The dentist and staff were nice. However, after paying for the deep cleaning my teeth don't seem clean at all based on other perio cleanings I've received in the past. Really disappointed with that. I usually leave cleanings feeling refreshed and that just didn't happen here. The cleaning didn't take much time and at all which didn't make sense with my gum inflammation and history. Husband had a horrible experience at this place ! We pay a premium for dental insurance. Nothing is "free". This dentist refused to do the basic cleaning he was due for because she felt he needed a deeper cleaning with extra add ons that would Make him come out of pocket. Front desk clerk had the nerve to tell him he could charge it ! This was all after he verified upon confirming the appt that his insurance would Cover the cleaning. This dentist tried to take my wisdom tooth out and couldn't because my mouth is "too small" (got another opinion from a different dentist who told me my mouth wasn't) so she left me a week ago to find an oral surgeon with the root of my wisdom tooth still in my mouth and 800 mg of ibuprofen for the pain.???!!!! Called today bc of the pain and was told I would get a call back and never got one. Also definitely didn't listen to me when I told her that the drilling was hurting me and told me it was just the vibration of the tool. So I just left it alone, clutched the arms of the chair and cried as she gave me my filling. Absolutely insane experience. Be careful going here read more

I had been seeing them for 10+ years and nearly every time there is an upcharge. Went in for a BASIC CLEANING (which is NOT free but billed to insurance) and i had called to make sure of this. Then came the upcharge for "irritating and deep cleaning" so i needed to pay $185 that they said might be reimbursed after they bill the insurance. Honestly and unfortunately didn't have it after inflation, a second child, and changing jobs. The office manager told me the Dr would not do a basic cleaning and if I didn't put it on a credit card i would have to leave and come back another time. She said take off the bib and glasses and leave them on the side... I go every 6 months for a cleaning / check up and this time due to work and being out of state had been 9 months. Im floored they wouldn't even give me a basic cleaning and schedule this "deep cleaning" for when I actually had the $ to perform it. They would rather lose a long time customer. After a couple of years of only teeth cleanings and being referred out to specialists even for a root canal got sick of this place. The staff doesn't care like they did once. It's a take it or leave it attitude. The doctor is still amazing but the place is a "monitor" and froze my face after a deep cleaning. The staff was very insensitive about it. Wouldn't recommend any longer. Service here is a joke. I will not be taking my family here any more. They flat out don't care. read more

I trusted Dr. Farajnejad when I went in for a simple cleaning. It was my first time to see her and she found two "issues" that she needed to fix, even though I was not experiencing any pain or problems. After she completed the work, I began experiencing extreme sensitivity and some pain. She told me I would have to be patient with the sensitivity. But it got so bad that I called her office and her assistant said I may need an "adjustment" and to come back in. Three "adjustments" later (each of which was charged to my insurance) and months later the pain and sensitivity is just as bad as the first day. I feel like she put the potential insurance proceeds before my dental health. Lesson learned: don't blindly trust your provider to fix things that aren't broken. read more

The front office staff is unprofessional and unknowledgeable. The office manager is quite happy to argue with you, even if she is wrong on simple routine charges. I found the office manager's communication style to be argumentative, condescending, and demeaning. She could also not be bothered to stand still or stay in the front office when I was asking questions. The office staff would not review my benefits when I raised a legitimate question, and the office manager instructed me to read for myself, at least 8 times. They were wrong about the charges. Hours later, when I offered constructive critism to avoid misunderstandings in the future she continued her argument with me. Again, this was after the charges which she assured me were accurate, were not accurate. My insurance representative remarked that she had experienced an attitude and an argument from the offfice manager as well, in a separate phone call to clarify my incorrect charges. Clearly, this dental office is not invested in customer/patient retention. I am a new patient and I received abysmal communication regarding my account and had to be refunded money. I will not be returning to this office for any future services based on the office manager interaction. read more

The staff is very nice and gentle. I couldn't ask or want any other Dentists that is absolutely amazing. He explains everything he does before he touches your mouth and during the whole procedure!!! I have always been very scared of Dentist until I came here. I would have never sent and let a Dentist fill a cavity with out numbing me first, but I did with him and it was just fine no pain at all!!! UPDATE: I wrote my previous review after leaving the dentist Monday. I have a tooth abcess and was prescribed an antibiotic and pain meds. I dropped my prescriptions off at local pharmacy. When I arrived to pick up the meds I was informed that the dental office CANCELLED BOTH of the prescriptions. I am in disbelief and will be reporting this to TSBDE. read more

I had been searching for a dentist for some time, had a great experience here. Doctor was great. I'll be back in six months.

I had a first appointment and they kept calling me at work to cancel, I received about 4 calls and at work I cannot answer, they postponed for a Saturday and this was two weeks from the appointment that they canceled. So I call them to post pone and they tell me they cannot reschedule until lone month later! So I doesn't seem that they are working with customers schedule at all, I was flexible and understood however they will not work with me and my schedule. Since I missed a Saturday they won't schedule me on Saturday again mind you THEY canceled my first appointment. So I have to be flexible but they cannot be flexible with the customer?! read more

Save your money and your teeth. The office is a group of crooks. If I could would give them 0 stars. I went to this office for a lose crown and got it attached incorrectly, and instead of readjusting the doctor started grinding the crown, I left and had to come back in a week due to pain and pressure from it. Without any notice they charged my insurance and the doctor went ahead and arrogantly me that there is nothing wrong and I need to adjust to it. Then after continued problems had to see another dentist, and now replace the crown with a new one, since the original one is grinded and will not fit if re-adjusted. I called the office to refund the second visit due to problems and the office manager refused to credit the insurance and she hung up the phone, she had a very demaning attitude and disrespectful, and I didn't come across this kind of behaviour in a long time. Now all this ordeal will cost me another +2000. The doctor is very unprofessional and irresponsible. I really wish I had read the reviews before deciding to go there. Worse than having a toothache is the fact that you have to deal with this practice. On my first visit, the dentist tried to sell me an electric toothbrush(for more than what it costs at many retailers). That should have been a red flag for me but some how I continued, on every visit I was always recommended various procedures (surprisingly, none of which were covered by my insurance) it was always a doom-and-gloom scenario. Last month I got a bill from them for something I vividly remember having resisted while offered ( tooth desensitizer) I knew my insurance did not cover it and I courteously declined. As another reviewer has noted the staff keeps changing like weather, so you never deal with the same person twice. Seeking explanations for the charges is deemed rude by the staff. All I ask is that for once someone actually return my call so that I do not have to make yet another trip down there, and to correct your invoice. I should have never had to pay a deductible for my first appointment, all you did was the exam and refused to clean my teeth because I declined to pay the deductible until I spoke with my insurance company, as my previous plan did not require a deductible for a cleaning. But after I left you charged it anyway, and then refused to release my records until it was paid. So I paid the deductible after your office manager made a deal to clean my teeth on the second visit since I was charged for it and never received this service. Then at that second appointment *after the deductible was paid* you once again refused to clean my teeth until I have another service that was needed which I do not recall the name of but is listed in my paperwork. I paid UP FRONT the portion that was listed under my insurance plan for this service and was told that I would need to schedule a follow up appointment for the actual regular cleaning. When I showed up for that appointment your office was closed. No one contacted me to inform me of your mistake, and when I contacted you on the after hours emergency line to figure out why I had an appointment and your office was closed you were very rude. Of course I was upset, this was my third attempt at obtaining a service that was charged to my insurance company on the first visit! There are no excuses, and I have never once received an apology. I updated my address and phone information with you twice before this day so there was no reason to have not at least received a courtesy call since your office made a mistake...again. And actually, my insurance company were the ones that confrmed that you were billing them for services that you did not provide. I HAVE ALL OF MY RECEIPTS, and I was supposed to be paid in full yet I have continued to receive invoices. Once again when I called yesterday I was PROMISED that your office manager would contact me immediately when she returned from lunch and I did not receive a call. I recommended my husband go there when all he needed was a cleaning. It should have been short and simple but believe me it was not! He made an appointment, waited for the date (which was weeks), and went there on three separate occasions and was treated like crap every time. The first two they would not see him because they could not find our insurance so he waisted a day off from work. We have Delta Dental smh but we still tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. The third time they told him that he needed a deep cleaning which is crap because he goes to the dentist every 6 months for cleanings. When he said he just wanted a regular cleaning the dentist had an attitude and did a half ass job. Im actually starting to wonder if it is because of the color of his skin. When I went to this dentist about a year ago and my experience was ok. I think it was mostly because it was close to my house and I did not want to have to drive far. They gave my a mile long list and recommended I get a deep cleaning. I had them do one filling and the cleaning which with my insurance cost me $215. They even had the wrong codes on the claim trying to get some more money. I will never recommend this place to ANYONE ever again. I was pissed that they treated my husband like they did. read more

I bought a groupon for a teeth cleaning and x-ray because i was laid off this past year and dont have dental insurance at the moment. I have a girlfriend who is a dentist but is not currently practicing in traditional sense. Dr. Fariba Farajnejad was my dentist. I waited almost an hour for her. When she came into start my cleaning she checked my teeth over I would say a minute or so took her probe skimmed over my teeth not really getting in between teeth or cleaning them and then almost immediately started brushing polishing my teeth after about 5-10 minutes of her arrival. I spoke up and explained to her that I had come into get my teeth cleaned and that I had received teeth cleanings for over 25 years of my life and asked her if she would please take her metal instrument (I am not familiar with name) and really clean my teeth. She got defensive and told me I could leave if I wanted to.It was clear to me that this women was not genuine in what she was doing but merely trying to get people in the door to spend thousands of more dollars. which of course after she finished her great teeth cleaning she sent me to an office where they printed out all these other things I needed with a big fat number to go along with it. I was recently scheduled here to have a crown replaced. When I came in for my appointment the crown wasn't even ready yet and no one bothered tell me until I got there. When I came back the second time to have it put on it was a traumatizing experience.While drilling around the area she actually slipped and drilled a hole into the pillowy tissue underneath my tongue. That being the worse part of it, she acted strange from the beginning. She blew this powder stuff right into my face while I was lying in the chair and it choked me. I inhaled it, sat up coughing and the assistant had to get me some water. Before that her hand slipped for the first time while she was drilling to make the crown fit better. Luckily this time it wasn't in my mouth. Finally, when she was attempting to x ray towards the end it wouldn't fit right into my mouth. The assistant then told her that it was on backwards. When I told her I was in pain she first told me she barely nicked me and it when minor. Also that it had stopped bleeding. It was not minor at all and it bled the whole time. When I looked in the mirror I saw it I was a big bloody hole. Instead of tending to the wound she down played the situation and tried to convince me that it was my fault (she claims i moved my tongue) but the hole wasn't even on my tongue it was under it very close to where she was drilling.. she also told me that it would heal in 2 days. More like at least 2 weeks. I will not being coming back and I can't believe how a professional can make a mistake like then blame the patient. If it were truly my fault then why didn't she tend to it immediately instead of being dishonest and blaming me.... read more

I have 5 children and they routinely see all 5 in a row. It wont be next week but they will do it. Dr Hamada is so amazing with children. My children love him and are not afraid at all! This would make him a 4 star dentist but the reason for 5 stars is I was going to a "low cost" dentist for people with no insurance and he told me my 2 crowns were damaged and need to be replaced. 2k worth of work!! I was in so much pain and my kids go here on medicaid so I thought I would get a second opinion. I paid the 160 dollars for American Dental insurance for 14 months and made a free appointment. Dr. Hamada told me and showed me X-rays that the crowns were not damaged. 2 teeth next to them were and one needed a crown. Some total 1.6k worth of work. Being in so much pain I agreed and paid and would worry about rent and bills later. Then we started and Dr. Hamada while drilling informed me that the X-ray showed more damaged then was really there. The tooth could be salvaged with his skilled hands. No crown would be needed. The dental assistant was shocked! I had already agreed and paid for a crown why would he do a much less expensive procedure. Because Ethics is alive and well at Royalty Dental! The work ended up only costing 155 dollars instead of the 1.6k!! This man saved me and my family so much money and unnecessary medical procedures. I know if he recommends an expensive procedure, it is medically necessary. I trust him 100% read more
