For some reason I thought I left a review already (sorry) I bought a bolt action around June of last year(way before this pandemic ), customer service was superb. We starting talking about the AR platform and Vache introduced me to a featureless grip alternative, he let me take it home to try it out for free. Vache is extremely courteous and professional. He helped with the transfer of a Winchester 1873 from out of state, and made the process quick and painless during this COVID craziness. Social distancing is taken seriously, his fees are fair compared to other gun shops in the area, and the atmosphere he creates is friendly (without being exclusive like more hardcore gun shops). Don't expect to find what you're looking for in terms of firearms in stock as most places are cleared out, but they will facilitate transfers without overcharging. I found RTBA LA in a link from an arms manufacturer. I called first and found that the store could order in almost anything I wanted in hunting rifles. When I finally visited, the owner was very helpful and friendly. The store doesn't have a large inventory, so it's best to do research online, all and ask if what's wanted is available. Pricing from RTBA LA was very competitive and I was pleased to find the lowest price of out-of-state sites could be matched, no shipping charges or FFL transfer fees, either. Pricing on ammo purchased for the new rifle was very, very competitive. No line, no number, I walked in and put down a deposit, filled out the background check paperwork and waited for 10 days. OK, first I want to say I had nothing but a great experience at this place and what I'm about to say may sound negative but it's not a reflection on this business in anyway. It's a shame I have to give five stars for what should be the standard and what every business should be doing... this place is friendly, helpful and efficient. They kept my appointment, answered my questions, their prices are reasonable and I was in and out in 15 minutes. Did they go above and beyond, no(though there wasn't really a need to) and is that worth five stars, I guess in today's world it is... or maybe it should start out at five stars and for every hiccup and headache a star should be taken off, I don't know. I went to another firearms dealer in Los Angeles recently and had an appointment and once I was done with the safety certificate test they left me standing there at the counter for an hour then told me they were short staffed and I would have to wait outside for an indeterminate amount of time... I got angry and left and went to another fire arms business which I had to wait in line for two hours and then when I picked up what I purchased I had to wait in line again for 3.5 hours.... People tend to only review businesses that make them angry and wholeheartedly I have been guilty of that. It start out as a phone call to see if they had a stripped lower and the price. They had the best price in the area. Went in to buy the lower and the process was great. Love small stores. The customer service is so much better and the time spent was great. I walked in, look at the lower and started the paper work. 30 mins later I was done and that included taking a look at a few different hand guns.
