara was something I had looked forward to for years. First, the staff at this resort deserves so much recognition. My concerns are not a reflection of the employees because the service was consistently excellent throughout our stay. From before we even arrived to our final day, everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely wanted guests to have a great experience. Before our trip, Eddie reached out as our concierge and was extremely helpful in making sure we were prepared for our stay. He helped coordinate our spa services ahead of time and assisted us with securing a late checkout, which made our trip much smoother and more relaxing. At check-in, Luis helped us on the World of Hyatt side and was wonderful. He explained the changes and additions to the resort, helped us understand reservations, and made sure we had the information we needed. Throughout the resort, the service remained consistent. Even when I had a meal I didn't enjoy, a staff member at the teppanyaki restaurant was genuinely concerned, offered alternatives, and wanted to make it right. That level of care stood out. Our room was excellent. We stayed on the fifth floor in a corner room and it was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was fantastic, and I loved the pillows so much I am actually trying to find out what kind they are so I can buy them for home. The bathroom was great, especially the mirror with multiple lighting options. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, which I always appreciate. The only thing I personally missed was having a bathtub, but overall I had no complaints about the room. The resort itself is beautiful and extremely clean. The pool area is relaxing with comfortable chairs, and it was never difficult to find a place to sit. The atmosphere is definitely more quiet and relaxing rather than a party environment, which can be a positive depending on the type of trip you want. The beach was well maintained, especially considering the seaweed situation during our visit. The staff worked hard to keep it cleaned up, and the things outside of the resort's control, like weather and ocean conditions, did not impact my opinion. The spa was absolutely phenomenal and I wrote a separate review specifically for that experience because it deserves its own recognition. The gym was also impressive for a resort gym. There was plenty of equipment, treadmills, a stretching/yoga space, and even a Pilates studio. I was hoping to participate in Pilates, but the class filled up quickly. I thought the fitness offerings were a nice addition. Where this stay fell short for me was the food. At an all-inclusive resort, the food experience is such a huge part of the overall value because you are eating every meal on property. When we visited in 2019, one of our favorite memories was eating at Pelicanos by the pool, so we were excited to return there first. We knew things had changed since our last visit, but unfortunately the quality and options did not feel the same. We tried several restaurants, and while the service was always great, the food itself was disappointing. The Italian restaurant felt very bland overall, although the bread service and tiramisu were enjoyable. The cacio e pepe and pasta dishes did not meet expectations. The teppanyaki experience also was not what I expected. I was hoping for more of a traditional hibachi-style experience, and the meat quality was disappointing. The buffet was fine, especially breakfast, but nothing really stood out. Room service was quick and the staff was friendly, but again the food itself was not something we loved. My favorite treat on property ended up being the ice cream at the coffee shop. The biggest thing I missed was having easy poolside food options. When I'm at an all-inclusive, I love being able to relax by the pool and grab things like quesadillas, ceviche, or small bites without stopping the pool day. The lack of that type of experience was probably my biggest disappointment. Drinks and pool service were great, and the staff did a wonderful job checking on guests. I personally don't drink alcohol, but it was clear they were attentive with beverages. Entertainment was limited compared to some other all-inclusive resorts. There were some activities and a few performances, but not the larger
