The Teas: They're absolutely unparalleled & delicious! They have *the* best milk tea. (Black tea + milk). The Ambiance: They have remodeled since they first opened. To be honest, the remodel is not good. It used to look very classy & now it looks kind of cheap & 'industrial'. The remodel just does not fit and the plants are not well maintained. The Service: It took 30mins to get our 2 teas. That's crazy. Also, they don't come in early to prepare boba. Instead, they open & then tell you that boba won't be ready for another hour. Does the donut shop open & tell you to wait an hour for them to bake? No, the donuts are ready for purchase when the donut shop opens because the bakers come in early enough to bake them in time for the shop to open. The same principle applies here. This is a boba shop. Boba should be ready when they open. An employee should come in earlier, before the shop opens, to make the boba in time for the shop to open. I'll always say yes to boba. When I heard about the banana matcha, you know I was down. The banana matcha is really good, with the perfect balance of banana and matcha flavors. Plus, at most places, the matcha settles at the bottom and you can taste the powder, but here, the matcha powder is definitely dissolved, which I enjoy because nobody wants a matcha drink that tastes like powder. They also had other new hojicha drinks. They are good, but I wasn't a fan. If you love earthy matchas, you'll love these new drinks. They are very earthy and strong, but I had the hojicha with coffee, so I didn't enjoy it as much. The inside is breathtaking. It's got good vibes and a very aesthetic look. I love the walls. I was a bit confused at the kiosk because you are only able to add one topping and if you want more than one, you would have to order at the register with a worker. One of the workers kindly explained this to me as I added a little note to my drink wanting an additional topping and that I'd pay at the register upon review of the note. What I didn't know was that the note appears on all drinks ordered, which made it confusing [for them] so I appreciated the explanation for next time :) Drinks are good - I ordered the matcha cloud and the flavor was interesting. This local tea shop is a hidden gem, offers many tea, coffee and snack options, and is very nice and cozy inside and is the perfect place to hang out. The fresh, bright, and delicious Bomb Lemon Honey tea is still my favorite, but the creamy, nutty Okinawa Tea is always a solid option as well. They have something for everyone here, so you can't go wrong. They have a few snack options here also that I always see people order and the pandan waffle smell always gets me so hungry! I know the tea base I ordered ran out and needed to be refilled, but would like if I was asked if I want to switch the tea base, since someone else with similar order but a different tea base got it before me. I would say by far, this is the best Takoyaki I've had compared to other boba places. It always so fresh and so good. It does take a while to come out, which is understandable! Visited again on a Sundar afternoon and the shop was empty. I heard that they had new drinks on the menu so I ordered a Roasted Nutcracker (Hojicha latte with pistachio cream top). I tasted the cream top and it tasted like pistachio and was slightly sweet and slightly salty. It tasted so good on its own but combined with the Hojicha latte, it definitely elevated the drink. The Hojicha had a roasted flavor and isn't watered down like some boba shops would make it. I'm excited to try the other new drinks, especially the coconut water matcha cloud. read more

It's so pretty in here! It's small, but they did a great job with the space.. (it's been about 10 years since I last visited). Ordered a roasted oolong with coffee jelly and a popcorn chicken ($17 without tip) They're both good. I really liked my tea. The chicken portion is on the smaller side... and there's only flavor on top.. wish there was those places that put the spices outside so you can season it yourself. I tried to give this shop the benefit of the doubt since I have been a customer of theirs for years. However, service has been terrible lately. I first let it slide when one of the ladies was giving me attitude because I asked why she couldnt make drinks at 12pm. I let it slide because I like their boba and pandan waffles, and they mustve opened the shop late and didnt prep fast enough. I understand since things happen and went along with my day. The final straw was when they completely ignored me and acted like I was stupid when they're the ones who did my order wrong. This happened a different day. I just wanted to relax and get boba after work, but instead I was bombarded with rudeness. I paid for extra toppings and they didn't even add it at all!!! I went back to the shop to ask the first guy, and he gave me attitude. The second guy he ignored me! This is ridiculous. Pop up needs to train their employees on etiquette. I finally got "help" when a lady came by and grabbed my drink from me. I was shocked when she just poured half my drink out and barely filled it with boba. Never supporting this business again. Do better pop up. Do better. If you want customers and to keep your shop afloat, train your employees better, because I was being very kind to them from the start and said thank you. I didn't argue with them, yet they treated me badly. I had nothing against this store until now because I'm hurt as a loyal customer. Even when I asked if my drink was mine, they ignored me, so I just grabbed it because I knew my order and no one else ordered the same as me. They didnt even call out for my name or order number. I had a pretty good experience here previously and the first time I came to this spot was probably back in 2016. Unfortunately, some things only get worse with time and this spot is a prime example. I got the taro milk tea as I wasn't looking to have caffeine late at night, which already seemed pricey on the ordering kiosk. I'm so not a fan of the implementation of kiosks at boba shops because I do prefer having the human interaction, and those kiosks oftentimes charge a convenience fee which the one here definitely did. I really hate bringing dollar amounts into my reviews but I can't help but feel that it's significant here. I ended up paying $6.95 for a taro milk tea made from taro powder without any additional toppings and with no taro chunks. Usually I'd just tell you if a place is value for money or not so much, but at almost $7 for just milk with powder I couldn't recommend this place less. I've gotten real taro paste with real taro chunks and on some occasions a topping too for that price, so I definitely left feeling scammed. Their cups used to have really cute and pretty designs on them but the one I got on this visit didn't. The ambiance inside is still cute, thoughtfully decorated, but the hanging menu doesn't depict prices and given what I got for the price I paid, well, you can either see for yourself or take my advice. read more

I really enjoyed this boba spot! The boba was so good and definitely fulfilled my expectations. I loved how many options they offer -- from coffee and matcha to slushies and shaved ice cream. There's so much to choose from, which makes it a great place for different cravings. The food, however, was a bit disappointing. I tried the garlic fries and a sandwich, but everything was cold. I was really looking forward to hot, delicious garlic fries, so that was a letdown, and the sandwich didn't stand out either. That said, I absolutely fell in love with the place itself. It's aesthetically pleasing, clean, and calm -- perfect for hanging out or getting some work done. The decor is beautiful and totally my vibe. I especially appreciated the real plants; they really elevate the space and make it feel cozy and welcoming. Overall, I'd give this place a 4 out of 5. Super disappointed in this business. I live nearby and have been coming here for about a year now. I've noticed they have become super super stingy and cheap. I asked for a tea with half Boba half another topping portion totaling one full portion of topping ( half and half). They were trying to charge me for two toppings! Even though I was only doing half-and-half. I've never seen another Boba place do this and I even used to work at a Boba place. I've never seen this before! They literally would rather lose my business than save me $0.20 or whatever it was for the extra topping. They don't care about keeping the customer happy. They are cheap. Today I had an awful experience here, I went to the store happy to try different boba. I bought some for myself and my girlfriend, I always made sure to tip. When it came to picking up the orders, I over heard the lady at the counter asking everyone if they want a bag and being friendly. But when it came to me she pushed the boba forward and said nothing. It's great to see how pop up has grown into a staple part of the South San Jose community. Part of the branham plaza so parking isn't too difficult. The ambience has been so improved to be aesthetic and instagrammable. Lovely decor with floral and somewhat cottage core. Since I arrived during their first hour, the honey boba was still cooking for another 30 minutes. Yet, I was the first customer and my order was taken care of by their only worker available. Turnaround time was about 8-10 minutes completed. I ordered 3 drinks: Strawberry Milk Tea, Mango Green Tea, and Peach Green Tea. My family was happy with the drinks since they were refreshing, semi sweet, and to their liking. Definitely a go to spot in South Bay for Boba! read more

I'd leave 0/5 stars if possible. I'm not a regular at this boba shop, but I've visited several times--even before the recent remodel. Today, I stopped by shortly before closing to order an avocado smoothie. While waiting, I took a seat and noticed someone who appeared to be an employee come out from the back. She was dressed very casually, wearing legging shorts, a loose t-shirt, with messy hair and headphones on. She began preparing a drink, which I initially assumed was for herself, but I realized it was my order when she added milk, sweetener, and avocado. My partner noticed that some milk had spilled onto her hand during the process. What shocked me most was when she scooped a bit of the drink onto her hand and tasted it before sealing the cup. That was extremely unprofessional and unsanitary. I wouldn't expect anyone to lick their hand or taste a customer's drink before serving it. When I finally tried the drink, the boba was hard and unpleasant to chew, which only made the experience worse. I couldn't enjoy my order--I only took one sip before deciding to stop. Unfortunately, this visit completely changed my view of the shop, and I truly hope they improve their sanitation and professionalism moving forward read more
