Decided to add a tea to it. I actually wanted almond pudding, but didn't see a spot with it. Saw this place had soy pudding, so figured I would try it. I am about 4 miles and a 12 min drive away. I actually haven't had dofu fa in quite some time. This was basically that in black tea with grass jelly and boba. I enjoyed the nostalgia of it. The boba was soft and chewy, The grass jelly herbally and silky. One mistake I made, the soy pudding could use some sweetness to cut into that curd flavor. The tea strength could have been stronger for me, Otherwise, I enjoyed my beverage. Good if you want a soy pudding. REVIEW #3981
I ordered the egg foam matcha. It has a very good strong matcha flavor that I find most places often lacking. I tried the foam before mixing & it's very yummy on its own. It has a nice balance between salty and sweet.
Got this and the creamy milk tea with pudding. I think this would also taste better with the pudding since it feels a little bit lacking without toppings. I got my drink pretty quickly even though it seemed like it was only one person working and several orders ahead of me.
I gave this place a try because they have a unique variety of drinks and toppings combined with great deals. Unfortunately, I rather disliked my drink. I got a plain milk tea with soy pudding and it was very floral. I love floral tea but this tasted a little off. I do have friends that appreciate their other drinks so i'll give this place another try! Parking was easy. It's located in Paloma plaza.
Came here to try the soy pudding combination. We ordered it unsweetened and it was still semi sweet. It was delicious and had so many toppings in it. I like the texture of the soy pudding smooth and not chewy. The service was quick and it was a nice setting to have a chat with friends. I would return and recommend.

Wait Time: 10-15 min for 2 drinks since they were running their BOGO promo and had a lot of people ordering Items Order: 10/10 Banana Matcha $8.5 - My favorite Bana matcha by far in the bar area. Their banana is super natural, adds intense creaminess, and banana flavor is well balanced with the matcha. 8/10 Egg Coffee $8.5 - Egg cream is solid, semi sweet, and adds creaminess to the viet coffee base that was strong and authentic. Overall a good drink. 7/10 Tamago Matcha $8.5 - there was nothing special about this. would pass 7/10 Milk Tea + Egg Pudding $6.5 + $1 - same as the above. not sure why people hype this drink up on their other reviews Drinks overall were 4/5 stars but deducting due to: Service - went for their BOGO promo x3. 1st and 2nd times I mixed and matched drinks. The 3rd time I also mixed drink orders and the cashier took my order as normal but when the order came out wrong (they made 2 matcha drinks) manager told me their policy has always been BOGO on the same drink only. Refused to do mixed BOGO even though cashier took my mixed drink order and did not mention this policy until I already waited the 15min for the wrong drinks.

The tofu itself was surprisingly a little salty, which threw me off, and it wasn't cold enough for the amount of ground ice they give you, so the balance felt off. The matcha was not good. Bitter, astringent, and tasted like very low-quality powder. Definitely not for matcha lovers. If you're ordering, I'd point people to #1. It's labeled milk tea, but it's really more of a milk-flavored drink with soft tofu than an actual milk tea. Still the safest choice. The #8 combo had too much going on, lacked texture, and landed in an awkward middle ground where it wasn't quite a dessert and not really a drink either.

Soyful delivers on authentic chè and creamy milk teas that hit the spot. - Soy Pudding Combination -- served with brown sugar syrup and coconut milk, topped with pandan jelly, boba, red bean, sago, basil seeds, grass jelly, and Japanese pudding, plus a layer of shaved ice. This is their #2 drink and it's packed with toppings. A classic Vietnamese dessert that's both refreshing and nostalgic. I loved the texture contrast, especially the jellies and shaved ice - Creamy Milk Tea -- their #1 drink. Thick, smooth, and super creamy. Personally, it was a bit too sweet without customizations, so I'd go less sweet next time and definitely recommend adding pudding for an even richer sip There are a few tables and seats inside, and the service was fast and efficient. Ambience is open but can get busy during rush times and when they're doing deals. The plaza gets pretty busy since it's home to a bunch of popular Vietnamese spots. Soyful has also hopped on the matcha wave and started offering banana matcha drinks. I've seen them doing BOGO deals recently too. Looking forward to coming back to try more!
Drink: 3.5/5 Got their new specials at 50% sweetness but it was still wayyyy too sweet. Tasted like a 100% to me. But I love the pandan jelly texture and the combo. I think I would like their matcha series more. Will try that next time. Service: 5/5 Very friendly and polite staff. I'm giving an overall 4* because of that. Ambiance: very tidy and have some tables for people to hang out.
Gotta love Soyful! Ordered the #5 Combo 75% sweet which is soy pudding with pandan jelly noodles and boba. This tastes like taho/dau hu nuoc duong minus the ginger and it's not warm. The pudding tastes like delicious silken tofu, combined with the varying textures of the pandan jellies and the chewy boba, this is SOO GOOD and it's all covered in sweet coconut cream. Absolutely recommend and it's even good the next day if you don't finish it.

The shop itself is always clean, bright, and bustling with customers. The staff are friendly and efficient, even during rush hours. I've tried a few of their drinks, but my go-to favorite has to be the #5 Pandan Boba. It's the perfect balance of flavor. It is not too sweet, just right. It comes with soy pudding, brown sugar, coconut milk, pandan jelly, and boba. Every sip is creamy, refreshing, and perfectly satisfying. Definitely a must-try if you stop by!

Soyful Desserts looked promising, but unfortunately the experience fell flat. The prices were already on the high side, and to make matters worse, I was overcharged. When you're paying premium prices, you expect quality to match, but the desserts were underwhelming and not worth the cost. The pandan waffle was especially disappointing--it was undercooked, doughy, and lacked the texture you'd expect from a fresh waffle. Between the overcharging, poor quality, and underwhelming desserts, this place was a miss for me. There are plenty of better dessert spots in San Jose that offer better value and better flavors. I wouldn't recommend it. read more

Been my go-to for banana matcha the past couple of months! Everything i've tried here is really tasty. I love how they've been having different drink bogo deals that you can mix and match, they keep me coming back! The banana matcha is great, they use real bananas and the matcha is to my liking, and has been super consistent with flavor. It has the perfect amount of sweetness, and it comes in one size. The egg cloud matcha is really good too, the top reminds me of cake batter! Staff have been kind, and drinks come out within 5 or so minutes on a regular day. To note: - There is seating inside - Parking can be tough on weekends, as the plaza is pretty popular! read more
Came here for the August BOGO free banana matcha deal (the second drink doesn't have to be banana matcha). Got the banana matcha and azuki matcha. I think both were really good, but the azuki matcha is a classic combo that can't be beat. For the banana matcha you do need to really mix your drink before drinking it as otherwise you get only hints of banana and lots of matcha flavor in each sip. The azuki matcha is a wonderful blend of flavors from the get go. Service was pretty quick, even though they're pretty busy with the August BOGO deal! It's a bit far out of the way for me, but definitely would stop by again if in the area read more

It's pretty good! I came for the Bogo banana matcha and it was actually solid. The matcha is nice green and there was a good balance of matcha in the drink. I would say though it would be nice to be able to adjust the sweetness and it was a bit in the pricer side. It was definitely worth with the bogo. Service was good and fast for surprising how crowded it was and there is no self service kiosk. read more
Came for the BOGO deal in September and tried the Egg Cloud Matcha and Banana Matcha. Both were good as drinks, but if you're looking for strong matcha flavor, it's pretty light. The Banana Matcha tasted more like Korean banana milk than matcha, while the Egg Cloud had a better matcha profile but the egg foam reminded me of pancake batter. Overall, fun spot for a sweet treat drink. Staff were kind and the menu has a lot of other Vietnamese desserts I'd come back to try. read more
One of the best banana matcha in the bay. The store is located in a very busy plaza, so it might be hard to find parking sometimes. The decorations are simple and clean, nothing too crazy. The server was nice and friendly, she helped us with the promotion that they had at the time too. Now on to the best part, their drinks. The banana matcha was so strong in flavor and smooth with the texture. The banana tasted real and fresh, and the texture was so smooth and creamy. However, the banana flavor wasn't overpowering the matcha at all. You can feel and taste the matcha as you drink. The perfect balance of sweetness, texture, and flavors. Every time I visit San Jose, I treat myself to Soyful Dessert. I usually go to the Story Road location, but this time I stopped by for their buy one get one matcha deal and I'm really glad I did. My order came out surprisingly fast, especially since it was pretty busy. I LOVED the banana matcha and my fiancée enjoyed his egg matcha too! The only thing I wish is that their coffee menu was easier to see inside. I probably would have ordered something else too if it had been more visible. Still, it's always a treat when I'm in town and I'll definitely be back! read more
Simple no thrill boba shop. Drinks all all yummy and creamy. My favorite is the coffee with extra sea salt and the creamy sago drink. You can't go wrong at this place. Oh I forgot, I also love the soy drink with sago. It reminds me of the desert I get in Taiwan. read more
BOGO Banana Matcha lattes till the end of August! Server told us we can order one banana matcha the and 2nd one can be any flavor. We got banana matcha and the egg cloud matcha. Additionally, got the creamy milk tea and panda waffle. Banana matcha was pretty good. Their banana cream tasted similar to a banana that has gone too ripe. The matcha tastes is on the bitter side. The egg cloud had a nice eggy flavor and mixed well with the drink. Creamy milk tea is indeed creamy. Has an interesting taste I've had somewhere else before but can't recall. Pandan waffle has mochi like filling. Slight crisp on the edges. Would come back for the creamy milk tea. Matcha is worth a try especially with the BOGO deal but multiple stores in this plaza offer matcha lattes. Super congested plaza on peak times and parking can be hard. Has limited tables and chairs inside. Considering the name of this place with a soybean thought they would offer soymilk here. read more

Cute clean cafe! Their banana matcha was pretty sweet-- we enjoyed the rich matcha flavor. Banana flavor wasn't overpowering! Texture of the drink was thicker than expected. Overall decent matcha and when we came they had a BOGO happening which was a plus! read more

I ordered a Cheese Cloud match costed me $9.00 not including delivery and it wasn't even filled up like it should be specially for the price I paid. Maybe cause I didn't order personally they thought I wouldn't notice. read more

Haven't been to soyful in a while so had to stop by after eating lunch in the area with my friends. We all ordered the creamy milk tea ($7). I got 50% sweetness and still thought it was too sweet. It did taste like melted vanilla ice cream though. The first few sips were good but I got "tired" of it after a while. Overall decent, but I would prob go for their pudding desserts the next time. read more
I loooove the creamy milk tea!!! I got 75% sweetness and it was the perfect amount for me. It's still sweet but that sweetness brings out the flavor and depth of the drink without being too painfully sweet. The worker was nice though I wish she explained the BOGO before we ordered as she heard us talking about it but it's fine because I preferred the creamy milk tea over a brown sugar drink. It's chill inside as well, would've stayed to chat with my friends if we didn't have plans after getting our drinks. read more
Soyful Desserts is located in Paloma Plaza. This plaza's parking is crazy during peak hours. They used to offer inside seating pre-covid, now, they do not, so it's a takeout place only. Ngoc was super friendly, polite, and helpful. I am not sure if she was an owner. Though, she said this place was connected to the other Soyful Desserts in the Viet Town on Story Road. Creamy Milk Tea and added soy pudding. I got it 50% sweet and that was really good. The soy pudding was not sweetened at all but added a texture to the creamy milk tea. The creamy milk tea is pretty sweet but delicious! It is pretty expensive at $7 for just the tea and the add ons are even pricier ($3 for pudding). Came in on a weekend afternoon and there was no line, so the drinks were made quickly. The store itself is a pretty small space. read more

Still my go to boba and milk tea spot after all these years! Everything is always consistent, every time I get a drink. I always go for the Creamy Milk Tea, with egg pudding or soy pudding. I don't drive down there often anymore, but I get it whenever I can! At my last visit, I noticed they're offering matcha now! I got their Banana Matcha as well for the next day, and the matcha is definitely high quality. Everything is affordable and love supporting a local favorite. They also have a solid selection of Vietnamese desserts if you are in the mood for something else. Service is quick and efficent. I wish they would offer seating and games like other boba shops, I would bring my friends down here more often to hangout. read more

They ran out of pandan by the afternoon, which was a bummer.. otherwise, I ordered the red bean and it was amazing! I ordered 75% but could def get it less sweeter next time. Highly recommend! Idk until when their promotion will last, but they had a bogo event. Lots of tables to sit at and hang out with your friends! :) read more
Came by for some dessert on the way home and stop by here. They had a buy one get one deal so we were able to both pick our own soy desserts. There wasn't much of a line so it was pretty quick but when we got our order, we noticed that one of ours was missing Boba. After we asked about this, they were able to fix it pretty quickly and we were on our way. Once we got in the car, though we noticed that there wasn't much ice, which I guess is the preference of some people, but it was room temp so yeah.. I tasted good but I think it would've been better with ice. read more
Soyful has been serving high quality drinks for years and I feel like somehow they just keep getting better! Their creamy milk tea with japanese pudding is a sugar lover's dream and is just oh so silky. I tried their banana matcha recently and it was perfection!!! It's sweeter than other matcha spots which I prefer, plus their banana flavor is exquisite and not artificial tasting either. Service is usually pretty quick and friendly too! read more

How long is the Bogo for the banana matcha? Tried calling many times but no one answers.
I saw on their Instagram that it is the whole month of August. But hopefully they will extend it.
Why is there no phone number?
Are they opened during the new SIP lockdown in Dec 2020? What are their new hours?
They are now reopened, but only until 8 PM every day! There is also no seating inside.
Is the milk tea made with soy milk?
Do they still serve the soy pudding with panda boba?
I don't think they do. But you can ask them if you do go there.
