I got a double bacon cheeseburger with a side of home fries. I had them put an egg over easy on top of my burger. The food was cooked perfect. It's was so good. Sunday after noon is the perfect time to come. Service was wonderful. Didn't have to wait too long. They always come back to check on you see if you need anything. The restaurant is clean. Good place to come if you want something other than fast food. Something that taste great and will get your belly full at a decent price. Ohh the burger was well seasoned. Having been a regular patron before Covid, whatever happened in the last year had really impacted this establishment. New waitress struggled and grill cook needs serious training. For 4 sandwiches and fries and one steak that was ran through a warm room, our total of $90 was a shock. It didn't add up right. The amount of fries included was underwhelming, not as it was in the past. Also, they have to have a roach problem as I am highly allergic and my calf was left with a welt and rash from just touching the bench we were seated on. I have to say, we won't be back. It's much easier to find another dinner of quality for the price we paid without the cleanliness and lack of care for the food we encountered. I'd say this place definitely deserves the three stars. I went on Friday morning. Kinda weird location being attached to another store. The waitress was nice. She seemed to be sick, so I'm glad she didn't hang out too much. And I didn't get sick afterwards, so all was well there. She was also pretty helpful with the questions I had, so good on her. I got a single biscuit and gravy and then an egg, over medium, and hashbrowns with green peppers and jalapeño. The egg was cooked exactly as I asked, so that's always a bonus. I hate runny yolk. It wasn't made with any salt, pepper, butter... nothing. In fact, besides the peppers, the entire meal was extremely bland. The gravy had that 'fresh out of the can' feel. Gravy isn't difficult to make. Why not make REAL gravy?!? This is Kentucky. Aren't you guys southern enough to be known for biscuits and gravy? The place was clean, well lit. Honestly, it looked like a Waffle House someone bought to turn into a not-Waffle House. Lots of old people. One family with a kid they refused to parent. The price was adequate. The menu has expanded and is updated. The sandwich Platter with the Grilled Chicken Melt was great with fries,hash-browns and baked beans if more than enough the fill the hungriest customer. Finish it off with some Strawberry Short Cake, and you will be full all day. The service was fast and efficient. gives you the feel of the 1950-60s dinner atmosphere and the noise was minimum. Travelled out of town for a wedding and this place was close to the hotel. Neither myself or my fiancé had heard of this place before. In our area we have the Waffle house. We expected this place to be similar to that. We were right, but this place is better! The menu has more options and the food was better. The staff were friendly too. Little disappointed I guess it's what cook you get . Order cheesy eggs and salsa on the side waitress brought me marinara sause sausage was over cooked. Got new eggs no cheese. I normally really enjoy Waffle King, but today was a little off. Odd smell when we walked in quickly dispersed. The food was just kinda meh. I normally enjoy the #1 Royal combo meal. Lets me get lots of food for not a lot of price, little comfort food with options toast or biscuits; Bacon Sausage or Ham, etc. Today the eggs were over cooked, the gravy tasted like it had sat way too long and just ick. Waited at least 10 minutes, no menu or anything, and 1 coffee was brought back with sweet and lo and then acted as if it were our fault.
