I have a warranty for my refrigerator. The warranty company put me in contact with this company to do the repair. Because it's an ongoing issue, they are refusing to come out and service my refrigerator. The repair man himself, is nice and accommodating, however, I can't say the same for the "gentleman" who answers the phone. I DO NOT RECCOMEND this company. read more

Inquired about needing a repair on an LG monitor. Paid the 60+ dollar diagnostic fee expecting that the issue, which is well known, would be diagnosed and repaired. Even asked, "will you try to repair it or just try and swap the board?". "Everything can be repaired" I'm told. A few days later I'm told the board will need to be swapped for 500+ dollars. I decline because if that's the case I will swap it myself for less or send the board off to repair it for significantly less. Don't have the tools or expertise to repair the soldering myself, but over 20 years in IT means I am more than capable of taking apart equipment and replacing parts. Just show up to retrieve the monitor, have to wait a few minutes to see if the monitor has "been put back together". Get home, open the monitor (yes, without so much as a scratch), disassemble down to the board. Lo and behold, some tape that needs to be removed to access the board hasn't been touched, and yes, you can tell the difference. Remove the board, and yeah, hasn't been touched. Not a mark of even an attempt at repair. So, the fee paid to diagnose the issue was wasted money. I'd use a stronger word really. Fixed the stupid thing myself for less than half the money and a repair service that knows of the issue. The 60 dollars and not even an attempt is what bothers me the most. read more

This is one of those, zero-star reviews. I can feel my blood starting to boil just thinking about the lies and incompetence I had to deal with while working with this company. I literally would not trust them to change a light bulb. On 6/3/21 this company was contacted by lowes to fix the convection fan on my oven that was still under warranty. It was days after I contacted lowes about the repair and I had still not heard from RTA, I contacted them. The receptionist had reassured me that the problem with our oven fan was a known issue and the part was ordered, but because it was such a common issue it was back-ordered part and they would be contacting me in the future about coming to repair it once they got it in. I then proactively told them that if they had planned on doing the repair in July that I was going to be out of town however with a week's notice I would be able to arrange for a friend to be there and open my home for the repair. During COVID there were endless news stories about cargo ships waiting off of the coast unable to be unloaded so I didn't pay much attention when I wasn't contacted over the summer (besides the fact that the oven in question is a double oven so the smaller top half still worked for cooking). Fast forward to a few weeks before Thanksgiving, friends coming over and a large bird is going to need to be cooked. I thought this is getting ridiculous. I called RTA again (notice that every contact made was me reaching out to them). The same receptionist picked up claimed that they had called and left several messages (clearly a lie, why would I not want my oven fixed?). They also had my email address and did not contact Lowes to claim that they could not get ahold of me. After MANY phone calls to Lowes and hours of my life spent on hold while Lowes tried to figure out RTA's lack of communication skills, Lowes determined that I didn't do enough to resolve the problem even though RTA had never once contacted me. Now Lowes is claiming that the warranty period on my oven is now expired and I would be on the hook for any repair. Well, after a quick internet search, 3 parts costing me just under $90.00 shipped to my door in 3 days followed by an hour's worth of labor using tools I already had, and my oven is now fixed. No thanks to RTA. Avoid this "company" like the plague. read more

RTA came out to look at our LG dishwasher. The person they sent was by far the best repairman we have ever had. He was on time, knowledgeable and willing to take the time to find the issue. We had other companies out for the dishwasher and the refrigerator and they did nothing but charge us a service fee and tell us to buy a new appliance. I purchased an LG TV, and was given this company's number to call with an assembly question. From the moment he answered, he was rude and arrogant. When I explained that I had a simple assembly question, his response was "just take it out of the box and put it together." I asked why he was being so nasty and he hung up on me. Our LG fridge compressor died on us again for the 2nd time within two years after the first compressor replacement. Our LG fridge is only 5 years old. LG assigned RTA to repaired our fridge. At first, I was hesitant with the reviews but David, our tech, was very knowledgeable and did a fantastic job. He wore his masks in our house since is COVID times. He immediately noticed that the other repair agency did not repaired our fridge correctly with the first compressor replacement. He reset the computer system, replaced the compressor and added the gas to get it started. He told us to add a plastic container with water in the freezer and soda cans in the fridge. Once the container of water froze and the soda cans are cold, we can put our food back in again. It will take 24 hours. We told David that our fridge was not the same after first compressor replacement. The freezer could not freeze the ice cream and our ice machine would not make ice at times. We did complain to the previous repair guy about the issues we found but he can't find the problem after charging us $800 for labor and services for replacing the compressor. We were hesitant after the bad experience with our first compressor replacement and we had no faith our fridge would return back to its original state but David did it!!! Our fridge is so quiet now compare to the hissing noise from the first repair. The ice machine is working perfectly. We have ice again and I do not need to keeping resetting the ice machine. We can keep ice cream in the freezer again. Our ice cream are frozen solid. It took David an hour and half to fix our fridge. The appointment did take awhile because they are so busy. I totally get it that we want things done ASAP. It was worth the wait for a reliable repair company. Thanks David for saving our fridge. read more

I needed repairs on my LG refrigerator. I made the initial contact simply because they wouldn't . Totally unprofessional... the office staff and the manager. Had an attitude because I reminded them that it was their responsibility to make the initial contact. I finally just gave up and contacted the manufacturer. Dave came before the scheduled time on Monday, August 15th which was great. He was personable and went to the basement to look at the washer. Dave said I really took care of the washer for it's age. I told him I had to because I didn't want to purchase a new one because it wasn't in my budget. He ran the washer through some cycles and it was working ok. Dave took the back off and found the washer was clean with no issues. The rubber seal in the front was also in good condition for the washers age. I told him the washer was not level and he found a wood piece, (shimm), in the back of the basement , placed it under the left rear leg and it was level....Praise God. I was so relieved. He said the washer could last five plus years if I continued to maintain keeping it in good condition like I've been doing. Thanks for sending Dave who was my God Send. read more

My 8-year-old LG refrigerator stopped cooling -- in the middle of COVID-19. (Luckily we have an extra, smaller fridge in the basement into which we crammed most of the food.) LG customer service referred me to RTA and another certified repair company. At first I was reluctant to try RTA because of the poor reviews on Yelp, but I ended up calling, and to my surprise, they answered their phone right away! The person on the phone asked the right questions and was able to give a diagnosis on the spot that was consistent with what I had been told by a rep at LG (and YouTube, lol). They told me exactly which parts would be needed to correct my issue, which of those were covered under warranty, and the total cost for the work (which, by the way, was much more reasonable than another company that I called). They put me on a brief hold to check if they had the parts in their inventory (which they did), and told me that they would call back between 5:30-6pm that same evening to confirm an appointment window for the technician to come out the next day. I was shocked that they called me back in that time window and confirmed my appointment window for the next day! They said they would come sometime between 10am-1pm. Today, the technician called me en route to let me know that he was about 15 min out, and lo and behold, 15 mins later, my doorbell rang! He arrived at 12 noon, and worked for 2 hours straight. The compressor, control board and dye drier were replaced. He explained that it could take 12-24 hours for the unit to reach target temperature and that filling the fridge and freezer with a case of water bottles (half in fridge, half in the freezer) would help the unit to reach temperature as well as indicate when it's ready (water would be frozen). When I checked ~8 hours after the repair, some of the water bottles had ice! Yay!! We haven't seen ice in days!! lol Five stars to RTA and their staff (phone staff and technician) -- for their competence, knowledge/experience and doing what they said they would, when they said they would! I am so appreciative that my issue was resolved promptly (28 hrs total from when I called until the repair was complete) -- and all of this during COVID-19!! read more

I was hesitant to try them after seeing some of the reviews on here but after not hearing back from several other repair companies, I decided to give RTA a try and was not disappointed. They picked up right away, checked to see if they had the part I needed, then scheduled me for a 2-hour time window the following morning. They also called later in the evening to confirm and once more the morning of when someone was on their way. Peter was on time, polite, and got right to work. I appreciated that he wore a mask in my house without me having to ask. He replaced the door lock on my LG washer/dryer combo unit in no more than 20 minutes and was on his way! I hope this review is helpful to anyone who might be on the fence about hiring RTA. read more

Do yourself a favor, don't make the same mistakes as I, and don't do business with this company. Our washer issue started in October 2017. It became iMarch 2018 and our issue wS still unresolved. These are the types of issues we experienced with this company - wrong diagnosis of problem, placed blame on the distributor (RTA said they ordered a part nine times but distributor never sent it), scheduling appointments and not showing up, saying the problem was fixed and later finding out it wasn't. In the end, I simply gave up and bought a new machine. read more

Very unprofessional .Was sent to my home to fix my refrigerator which wasn't cooling, comes out cleaned my evaporator coils which were frozen and left me with the instructions to put my fridge on a 2x4 to level it and it should get cold along with replacing the liner. The absolute worst serviceman I've ever had. If I could give no stars for the unprofessionlism I most certainly would. This company did repair our microwave and it seems to work fine. My disappointment is with the company itself and its lack of customer service. Our $250 charge included pick-up, repair, delivery and re-installation of a microwave and the company refused to reduce the cost when the technician didn't fulfill those tasks. Yes, the appliance was fixed but the delivery person would not carry it in and out of the house himself. He required that my husband stop work to help him. He also didn't remember how to install the microwave, even though he was the person who picked it up. He claimed not to be a technician, that the shop didn't repair many microwaves and didn't have replacement screws we needed. Oh, and he didn't usually do installations. My husband helped carry the microwave and did 80% of the installation. I called the company about adjusting our fee and they flatly refused to consider adjusting the charge. The manager/owner on the phone basically said that everything the tech told us was false -- the tech didn't need help to carry things, he repaired appliances himself, he installed 3 microwaves a day, and the shop had tons of the screws we needed. But the manager is going to talk to the tech to get his side of the story and call me back. Buddy, I have zero desire to talk to you unless you're going to compensate us for the work my husband missed helping your weird tech. I'd suggest you steer clear. read more

The worst company to deal with. Lowe's set me up with the company to fix my Samsung washer and they were suppose to come out but decided they wanted to order a part befor coming out to look at washer. Took weeks and weeks for them to get the part. They finally get the part and we set up another appointment and the night before coming out they call to cancel. Then they set up another appointment a week later. When they finally come it's the wrong part. So the repair guy is on you tube trying to figure it out. He says he needs to order a control panel. So after 9 weeks no washer I had enough and had to fix it my self. After 10 min figured out it was a sensor. The repair guys need to watch more you tube to learn. The people in the office were also rude to deal with. read more

Zero stars if that were an option. Another provider assigned them to me on Monday to fix an appliance in my home. The scheduled date was Friday. They called Thursday after 5pm with a question. I had to run the appliance to make the error happen, so I said I'd call them back. 15 minutes later I did. No answer. Called multiple times, no answer and no machine to leave a message. Friday I call 90 minutes into my service appointment time to see what is up. He gets my info and asks me what the issue is. I tell him and he says they need to "order the part." I follow up asking if they are coming today and he says no. So if they have to "order the part" they knew they weren't coming YESTERDAY. He then lies, saying they'd been trying to reach me. My number has been the same for over 15 years and the first call from their number was the day prior. Had I not called them, they clearly wouldn't have called me to reschedule. They are unprofessional and disrespectful of people's time. If you get assigned this company, ask for someone else. read more

This place absolutely sucks. If I could give them zero or negative stars I would. I've been waiting to get parts for my dryer from them. I was told today, that because their technician called out, I have to now wait more days to get something fixed. First last start off by them coming to my place the 1st time with the wrong part. I told them there was a PF (power failure) code on my dryer over the phone. They immediately said, "Parts will be ordered, we'll call you to schedule an appointment." I thought it was odd, that parts were ordered and no one ever came out to ensure these were the correct parts needed. When they did come out, he brought out a thermostat, however what I really need was a motherboard and control panel. WTF? If they would have sent someone out in the first place, the correct part would have been ordered. (btw took a day off to hear wrong parts) Now the parts are in and I schedule my appointment,get confirmation the person is coming out 8a-11a is my time window (took another day off) to get a phone call at 945am that the technician has called out and what day would be good to reschedule again. WTF again? Why can't they add me to another tech or come later tonight. The woman on the phone said, her manager isn't there and she's just calling ppl to let them know whats going on. This is completely unacceptable! Ive now taken 2 days off work because of this company only to possibly take another one off this Thursday. I'm going to call them every freaking hour on the hour to get a status to see if I can get another tech out to my house today. If you purchased an extended warranty from Lowes and live in Philly, please ask them who's the services will go through and DEMAND another company besides RTA. I will update this as soon as my damn dryer is working again. These folks also have a location in West Collingswood, New Jersey, just off the Walt Whitman Bridge. It is for this particular location that I write this review. I've read the other reviews for RTA and have to concur with the slow, inattentive service they provide. I dropped off a DVD recorder/player on June 5th to have it checked and get an estimate on a possible repair. When I did, I was told it would be "a few business days" before I would hear from them. Fine. A week passes with no word from them. I call them on the 18th. They tell me that they've been backed up with work but that I am "at the top of their list" and they will get back to me. Three more business days pass with no word from them. FINALLY I call THEM yesterday (June 24th) to ask about the status of my item. The guy tells me he has to call Magnavox to price out a replacement part and will call me back. He does...a half hour later. Point is that apparently they had decided (at some point) what my machine needed in the way of a repair but it took ME calling THEM to follow up. They may do good repairs (I can't speak to their work since the cost for mine far exceeded the cost of a new machine) but I can say in my opinion that their customer service and follow up is lousy. There's no way it should take almost three weeks to follow up with someone on a repair...especially when initially you've been told it would be "a few business days." They also charged $35 for an estimate...seems awful high to me, although they said that if you have the recommended repair done they put that towards the total cost. Sad thing is that Magnavox recommended RTA as a local service provider for their products. But from what I learned, Magnavox - along with Sylvania and Symphonic - are now produced under the parent company Funai. And their workmanship leaves much to be desired. So do, apparently, those they recommend for repair work. I won't be back and based upon my experience I wouldn't recommend to anyone else, either. read more

They took our over the range microwave to get fixed, after 2 weeks we called them because they would not give us an update. they could not tell us anything, 2 more weeks passed and we called again... they told us they were waiting on a part... after a month and some they called to tell us we were going to receive our microwave 4/9/2019. After receiving it, they did NOT fix anything! The microwave would trip my GFI and breaker. We found one outlet that when plugged in the microwave turned on on its own and started smoking again smelling like fire! read more

ALBO appliance uses these people for their extended maintenance contracts. I will never again get the extended contract from ALBO solely because this company sucks. They won't even call you until at least 48 hours after ALBO contacts them about the problem. I have had to call them repeatedly because they never make the initial contact. Then they won't come out to even look at the appliance they just order the part. How they know what part to order I have no idea. So you end up waiting weeks or even months before you even see a repair technician. Last time my gas range malfunctioned, I complained to ALBO so much that they finally put me in contact with another service provider who came out in about two weeks. Months and I do mean MONTHS later RTA called that they had the part!!!! Bad company to deal with when you need an appliance repaired ASAP. read more

Less than a zero would be better for these losers! A tech came out to fix a cosmetic trim piece on the door to my 1 year old dishwasher. He was here less than 10 minutes and said he could not take the whole door off by himself. He would need another set of hands. My dishwasher worked perfectly fine before this man came to my house to "repair" it! How does a service technician come to your house and make your appliance WORSE than when he entered the house?????? When I called to speak to the manager about sending someone back out to connect whatever he disconnected, I was told no because the tech's car broke down! How is that my problem? The manager named "Peter" was rude and disrespectful. This dishwasher is covered under a Home Depot warranty who contracted the job out to this group. On the plus side, they told my warranty company that it wasn't repairable and now I get fully refunded for appliance, warranty, AND a competent group to come out and reconnect whatever they disconnect. I'll pile on here and say this company is awful. Scheduled service through lowes for a warranty on a dryer. The first visit the guy gave me some baloney that my sensor didn't work because the dryer vent was too long. He said use manual mode and left. Dryer still didn't work right. Rescheduled the appointment and the never showed up. Found out from Lowes that they closed the ticket, never called to let me know. I told Lowes to drop them from their provider list and they wrote them up. Based on the other reviews here this company seems either too arrogant or too stupid to know that they are in the service game and they suck at it. My rating: They Suck! read more

I have been trying to get my issue with my LG refrigerator resolved for months!!! Apparently in off Philadelphia this is the only place that sevices LG. My refrigerator doors were to be replaced by LG because they were peeling. A tech came and took a photo of my serial number/model etc. Apparently the wrong doors were ordered as they did not fit. New doors came to be installed on 5-27-20 the right and bottom freezer fit but not the left (ice maker side). I was told they would handle it. Every time I call no door in yet. I called LG directly on 6-25-20 and they put me on hold to call directly to RTA. I was told the "supervisor" would contact LG directly either 6-26 or 6-27. It has been on multiple occasions that they stop by and say there's nothing wrong here, collect their fee and leave. After RTA denied repair of my washing machine and said to fix it, it would need a new pump motor, tub, etc and etc. It would be cheaper to buy a new washer than to fix it. Well, I called Elite Appliances in Lumberton 609 845 0444. The serviceman came out and fixed my washer, no parts needed! Do not use RTA. I had them here to fix my range. The last time the technician (who was very nice) was here he did not have the correct parts. I happened to casually mention that I needed my TV fixed. He asked to see it and took a picture of it with his phone. He said to call the warranty company and put in a request for service. Took less than 5 minutes. I later received a phone call asking for the serial number which I then supplied. I was then told, after I called, that it was something not covered by the warranty company - and I should know that - so I need to pay 89.95 for their "service call" - are they nuts!!! What service call????? They didn't come here to see the tv but to fix my range. I simply aked if they fixed TV's and that is how this lunacy began. When I complained I was informed that they don't make much on service calls and it is very expensive to get someone out here, blah, blah, blah. That's not my problem. They kept saying "read your contract" to which I reply - they should have told me what the warranty company would or would not pay for and don't try to hustle me out of $89.95 for a quick, rude conversation on the phone and less than 5 minutes of their time when they were here to address a different problem and they were the ones who asked me to take a look at it. As stated, the technician was very nice - but the person I spoke to on the phone was arrogant, rude, and extremely unprofessional!!!!! Strange, but I have used them in the past and they never, ever have the parts I need to fix my stove. Always takes at least 2 visits................ We had to wait a while for RTA to order parts in advance to service our microwave, but once we received the phone call to schedule the repair, the repairman was at our door the next day. He arrived 45 minutes ahead of our time window, and he took 15 minutes to repair the microwave and was on his way. If I needed service on an appliance again, I would give RTA a call. read more
