I have been a patient of Dr. Miller, at Spring Creek Dentistry, since 2015! I stopped in yesterday for a gum line filling. I have had a Bridge plus two, Crowns, fillings and more. It matters not how small or large the work that is required. The staff..when I walk in, when I am working with the talented professionals who assist Dr. Miller, when I receive the explanation of costs, the procedure, and executing the payment process, I feel at home. In a Dental office, that is hard to achieve, but at SCD, it is the norm. Kindness, support, courtesy, professional work, and being treated with respect is lacking in most corners of our culture. I was very much looking forward to coming here, and my first visit as a new patient was a huge disappointment and a complete waste of time. I have never been in a more painful dental chair in my life - and that includes the emergency room at Parkland hospital. I have not had any issue or problem with the chair at ANY other dentist. As soon as the hygienist finished the x-rays and reclined the chair I was in serious pain,both back and neck. I just have an average, 52 year old bad back, too - no serious spinal condition or neck injury. I can't imagine what being in those chairs for more than a minute or two would feel like for someonewho does. I was told that all the chairs there are the same. The hygienist was nice, friendly, and the desk was as well. I never met the dentist during my new patient visit, although I was told several times she was "on her way back to meet me". Even after I explained to the hygienist what the issue with the chair was, and was told there is no solution, she then told the dentist, and the dentist never made it back to my exam room. Again, a complete waste of time, and a huge, frustrating disappointment. Especially for a first visit to a new practice I was really excited about. The irony here is that I found this practice for my wife and I, and after some research, I booked both our appointments. This was MY idea. Hers was before mine, and she couldn't stop RAVING about how great the dentist is, his care and concern, his chair-side manner was awesome, how wonderful and helpful his assistant was,how great this office is, and we were both excited about my visit the following week. I was scheduled with the other dentist, and had the opposite experience. I can't help but wish I had been scheduled with my wife's dentist, I might have had a similar experience. Instead, I was treated like an afterthought, and ignored by the dentist who couldn't see her way to come to my exam and meet me, and address my concern with the chair. So now, my wife and I, who would have been regular patients at this practice (with a lot of work to be done), are going to find another practice. Because I was scheduled with the other dentist, not the one she had. We left our previous dentist for similar experiences; feeling ignored, like out concerns weren't being heard or addressed. I was a patient at Spring Creek Dentistry for 7ish years and absolutely loved the practice. I am a single mother of 3 teens, and I work full time. I recently moved my children over from their pediatric dentist and they were pleasantly surprised that they didn't hate going in for a cleaning. Unfortunately I was asked to find other dental care for my family this morning! And here is why.... Due to weather, the practice closed on the day I was scheduled to have some dental work done. I re-scheduled the visit, but was running late - so I called on the way and was informed that the grace period for an appointment is 10 minutes, and I would be charged a fee to reschedule. I apologized, and was willing to pay - as it technically was my fault. I was told that I needed to speak to the office manager....... Over the summer the kids were scheduled for their 2nd cleaning at Spring Creek. They were with their father that week, and he did not get them to their appointment. I rescheduled taking cancellation appointments that came available - which allowed no wiggle room for scheduling conflicts. My son is autistic and requires some preparation for going to the dentist, and one of my daughters had an important exam during the window I scheduled for her. I called to switch them to accommodate the situation, which was going to work out if I could expedite the mental state of my son.... Needless to say, kid swapping for appointment times, even when made on a cancellation of another patient is $100. I paid $200 and got the kids taken care of But me.... I'm now not the patient they are looking to have. I guess I understand in a business way, but I it stings more because I thought they cared about me as a person. I never would have imagined that I'd have to find a new dentist. read more

My children and I were patients at this practice before Dr. Oakley entered and became one of the primary dentists. They have since moved from their original location and the previous dentists have left, leaving Dr. Oakley as our dentist and the practice in a beautiful, free-standing facility. Praise the Lord! Dr. Oakley and his staff are THE BEST. No joke, no kidding, and we've all had a bunch of stuff done, from cleanings to fillings to crowns to referrals to specialists for more extensive work. Excellent. Superb treatment of patients, reminders about appointments, beautiful and comfortable facilities and they work out everything to the max with your insurance. Times that I've had extensive work done there, I have always (and I mean every single time) received a follow-up call from Dr. Oakley that evening asking how I was doing. This is a guy that cares not only about your teeth, but about YOU. Put it this way, my daughter makes her appointments here when she comes to visit us twice a year -- and she lives in California. She says that in all the cities she's lived in, there's NO ONE like Dr. Oakley. And a shout-out to Mandy and Jo -- they are part of his office staff that make this all work -- absolutely the best around! You go, girls! read more

Dr. Oakley is an extraordinary dentist and person I had a sensitive tooth and imagined I'd have to deal with that sensitive for the rest of my life. The Spring Creek Dental Group are liars and thieves. My wife went there because of a bad tooth that needed an implant. They told my wife she would pay $4300. My wife asked if there was any possibility it would cost more, and they adamantly said no. So, they talked her into doing the first $340 of work on the spot. I called my insurance company to determine what they would actually pay. Spring Creek Dental charged more then double what other dentists charge and grossly overestimated what the insurance company would pay. They even estimated that the insurance company would pay for part of the actual implant which is not true. They wanted $10800 for the whole process. After discounts from the insurance company, they would charge around $6000, and we would only pay $4300. According to Cigna, we would pay over $5300 with them, not $4300. We called several other dentists who said the total procedure without insurance would only be $5000. In the end we paid $4100. The dentist we used was able to tell us on the phone that Cigna would not pay for the implant. Why did Spring Creek Dental not know that? Either they are totally incompetent, or they are liars and thieves. I doubt it is incompetence. read more

Just changed to this dentist office after 4 years of being afraid to go to the dentist and I have to tell you that from the staff to the dentist himself, everyone was amazing! No one enjoys getting a tooth filled but I was completely comfortable, at ease (the dental assistant was phenomenal), and the warm massaging dental chair was amazing! . And I had a warm blanket over me the whole time. Dr. Pham was very knowledgeable, professional, and had a great sense of humor and "bedside" manner. He kept me calm and checked on me through the whole process. To top it off, they gave me a welcome gift! Went back 2 weeks later for my first cleaning in 5 years and it was best cleaning I've had in my life! Very professional staff through and through. read more

By far the best dentist office I've been to in years! Dr. Miller is kind, caring, and thorough. A patients first time coming to the dentist can be horrifying, however Spring Creek makes you feel good and comfy and not afraid. They have a Menu called the "Comfort Menu" which includes, a chair massage, lip balm, sunglasses, blanket, soda, etc. Free wifi always makes anyone feel good! I've seen other Dentist here at this location and ALL of them greet you with a smile and are so welcoming and that makes any dentist experience Great! After having my temp crown fall out after 2 days and my temp bridge after only 26 hours, I find they have no emergency care for situations like this. Both times it happened after they were just closed on a Thursday and I had to wait until the following Monday and Tuesday to even get an appointment scheduled. They must need better glue! You would think they would have something set up to take care of emergencies. Waiting 4 days was not easy, but if someone had terrible pain it would have been impossible. Rushing out the back door to go home while I was still in the chair was rude, Dr. Miller. And the comments at the bottom of the review that pop up as I'm typing this are also just plain rude! read more

I always wondered why my bill was so high, kept receiving bills after the fact even though I paid every time we went in. They failed to mention the dentist they set us up with is OUT OF NETWORK. This guys are awful. They bring way too many people to see at one time. It's nothing but production line. They don't care about patients, or make the slightest attempt to save money. My daughter has been complaining of a sore tooth for over a year, and they keep telling her there is no problem. Took her to another dentist who immediately performed a root canal. I had a crown put on, and only afterword did they tell me I needed a root canal in the same tooth. It could have been done much easier and cheaper prior to putting on the crown. read more

This review is not about the services or quality of dental care but about the policy of a mandatory requirement to have X-Rays. I was informed at the beginning of a scheduled teeth cleaning services/care that i would be denied services if i did not concur with having X-rays on a routine teeth cleaning. I chose not to have X- Rays. Previously, I had teeth cleanings and dental services and on this scheduled visit was given the ultimatum with no reason or rationale. Assuming there is a legitimate reason for this policy then it should be published and clients/patients made aware. Moreover, why could there not be a policy where a patient signs a wavier? read more

Wow!!!! What can I say about this place? Going to the dentist is one of my biggest fears!!! I just hate it!!! I was referred by a friend to see Dr. Oakley and decided to give them a try. The receptionist was so friendly and nice and literally got me in that same day. I think I waited in the waiting area 2 to 3 minutes before being called back. The exam was thorough and they couldn't be any nicer!!! I saw Dr. Oakley that day and had to go back for a root canal that Dr. Henley did. They are both so nice and my root canal didn't even hurt!!! :) If you need a dentist in the spring area this is the place!!! I love Spring Creek! I have an appointment to see them for the second time. They aren't the cheapest in the world, but they are worth it. I don't have any dental insurance, and they offer a special for people without dental insurance to make it more affordable for us to keep up with our routine dental care. What an incredible experience from beginning to end!! I was welcomed when I walked in the door by Jessica. She really helped me with the paperwork and explained everything to me in detail. Really appreciate the time that she spent with me as this was my first visit here. A few minutes later I was greeted by the assistant who escorted me to the back. She was really great and extremely gentle during the X-Ray process. Soon after that, Dr. Oakley came in. What a fantastic dentist. Really nice guy with an amazing personality. Last time I was there was five years ago for a cleaning. I received a call from their office a few months ago saying I owed $168 from my last visit. After the lady on the phone looked up my file she said their was some confusion and I actually did not owe anything. Today I received a call from collections saying Spring Creek turned me over to collections for $168. Real professional Spring Creek! Guess it's time to replace all the furniture for the lobby.
