Very little parking and the back leads into an alley way. There was a lot of guests so we were told to park in the residential area which had sketchy surroundings when walking back towards the event space. When we entered the space, it felt like an open layout house. Fairly modern design. Useful space. Two restrooms for guests. There was a small connecting area with a fridge for storage. The next room over was perfect for a small play bouncer. No kitchen area. The catering company all had to set up outside in the already limited parking lot area. The pavement was in ruin. Needs to be replaced. The AC was very cold on a 67 degree day. Two stars docked for the limited parking. inconvenience and the odd location in a commercial/residential zoned area.

I would not recommend this venue based on how my security deposit is being handled 3 weeks after…read moremy event. Immediately after my event, no damages were mentioned at all. The only communication I received was asking where an item I rented (the projector/VIBE) was placed. I told them, they found it, and that was the end of it. Shortly after, Alex (the COO) emailed me stating that my security deposit would be returned by this weekend. It still hasn't been returned. About 4 days after receiving the email from Alex , Chloe texted me asking if I had received my deposit. I told her no and sent her Alex's email confirming the refund. 2.5 weeks after my event, she suddenly claimed that damages were found after my event. This raised immediate red flags. - The venue had cleaners come in right after my event, so they would've notified her of damages just like they did after her other events. So I don't see what's so difficult about showing me the cleaners claimed that the kitchen door was locked. Obviously, it wasn't if she can't provide proof. - Chloe herself said she would come in the following day to confirm the rented equipment was where I stated. So again, why weren't these issues brought up immediately if there was truly damages done to her venue during my event. - I had already contacted her the next day asking about camera footage, and she told me the cameras do not retain footage past a short period Despite all of this, 2.5 weeks after my event, I received this message: "After your event, our cleaning team reported a few issues... 1. The kitchen door was locked and a locksmith was called 2. A crack found on the wall 3. A broken door stopper" When I asked for video footage or proof, none was provided. Instead, I was sent a screen recording of text messages between Chloe and her cleaning staff. Her cleaning staff said these issues occurred at another event the following weekend after my event. Immediately, when I said thats not the date of my event she unsends the screen recorded message between her and her cleaners.... They are now claiming that I locked the kitchen door, requiring a locksmith, yet when I asked for proof, I received no response from Chloe and Alex. As of now, I am still waiting for my deposit. This entire experience feels like an attempt to retroactively justify withholding a deposit. The lack of transparency, delayed claims, and refusal to provide evidence is extremely concerning and unprofessional. If you value clear communication, integrity, and lawful business practices, I would strongly suggest booking elsewhere

I arrived within the first half hour after opening to try and beat the heat. Even though it was still warm, there were plenty of shaded areas to stay cool along with benches that were great for relaxing. There was also a breeze so that helped. Thought about spending an hour there but glad I paid for two hours of parking because I ended up staying for 1 & 1/2 hours. One of my favorite moments were simply sitting on a bench listening to all the birds. Hopefully you can hear them on the video. I came on a really hot day, so I only saw about half of the place, but it was such a nice time by the ponds, creeks, and little lake. We spent a lot of time admiring a group of docile ducks and enjoying the shade by the water. They also have an online plant shop for those interested in gardening (with a great ongoing deal). Planning on purchasing from there and picking up so I have an excuse to stop by again. Loved my time here. Expect to enjoy yours too!

I'll start by saying that this is the second time I have hosted an event here seven years apart from each other. The first was for my eldest daughter's sweet 16 and the second one was on January 2 for my youngest daughter's quinceanera. I cannot say enough, good things about Monica, the manager of this facility. From the start, she was so helpful, kind, and responsive. She made my entire process stress-free and even worked with me to ensure that I had more than sufficient time to set up. The venue staff the day of my event were wonderful! A shout out to the event captain Marisol for being amazing! My guests not only complimented the service they complimented how good the food was as well. Although it ended up raining the day of my daughter's event and we weren't able to use the patio area which we originally planned for, we were able to set up everything inside and it worked out very nicely. My daughter had a wonderful time and we walked away extremely happy with how everything turned out.. I give this venue, the service, the location, and everything else a 10 out of 10.

The room where they serve tea is elegant and serene. It was exactly as we'd hoped it would be for a relaxing place to have a pleasant conversation with friends over delectable food and drink. We went on a Thursday afternoon and I would suggest a midweek visit since it wasn't crowded as I suspect it would be on the weekend. We ordered the ''Spring Tea'' menu option. It was $36 pp which I thought was reasonable compared to other places I've been. It included 5 tea sandwiches, desserts, a pot of tea, and a scone with cream & jam. There was enough food to bring some home for later. The selection of teas offered was large. I opted for the Earl Grey Fancy which I quite liked. My friend ordered the Ginger Peach which she really liked too. I recommend this establishment and hope to go back before long.

Each experience was hosted in a different room, which kept things feeling unique each time. For larger events like birthday parties, the food was served buffet-style, while smaller gatherings such as the bridal shower had table service, which felt more intimate and elevated. Most tea sets include scones with cream and jam, tea sandwiches, mini desserts, and a refillable pot of tea. Portions are on the smaller side, so you'll likely leave satisfied but not overly full. The food itself is decent but not particularly memorable. The atmosphere and experience are definitely the main draw here. It's a cute spot for a girls' day or special occasion, though it is a bit pricey. The middle-tier tea service is around $36 per adult, and they also offer a Little Princess Tea for kids at $20, which includes fruit, scones, desserts, and cucumber sandwiches + PB&J. One plus is the parking as they have a good-sized lot and I've never had trouble finding a spot.

One of the things we loved most was how versatile the space is. We booked for a wedding on a very short timeline for a smallish group, and top to bottom, we had an amazing experience. They made planning so easy, from our amazing point of contact/coordinator Emily answering every silly question I had, to the digital planning offerings so we could make our own floor plans for the team. The owner Summer was also highly responsive when we needed to touch base. Day of, everything was so streamlined that we hardly had to lift a finger beyond getting our decorations out of the building. The staff was on top of every element and they were all so sweet. On top of that, EVERY SINGLE one of our guests commented on how gorgeous the venue is, with some family members excited to find a place for their own events. We booked a buffet style dinner and added the lighting package, the coordinator upgrade, cake cutting, coffee service, soft drinks, and signature cocktails for a cash bar. First of all, the food is phenomenal. It's easy to dismiss any sort of banquet service, especially a buffet style, as something somewhat less than a gourmet meal, but not here. Not by a long shot. EVERYTHING is good, from the meats and sides down to the bread (at one point in the evening one of our guests had a plate of about 10 rolls, which was completely understandable.) My husband is a snob about meat, especially steak, and basically cried at our tasting with how incredible it was. We got great feedback from our guests both the day of and afterward about how great the meal was. The other really standout add on was the cocktails. It's another thing that every single guest (who imbibed) commented on, telling us not just how good they were but also how they loved trying "the groom" vs "the bride" drinks. The Charleston takes its alcohol seriously as a craft, with these drinks being the most truly *crafted* cocktails I've had in a while. It added an amazing element for our guests that they really noticed. From the "executing our vision" end of planning, the coordinator upgrade was *invaluable.* Emily handled all of our decor setup and strike, including packing things. I overplanned tablescapes, decor, and timelines, which made her job easy, but she's such a pro that she's usually the one to handle such things. (As an aside, she took my concept and ran with it in ways I didn't think of, and I was so thrilled with her execution. Emily, I adore you and your creative brilliance.) The other item we are so glad we added for our vision of the day was the lighting package. It was the thing that took a gorgeous ballroom reception into what felt like a bespoke event, from our spotlighted entrance to the lighting on the floor for our first dance. There IS an add on package that covered both of these line items and more, but because we wanted to choose some of our own vendors, we opted for only the individual items. I love who we hired, but for simplicity's sake, the larger package would probably be much easier for a couple looking for a "set it and forget it" style of wedding planning. We loved our experience with The Charleston and I'd book our special day there a million times over. The building is gorgeous and with a rich history, but beyond that, it's so welcoming--not just the people but the vibe there. For us, there was never any other venue for our wedding than The Charleston, and I'll tell everyone who will listen how much we loved it. I know yall read these reviews, so to the team directly: thank you for everything. It was the day we both always wanted, and you all made it special. We are infinitely grateful.

We started planning our July wedding in January 2022, and we wanted to have everything outside so that guests wouldn't worry about masking indoors during the time of Covid. The Griffith House has huge space for everything. The other great thing that others have already mentioned is that, other than table, chair, and bar rentals, you get to choose your own vendors and bring your own alcohol - provided you pay for their bartender and security, of course. You do have to work with (and pay) one of their in-house day-of coordinators from Hutchinson Weddings, but Amy, who we we worked with, was very helpful working through the rentals that we used from the venue, as well as coordinating our outside vendors on the day of the wedding. We really wanted to choose our own caterer and bakeries, to choose wines and beers that we liked, and to bring my own pro audio equipment for the ceremony and music. The Griffith House let us do all that.
