When you're paying premium prices, you expect quality to match, but the desserts were underwhelming and not worth the cost. The pandan waffle was especially disappointing--it was undercooked, doughy, and lacked the texture you'd expect from a fresh waffle. Between the overcharging, poor quality, and underwhelming desserts, this place was a miss for me. There are plenty of better dessert spots in San Jose that offer better value and better flavors. I gave this place a try because they have a unique variety of drinks and toppings combined with great deals. Unfortunately, I rather disliked my drink. I got a plain milk tea with soy pudding and it was very floral. I love floral tea but this tasted a little off. The pudding tastes like delicious silken tofu, combined with the varying textures of the pandan jellies and the chewy boba, this is SOO GOOD and it's all covered in sweet coconut cream. Came here for the August BOGO free banana matcha deal (the second drink doesn't have to be banana matcha). Got the banana matcha and azuki matcha. I think both were really good, but the azuki matcha is a classic combo that can't be beat. For the banana matcha you do need to really mix your drink before drinking it as otherwise you get only hints of banana and lots of matcha flavor in each sip. We went with the banana matcha and egg matcha -- definitely a steal for the price! That said, the matcha itself was very strong. The amount added made both drinks come out more bitter than balanced, which honestly made them tough to get through at first. The saving grace was that as the ice melted, the drinks mellowed out and were much easier to enjoy -- I actually finished mine the next day once it had diluted more.
