This was my second time bringing my vehicle to Precision Auto Body & Detail. They have always done…read moregood work, or so I thought. Overall, the quality of their service and what they guarantee is spot on, but the attention to detail is lacking, heavily. For $400 I should be getting top-notch service. I should be the VIP of your establishment for the day! And I wasn't. Honestly, it's just simple things that shouldn't be overlooked that truly matter. What does a $400 "Complete Auto Detailing" get you? PROS: Exterior - Wash, Dry, Clay Bar, Wax, Protective Sealant, Wheel cleaning, and Tire shine. Your vehicle will glisten almost to perfection in a way that is showroom quality. Interior - As they claim, "a complete shampoo of the interior including the carpets, seats and floormats." And this is where it stops. CONS: Honor the time agreement! I booked my appointment on Tuesday 3/17 for Friday 3/20 and was told to drop my vehicle off between 8 and 8:30am. So I arrived at 815a on the day of my appointment, only to find that the front office door was locked, dark and unoccupied on the inside. It's not a good business practice to tell clients to arrive or be somewhere at a certain time and you, yourself, are not there. Exterior - No attention to detail for the small things. It's easy to spray on car washing foam and then pressure wash it off. But when you overlook the wheel wells that's an issue. The area that a spray wash just doesn't get it. Don't call yourself a "detailing shop" if you're not going to take the time to look at and address the minor details. My vehicle is White, and just like a Black car, it shows the dirt along with everything else. Had you been paying attention, you would have and should have caught this. Don't be afraid to get down on your hands and knees and put some "elbow grease" scrubbing effort into thoroughly cleaning ALL the parts that needed to be cleaned. If there's paint and clearcoat, it shouldn't be overlooked. Interior - While they also clean and wipe the door panels, dashboard or door jambs, this is where they fell short with the quality of service by my standards. My interior gas cap door was not cleaned/wiped. The engine hood was not opened nor was it wiped and cleaned either. (See pictures) It's not like I was asking for a steam cleaning of the engine bay, but nonetheless, it's a door with a crease and hinges. If your claim is "we wipe the door panels and door jambs," under the hood shouldn't have been overlooked. Again, details matter. Honestly, you didn't even try and make an attempt and it shows. The sad thing about this whole process compared to other detail shops is they don't "Deliver" your car to you. They don't walk you out to your vehicle and go over the details of everything that they did and inquire about your level of satisfaction. Because if it's not right they'll fix it. Unfortunately at Precision Auto Body & Detail you just walk in, pay, get your keys back, and then off you go. On to the next one. I've been to other auto detail shops that treat you like royalty from start to finish that are equally comparable in price. Maybe I'll spend the extra $200 somewhere else going forward, that I know for certain won't overlook the simple and minor details.

He used an instrument to measure the clear coat on the hood and roof and confirmed that it was missing and would require repainting. Although I was unable to use his services for detailing the car right now, I appreciate how responsive he was to my messages and in coming to my place. He was very helpful in advising me how to protect the car and in arranging to get me a quote from a body shop to have sections of the car repainted. Juan is very meticulous and thoughtful and it's a huge plus that he provides his services at the customer's premises.

But after a thorough exterior detail, clay bar treatment, polish, and headlight restoration, it looked *amazing*. I honestly didn't expect such a dramatic transformation given the condition, but he brought out a deep shine and really revived the car's look. He also did a headlight restoration on one side of another vehicle for me, and again, great attention to detail and quality work. Super professional, punctual, and clearly takes pride in what he does. Highly recommend if you want someone who genuinely cares about their craft and delivers top-notch results!

I explained that I desired a hand car wash and interior detailing. We engaged in a comprehensive discussion regarding the make and model of my vehicle (Mazda CX-5) and the expected price range, which was approximately $100 for the services requested. Mr. Jamie advised, "Bring it in, and we will see what we can do for $100." Upon my arrival, I was received warmly, and we conversed on various topics, including exemplary business practices and authentic individuals. Based on the level of customer service thus far, I perceived Mr. Jamie as a sincere and genuine businessman and individual. He informed me that the service would take approximately one hour, and we had previously agreed on a fee of $100. I informed him that I was currently on a strict schedule; therefore, I patiently waited while they purportedly cleaned my vehicle, a process that extended over two hours. Subsequently, I was presented with a bill of $200. Although I was displeased, I chose not to create a scene and had to leave promptly to pick up my child from school. It is important to note that my vehicle remained dirty on the interior and exterior, and no waxing or additional services were performed. The charge of $200 was already unreasonable; however, the fact that my vehicle was still dirty was a further insult. I would not consider returning to this establishment. I contacted Mr. Jamie again, and during our telephone conversation, he stated that a detailed service typically requires three to four hours. I explained that this was inconsistent with his earlier assurances and that he should not have agreed to wash my vehicle if he lacked sufficient time and intended to charge such an excessive fee post-service. We had previously discussed a fee of $100. I insisted that I should not have been charged $200. Mr. Jamie offered that I could have my vehicle serviced at another time, possibly the following week, but this would require leaving it for an additional three hours. On Monday, February 2, 2026, I contacted Mr. Jamie to request a refund of $100, as he had acknowledged that the service did not justify a charge of $200. He assured me that the refund would be processed and that I would receive an email confirmation. Currently, my vehicle remains dusty, appearing as if it has never been washed. Consequently, not only have I been deprived of $200, but my vehicle's condition has also deteriorated. To date, I have not received the refund. He indicated that the process would take a few days. My primary disappointment lies in the fact that I engaged in a sincere and genuine conversation, only to feel deceived. It is disheartening to experience such treatment, especially from someone I believed to be honest and professional. In my view, this constitutes poor business practice.

It was a water pump issue. Quoted $$ for both low pressure and high pressure water pumps. Next day, got a call back from DAS... Only the low pressure pump needed to be replaced, service fees got dropped less than 1/2. We went ahead and requested for other preventative services to be performed as well. Price came out to be only 2/3 of what original quote was. Overall experience, we were very satisfied with the thorough service and fair pricing. Glad to have found an honest repair shop in Daly City.

She uses her car extensively for work so I…read morelooked up mechanics in the area that were opened on a Saturday, and DAS Auto came up highly rated. I gave them a call Saturday morning and spoke to La Lo. He was very helpful, pleasant, and very customer service oriented. I told him about the battery light and he asked if I could bring it in around 1pm since they were pretty booked that day. After bringing in the car, it took about 40 minutes until they were able to come up with a diagnosis for me - the alternator needed replacing. La Lo gave me a quote for the repair, and even did some research to see if he can get better pricing for the part, which he did. He saved me a few hundred dollars, which was much appreciated. He told me I would be able to credit the cost of the diagnosis ($85) towards the repair. I brought the car in for repair the following Tuesday (Monday was a holiday). My wife's car works great now, thanks to DAS Auto! From the initial call, to the in-person interaction, you could tell they care about their customers. Even hearing how they speak to other customers in their shop, they're very honest about the repair (La Lo even told one customer the cost of his repair and that more than likely they might find other things wrong if they went through with it). I highly recommend them! They'll be our go-to mechanic moving forward!
