Waiter checked on everyone around us except us. Wasn't busy, 3:30 on a Monday afternoon but yet every time she went to check on the tables she checked everyone except ours kinda pissed me off. This is a relatively new and some what "high end" restaurant in Somerset. My mom and I went there for lunch, she was not feeling well and the staff was very accommodating. I had a cheeseburger and it was cooked correctly and fries were good. Momma had chicken fingers that were very tasty. Salad was fresh and the bread was good. The first two times I was here the food and service was great steaks were a perfect med rare, came back on 4/26/24 for my sisters birthday this time the service was lackluster I don't know why our plates came out late but the steaks were cold although it was med rare but the apps were hot. Went here a few weeks after it opened, they put us in the back corner underneath the air conditioner and nearly froze to death. It was lunchtime, but we asked for a dinner menu and they gave it to us. When the waitress arrived we started to order and were chewed out by the waitress because we had dinner menus. I asked, are we not supposed to have dinner menus, and can we not order from them. She replied oh yes, but you're not supposed to have them, they should follow procedures at reception and not give them out. We had lunch at the Somerset Longhorn. The house was very clean and the people we interacted with were very cordial and kind. Our waitress Madi M was very nice and helped us with recommendations. She was did a wonderful job waiting on us. She kept checking with us to see if we need anything else and kept our glasses full of fluid. She took some time to talk with us and we had a good exchange. We did not have to wait long to be seated or to get our order. The salad we had was really good along with the French Onion soup and Potato soup. Our salad had seasoned steak with blue cheese and it was very good. The loaf of bread was wonderful with this meal. The manager stopped by to say hello and was concerned with our visit and food. She was very nice and we had NO complaints. Everything was really good from the time we entered until we left. We will definitely return here and tell others about our experience and the meals we had. Good Service and Good Food. The inside of the restaurant was clean and had a warm atmosphere. First time to this new place. The place was clean and overall very welcoming. They have done a excellent job with the decor and lighting in the place. Being a former Ruby Tuesday's the thing that I missed the most was the salad bar.. We started off with Spinach Artichoke Dip for an appetizer. It arrive quickly and was hot!, Not in the spicy sense but in temp, Which made it easy to dip out the house chips. My wife had the Flo's Filet, 9 oz, salad and loaded baked potatoes. I have the Fire Grilled 18 oz T-Bone, with loaded baked potato and salad as well. The vegetables and lettuce in-the salad was fresh and crisp. The baked potato was evenly cooked with a slight char on the skin with the outside being rolled in salt. Over all we left stuff and did not even have dessert. Asked for a MEDIUM RARE sirloin steak, pictures is what I received. A small ball of raw steak, it was literally cold to the touch in the middle. Sent it back just for it to look like it was barely cooked again. ZERO TASTE, LUCKILY someone left a bottle of sauce at our table so I could get some sort of flavor out of it. Unfortunately I could not report this to our server until we were ready to leave, as she completely ignored us from the time she set the plates on the table until she came to leave the check. Since the cost of nearly everything has risen significantly in the last year dining out has become a bit of a luxury especially when at a steakhouse That is why first impressions are so important to ensure future success. When we entered the floor in lobby was unclean but we were seated within about 7-8 minutes and a waitress arrived shortly thereafter. The table was dirty which she addressed and she kept drinks and bread coming and was polite. Pricing: When compared to the nearest steakhouse they charged about $5.00 more per plate for smaller portions and offered only 1 side per meal. 2/4 members of our party felt that the steaks were extremely small but well cooked. Everything else was very salty. My overall impression is that they had spent lots of money on branding which lures you in but won't ensure return customers. In terms of food; their competitors at TR have cooked steaks that are more budget friendly and more closely resemble pre cooked weight/size. The bill at TR is about 25.00 less for a family of 4 than Longhorn and It just appears to be much more expensive for less food. read more

I was part of a party of 6 to celebrate my mother in law's birthday. We arrived and checked with the hostess. We were told the wait would be 25-30 minutes. No problem. We left our phone number and proceeded to wait in the area between the doors. We enjoyed good conversation between ourselves and noticed several people being seated before us. We checked with the young teenagers who appeared to be lost maybe this was their first job? They advised that we were next. Upon checking our cell phone, it appeared that we were next followed by a party of 8 and several other smaller parties. At the 1 hour mark the party of 8 was seated and disappeared off the list. We were once again told that we were next. After a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes, we called Texas Roadhouse and they advised that they had a 0-10 minutes wait. We told the hostess that we were leaving and that we were going to Texas Roadhouse. They said, ok and dismissed us. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager asked how they could help. I told her of our decision and she said, "ok' and did not say anything else...no apologies or anything else was said. We went to Texas Roadhouse and had a great celebration for my mother in law. We made reservations for a party of 8 and were told 45 min to 1 hr at the LH in Somerset. We arrived at the 45 minute mark. We waited for a table for approximately 40 additional minutes. The staff stated they would have to seat us at 2 separate tables next to each other but we would have the same server. Our server was extremely nice. Salad and appetizers were prompt and good quality. Half of our group received their food on time even though one meal was extremely undercooked. The other half of our group received their food approximately 30 minutes later. The server stated the manager said he couldn't serve all of our food at the same time since we were sitting at 2 separate tables???? I asked for the food to be placed on 1 bill. The server came back with 2 separate bills again stating the manager would not let him combine the bills because we were at separate tables. First time there. I probably wont go back. read more
