The other day, I was in the MJ Market and noticed they offered frozen yogurt. The gentleman behind the cash register also ran the Sweet Retreat counter. He explained how he makes the fro-yo, and it would take a few minutes to make a 16-oz batch. Well, those few minutes turned into 15-minutes. That's because there wasn't a backup cashier. Everytime a customer wanted to pay for something, the gentleman had to stop and go help them. Now, I don't know if that hurt the quality of the fro-yo. I ordered a 16-oz fro-yo w/ strawberries added. Price $11.50. The container was overflowing, so it was probably more than 16-oz. How was the fro-yo? It could of used a double dose of strawberries. The strawberry flavor was somewhat mild. Usually flavored fro-yo is completely blended with a tartness. My fro-yo was more like a swirl, with pockets of tart yogurt and swirls of strawberry. It was just okay, but not worth $11.50. Would I return for frozen yogurt here? No thanks

My dining companion got a strawberry milk popsicle and I got the aforementioned pecan popsicle. Judging by the speed at which the strawberry popsicle was consumed, it must have been good. My popsicle was not too sweet but did have a nice pecan-y flavor as well as many chunks of pecan halves. The texture was good, very smooth without any ice crystals. And it was served at the right temperature, not so cold it was impossible to eat, but not so warm it fell off the stick. The single person working here was very nice and quickly served us and gave us our popsicles. They nicely don't even ask for a tip, because the popsicles are already made and in plastic so it's not like you're getting any additional attention or work when eating them. I would say the popsicles are on the biggie side, like the equivalent of 1-2 scoops of ice cream. One is definitely enough, eating 2 would make you look a little gluttonous.
