But...as someone that tries to eat healthy I have to say, though it was fresh, the Tabouli is a joke. $9.99 for parsley and a little tomato. Almost no onion and maybe a teaspoon of bulgar wheat. Delicious french fries, generous servings, and a very kind staff are Roy's high points. They are to thank for elevating this review from raving lunacy to a loosely composed description of what happened to me this afternoon. Maybe it's my fault for ordering a burger from a shawarma joint, but I'm hard pressed to think of an excuse for any place that serves food to allow this pathetic excuse for a "burger" to make its way in front of a customer. I had ordered from there before and got chicken shawarma, which I did not care for. Dry rice, dry chicken, bland aioli. I'm not overly fond of Mediterranean food in general, but I thought I might want to give them another try. Maybe it was an off day at Roy's Kabab when I tried it first, but I was shown otherwise this afternoon. This account has been dormant for years, but I cannot possibly allow Roy and his band of charlatans to continue to deceive the public into thinking they produce edible food. Before bracing myself to try and break the outer crust of the sandwich, I showed my colleagues in the lunch room what I was working with. Not a soul said anything other than "that does not look appetizing." Even the individual who had goaded me into ordering from here admitted that is was an ugly burger. So visually, we're not dealing with a high quality product. I've attached a few sample photos. Right off the bat I'm pretty aware of what's going on, but looks can be deceiving! Let's see how it tastes. Most of the bun was stale. The lake of mayonnaise with a whisper of ketchup made sure to fully saturate any part of the bread that wasn't wooden. The large chunks of onion between the bun and hockey puck burger were enjoying a nice swim in this lake of off-putting condiments, however they were localized to maybe one or two bites out of the whole thing (to their credit, it's a fairly large burger) and immensely overpowering when you got a bite with onion in it. The skewer they used to hold everything together (not sure how I feel about this - the patty was incredibly thin, so it certainly wasn't in danger of toppling over, but it was also extremely slick because of the mayo-lube they chose to slather all over everything) pierced a hole through the bun, and a full geyser of condiments squirted out of the top and covered the bun. All over my hands. Come on, Roy. Someone that saw the sandwich asked me if they patty itself was "vintage" because it was missing even a hint of moisture. Dry-aged is not the way I like my ground beef patties, but then again perhaps I'm to blame because I chose to get a burger from this place. Not their fault they only restock their burgers every other election cycle. Regardless, I got less than halfway through and decided that it was just not worth it. Your takeaway here should be "Don't get the burger and proceed with caution otherwise, but the staff is kind and it's reasonably priced given the portions." Unfortunately, I am a stickler for the food, and it is in this department that Roy fails to deliver. I am going to go home and take a shower. read more

One of my friends loves Lebanese food and raved about this place. I love it, too, and she recommended this place. It is located in the same plaza as TK's in Rockland. The workers are very nice. I have been about 7 times and ordered a bunch of different plates- Roy's sampler, chicken shawarma platter, beef shawarma platter, lamb/ checken/beef kabob platters, humus, veggie grape leaves, cheese souskeh, meat souskeh, spinach pie, baklava. Everything is delicious and made from scratch, including their baklava (never had baklava that wasn't frozen). The people who work there are lovely! The prices are a little on the high side but the portions are good so you should get 2-3 servings out of the platters. If you like Middle Eastern food, this spot is definitely a notch above! read more

I am hosting a large event and wanted to do something different from the usual. A friend recommended Roy's Kabab. I went there to check it out and was blown away. Roy was friendly and honest. He let me try everything I wanted to order (on the house) and made great recommendations for amounts to order. He did not push me to order more than I'll need. Our new favorite place for salads, wraps, kebabs, shawarma and falafel. We've tried them all and keep on coming back to try other things on the menu. Portions are generous and the quality is great. You can tell the care they put into the food. I really like their fattoush salad. Add a kebab protein and they'll separately package the kebab so it doesn't wilt the salad. Falafel wraps are large, shareable and delicious. The falafel is spot on, with the right spices, texture and density. The chicken and beef shawarmas wraps are tasty. You can't go wrong here. Went for lunch .... ordered the Roy's Kabab platter ... which consists of 1 lamb,1chicken and 1 Kafta kabab with salad ,rice, hummus and pita bread plus I also tried the cheese sambousek ........I enjoyed all of the kabab but I liked the lamb the best .... cooked perfectly... the cheese sambousek was fantastic ....the hummus was good ..... whatever the rice was it was absolutely fantastic.... went back to look at the menu to see if it says what type of rice it was ... didn't specify.....reasonable prices am definitely going back read more

i have had tried this restaurant for a while, however lately I observed a decline in qwality of food. The food is not consistant as before and even they gave me a dry burned baked kibby. I guess I should inspect the food before or while I pick it up. You can't warm and reheat over cooked food. My favorite take out spot! Great meal for a good value. The food is fresh and warm every time you order. My sixth time there within the last two months. Super clean and fresh food. The chicken kebab with rice and the side salad is my go to. definitely recommend trying the appetizers along with the homemade hummus and pita. The employees are super sweet and accommodating. Stumbled upon Roy's while we were looking for a quick bite to eat. We ordered the Chicken kabob platter and grape leaves. It did not disappoint. Everything was so fresh, flavorful, and super healthy. Generous portions and extremely reasonably priced, especially for the quality. I'm not sure if it was the owner who took care of us but he was so friendly. We will definitely be repeat customers. 6/2/2021 As I sit at my desk eating my Fatoush Salad that I added Hummus to, I am smiling. Everything is so fresh, and so tasty. Others in my office have been coming here since they opened, and they managed to keep it their little secret for a while, but I'm on to them now ! We have lunch from here several days a week, and there is never a disappointment. Service is always pleasant, and always accommodating, as we never leave the order as it comes, always tweaking some part of it. Best Mediterranean food in the area. Yum yummy, eat it up good!

I'm part Lebanese and consider myself a foodie. I've gotten food from Roy's Kabab about four times now and it is excellent! The salads are good size, dressing is great, veggie grape leaves very good, but my favorite is the pumpkin kibbeh balls. They are amazing! I recently had a falafel wrap for lunch and all the ingredients were fresh and flavorful; great combination with the tahini sauce and pickled vegetables. Highly recommend! read more

I am posting again about this lovely small business because Roy's was there for my family when we needed help most. A loved one had passed that afternoon. By the time we (about 15 family members) pulled ourselves together enough to realize we were famished, it was almost closing time. We had eaten pizza all week and now needed comfort food. When we called Roy's we learned the grill had been shut down for the night. We did not explain our reason for calling so late and said we would call another time. As we stared at one another with exhaustion thinking "what next", the phone rang. It was Roy's calling back on our number. "What would you like", we were nicely asked. At the time, Roy's did not know if we were ordering a sandwich or a feast. We ordered the latter and Roy's kindly accommodated our request. Our family loved and devoured the food: Shrimp, Chicken, Beef Kabobs, Greek Salads, and a pumpkin treat. More than that, once it was shared why we were ordering the food, Roy's called the next day to express condolences. Roy's will now join my family's pizza, Chinese take-out rotation. Roy's kebab is a wonderful break from the ordinary fare. We recently discovered this gem after living in Rockland for 2 years. Covid really reduced our options, and I yearned for something delicious and different. One day, on a rare outing, we spied a Roy's delivery truck and realized there was Mediterranean food just around the corner. So we decided to give it a try, just for variety. Well!!! What a delightful surprise! Fresh, hot, quickly delivered, delish food! Pumpkin kibbeh will make you keel over with "yum". The kebabs are subtly and fragrantly marinated, and the grilled to fall-off-the-stick tenderness. Other delights include beef samousek that smells as good as it tastes (think "far away spices of my love-ah" on SNL) Falafel crispy on the outside and soft inside, fresh salad, tart and savory hummus, grilled veggies, and rice that made my husband renounce his denouncement of rice. Even the pita chips (I'm sure fried up leftover pita) are sublime. Order some to scoop up the remaining hummus and sauces. You wont be disappointed.
