When I needed to replace my filters, they were the only company that identified that my original installation was incorrect. They were honest and, after reviewing the system, absolutely right. Their team is friendly, helpful, and communicative every step of the way. The plumber, Javier Rodriguez, was especially impressive--very confident, knowledgeable, and personable. He even put booties over his shoes without me having to ask, which I really appreciated. He knew exactly how to install the missing piece and took the time to troubleshoot additional issues after the installation and filter replacement, including pressurizing the tank. What stood out most was that he didn't rush--he made sure everything was working properly before leaving and walked me through the steps so I can handle the next filter replacement myself. He also offered helpful recommendations for future parts I may need. I highly recommend NexGen and Javier! My only wish is that the refill prices were a bit more economical.

It took two or three visits before the problem was fixed. Shortly afterward, the circuit board failed, leaving the house uncomfortably hot for most of the summer. NexGen told me the part was covered under warranty, but I would still have to pay approximately $500 for the technician's visit. For two months, they repeatedly said they were waiting for the circuit board, with very poor communication. Most of my updates came only through the technician, whose pricing I found extremely high. I finally contacted another HVAC company. They came out, supplied the circuit board, and completed the repair for approximately $700 total. I was advised to file a complaint with the California Contractors State License Board, and I intend to do so. I had a similar experience with NexGen's plumbing division. They quoted me $4,600 for work that another licensed company completed for $860. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend NexGen. Their delays, lack of communication, and extremely high pricing caused unnecessary stress and left my home hot for most of the summer. The new HVAC company I hired found a different issue related to my newly installed HVAC and will resolve it soon. Nexgen is overpriced and you need alway to get another cost.

He told me it wasn't necessary since they weren't leaking and that if I decide to ever replace the faucets, then that would be the time to do it. His honesty saved me money and I appreciated it. Since I'm remote, I can only agree to it to move forward. 10mins later, got a call from the tech saying, "there are good and bad news! Good news, the unit was indeed completely fine and it's working alright. The unit was slightly "UNPLUGGED" from the outlet and it works perfectly after I plugged it back in. " I appreciate that the "diagnosis" save me hundreds instead of replacing a fully working unit, but I would have thought the first free initial check should have looked at the connection in the first place.
