I hired Brian to help prepare my home for sale based on a list of repairs and improvements provided…read moreby my real estate agents. Brian presented himself, when asked by my Agent, as someone experienced in plumbing work. He replaced the plumbing connections on top of the water heater; however, the unit continued to leak afterward. He was on-site for over eight hours that day. More than four of those hours were spent at Home Depot, and the remaining time was used working on the water heater plumbing. I later hired a licensed plumber from a professional plumbing company, who advised that the job should have taken approximately two hours, that incorrect parts had been used, and that the work had been performed improperly and unprofessionally. During one of his Home Depot trips, he was sent to purchase gutters for the house but instead returned with a large box of miscellaneous items (at least 20 insignificant items) that had not been approved or discussed. These items totaled over $400!!! There is no justification for treating someone else's money that way, with no regard for their approval or expectations. To make it better, he stated that he had used a friend's military discount card as if that was a good thing. The gutters were never purchased and when I returned the items to Home Depot, I only received a reduced refund, resulting in an additional financial loss. I asked him if the discount was charged back to his card and he said "no"??? I also observed him spend approximately four hours making a minor repair and painting the front door, which further raised concerns about the efficiency and quality of the work being performed. Overall, a significant amount of time was wasted, the quality of work was below standard, and I incurred unnecessary big expense as a result. The experience was extremely disappointing and resulted in both financial loss and delays in preparing the home for sale. He also left several tools at my home and said he would return after Memorial Day to collect them? Seriously? As a single woman in my 60s, I found this situation inappropriate and unsettling for numerous reasons.

We wanted to do a bathroom remodel but kept putting it off because the process seemed daunting and we didn't want a repeat of a bad experience. We finally decided to take the plunge and what a great experience it was. The entire process of our bathroom remodel couldn't have been better. From the start of the project to the end, it was seamless due to good communication and organization by Steve and his team. They are knowledgeable and accommodating. They were professional, polite, and at the end of each day, you didn't even know they were in the house as everything was clean. His team is detail-oriented and have great skills, which showed in the superb job that they did. We couldn't be happier, as the final remodel really exceed our expectations and it's our favorite room in the house. We can't wait to have our other bathroom remodeled now. If you are looking for a great remodel for any room, I cannot recommend Steve's Handyman Service enough. What you will get is a high-quality job and you will not be disappointed.

I was left to try any chair I liked (there were many, 50 maybe, that fit the bill) and somehow, during the three hours I spent doing that, was provided an education in recliners. La-Z-boy recliners in particular, which equipped me to choose one that is exactly what I wanted: a manual recliner with excellent lumbar support in which I can comfortably sleep (I'm old). I spent under $725. It has been two months and I couldn't be happier! Thank you Patti, you really know your stuff!

LaZBoy Santa Rosa has TERRIBLE customer service…read more They completely screwed us. We chose and paid for a love seat, and planned to come pick it up the following weekend (we live 1.5 hours away and needed to bring a truck and a friend to help load, as the store will not help load anything they are not paid to deliver, which is understandable). We called the salesperson Wednesday to confirm we'd be there Sunday at noon to pick up. Fast-forward to Sunday at noon, we walk in after borrowing a truck and friend to be told by the salesperson 'Oh, I was just about to call you. Your loveseat was accidentally picked up by our staging team and sent to San Jose.' That part was not a giant deal, mistakes happen, we get that. We absolutely could have planned to pick up a different day. The problem was she knew this Saturday AND DID NOT CALL US. We said they needed to make it right by delivering it free of charge. The 'best' they could do was offer us $120 off and say they could have our PAID FOR loveseat back to Santa Rosa the following weekend so WE could come pick it up. They are really disappointing, and have no interest in correcting their mistake that could have easily been avoided had they had the courtesy to call and let us know the furniture wasn't there. Zero stars.

Please see my review of January 2023 when he did some interior work at our house. This review is for the second job that he just completed. To demonstrate the level of trust that we have he actually stayed in our house near Salt Point State Park many nights instead of driving back and forth an hour and a half each way. This trust alone should be enough for anyone of us to push the hire button. The latest project is a 121 year old single story ranch house. It had been neglected by prior family with little maintenance and was years overdue for paint. The prep work alone was over 8 days of scraping and sanding. I worked on the weekends for a few months then Joey took over. Besides the professionalism and highly skilled craftsmen that he is . . . Joey is also an Artist. Technical skill is one thing but in this business aesthetics can be everything especially when it is a home and can encompass all those complicated feelings that arise from a long history with multiple generations having lived and loved in this house. He made a lot of suggestions that we implemented. None of those cost us extra nor were designed to add to the bill (I know some contractors do that or people feel they do so I am adding this in). He is thoughtful and considerate. He is not cheap nor should he be with the level of experience and know how brought to his art. See the fotos. Do not hesitate. Hire him. You will not regret it. He and I are already planning. Will have to add fotos later.
