I would probably never buy a gun here again, id rather spend a few extra dollars and go to a traditional gun store. I had recently purchased a firearm from here, and they had to ship it in from another location. they told me it would arrive in 2-3 days. They kept pushing that deadline back and 2 weeks ended up passing by. I ended up calling and asking for a refund so i can go purchase it elsewhere and suddenly they had realized that they had one in stock that just came in. If i hadnt pushed them to refund me god knows how long i would have had to wait for my gun. These people are extremely dishonest and most of their workers are rude. I called the Pasadena location and asked to speak with someone in the archery department and was put on hold for an hour. No one ever helped me. So I called the West Covina store and was put on hold for 30 minutes and I gave up. I went to the Pasadena store and a customer was yelling at the manager cause he left his id there after having had purchased a gun. Some of the salespeople are cool. The majority of staff and service are terrible. Go support a business who is happy to help, and wants your business. It's so close to me so I tried a few times bought 6 guns from there. Most of the time it's a negative experience, the biggest thing is zero communication with the staff, one person told me one thing another told me another. I call and they put you on hold leave you there ( happened three times ) I went to Burbank guns and ammo and it was night and day! The staff was cool, help you right away genuinely have great customer skills. I am willing to pay more for that, but prices are similar everywhere so I personally go where I'm wanted. Keeping the review brief and simple - I really like the staff here! They are very helpful, thorough and made my acquisition of a classic Winchester seamless and pain free! William assisted me with all the paperwork's, checked, double checked and triple checked that everything is in order especially for the feds - several days later, I got the green light to pick-up my purchase. Please be advised to make sure you have your FSC if you are planning to buy a gun, all other docs are pretty basic especially if you have been a law abiding citizen. 03/26/2024 Came by today to pickup my new Ruger LC carbine 45ACP. I was helped by Mr. Jamison Elliott whom has helped me quite a few times in the past few years. After getting purchase squared away he helped my brother with some compact 9mm's. Jamison was very patient and knowledgeable my brother checked 4 different guns. Went out to FT3 Tactical on Friday to shoot my new carbine for the first time. First 10 shots were low, adjusted my aim, the next 10 shot a little higher. I went to look at an O/U shotgun. They asked for my drivers license to hold while I looked at the gun. They told me the gun was on consignment and I could make an offer. I made an offer on the back of my business card and gave it to the store employee. After shopping a few other non gun related items, the store employee said the consignment gun owner did not answer his phone and he would get back with me. I left and two days later, I'm at Burbank Airport flying to my daughters for Christmas and don't have my drivers license. Nine days later and back in town, I call Turners to find they were in the possession of my license and my business card. They had both. Questions: Why did they take the license to begin with? Why didn't they call me when they failed to return my license and business card that day? Why did they wait 9 days to never contact me at all? I was a little wary concerning my drop-in for a background check just based on past experiences with the people at the gun counter. They just seem very blunt and monotonous which makes the whole gun-buying experience a little daunting. This is also my third firearm purchase. In contrast, my experience with Chris was great. A struggle to get parking and a 3 hour wait to be helped, prices were okay but I'd go to a different location

I've been coming to Turners for several years now and it has been pretty good. They are reliable in store and online. SERVICE (Needs improvement) Everyone that has helped me here has been decent. Service at the gun counter needs to be updated. You pull a ticket and wait for your number to be called like you're at the deli. The only problem is that paperwork for firearms takes a whole lot longer than chopping meat and making sandwiches. Another issue is that they occasionally skip over numbers when they roll the called out numbers. It would make so much more sense to have virtual lines like restaurants do. Yelp even offers it! On November 28th of this year, I visited the Pasadena location to start and complete a Private Party Transfer. Turner's was not my first choice, but nothing could have prepared me for what followed. The experience resembled something out of Dante's Inferno, specifically the city of Dis, the capital of hell. A two-hour wait just for a simple PPT is beyond unreasonable. I also understand the multitude of paperwork that is required by the state, but a 2 hour plus wait, ludicrous. It was chaotic, disorganized, understaffed and absolutely unacceptable. I am not the type to complain. Frankly, I would rather take a hit to the groin than voluntarily put myself through a visit to this store again. And after this experience, I can say with the utmost certainty: I will never step foot inside Turner's Outdoorsman again. For a chain, your prices are astronomical, the workflow is inefficient at best, and the customer service, particularly from your manager, Kevin, is astonishingly poor. The level of indifference he displayed is something I have never experienced from someone in a customer-facing leadership position. If Kevin believes he is projecting professionalism, he is sorely mistaken. His demeanor is stoic to the point of being robotic, more T-1000 than human. A simple "Hi, how are you?" when a customer is standing directly in front of you is not a luxury; it is basic customer engagement. Instead, what I encountered was arrogance, condescension, and a complete lack of personality or approachability. Individuals who work in high-demand, high-interaction environments, especially involving firearms and compliance processes, should be capable of displaying at least minimal interpersonal skills. Kevin's presentation made an already miserable experience significantly worse. I do not write this letter lightly. But after what I was subjected to and witnessed, I believe someone in that organization needs to have a serious conversation about the culture and customer service standards being tolerated at this location. read more

I HIGHLY advise if you do decide to check out Turner's...show up early as you can because the lines can be atrocious even with the 'take a number' system that they have. The firearm selection is pretty expansive, but they don't seem to offer bulk ammo deals and have sold out of some popular ammo brands/calibers during the handful of times I've visited. Unless you're looking for a very specific firearm, I would advise you to consider checking out some of the shops in Burbank for better customer service and less wait times. read more

Made several firearm purchases here and every time, the sales reps (Jameson, Lawrence, Savak, and William) are all patient, informative, and helpful. I feel like a kid in a candy store, except the candy is actually a weapon capable of producing death or serious bodily injury. Are the wait times long? Yes, if you go during peak hours but that's because the sales reps give you their undivided time and attention and won't rush you. Is there a good selection to choose from? Also, yes. I purchased the Springfield SAINT Victor and Mossberg JM 940 and have heard that they're hard to come by. The only downside is the parking lot. Jamison helped me with my transaction and he was wonderful to work with. They offer a lot of gear and services for all of your outdoor needs: archery, guns, ammo, fishing, camping, etc... This place gets busy so you may have to take a number or wait in line. They have a large parking lot that they share with other businesses and it fills up. I have my CADL & passport with me to process firearm transfer; my driver's license name has shown middle initial and passport has full middle name; the staff turn me down and asked me to find the exactly same name on two picture ID issued by government. I think the reason to show ID is to identify /verify the person, not stick on paperwork and middle initial or full middle name; I felt very sorry about these people.
