BOOK THIS EXPERIENCE. I know I know, Mexico is for tequila and tecate! Not good wine, right? Wrong, wrong, wrong. Plus it's all inclusive! Win, win, win. It's been ages since any of us have been able to travel internationally and my soul was aching for it. Olivia and Ryan made crossing international borders not only painless but curated an intimate and personal experience that you can't get with large corporate companies. They picked us up in their spacious luxury SUV from our AirBnB as my boyfriend and I were on a private tour. There was coffee and breakfast from Better Buzz Coffee (local coffee shop) waiting for us as well as a mini cooler filled with drinks and water (they so thoughtfully asked in advance what type of beverages we liked and took out breakfast order the evening before). There's also phone chargers and blankets if you want them. Ryan and Olivia are so warm and welcoming (not to mention have killer style- I wanted Olivia's whole outfit!) and after a quick ride to the border we were in Mexico before we knew it. I took a lot of comfort knowing Ryan and Olivia have done the trips many times and are familiar with border policies and are also committed to removing the stigma that comes with entering Mexico by land. We started with a personal barrel tasting tour at the Solar Fortun storefront followed by a quick picnic style wine session at the actually winery which is further into the Valle. Next we hit a delicious taco stand for authentic tacos followed by the second winery, Monte Xanic (amazingly beautiful grounds). The last winery was at Relieve. We enjoyed all of the wineries but the last one has the most fun/hip vibe. Also, the wineries can be switched up according to your preference. The day finished with an amazing dinner at Finca Altozano (I think it's a Michelin star restaurant). This was not only amazing in taste but the grounds are gorgeous with huge staircases wine barrels to watch the sunset in and even a garden and goat pen. They also made getting back over the border a breeze as Ryan has Global Entry. So if you're still reading this grab your passport and thank you for coming to my Ted Talk and go book it already. I have wine tasted more times than I'd like to admit and I can guarantee you will not get a better deal for the intimate and unique curated experience. Way, way better than Napa. To top it off, the wine is delishhh. Thanks Ryan and Olivia! Hope to meet again :]

We traveled with Ruadeseo on a recent 5 day visit to the Baja California region of Mexico. From the pre-arrival planning, to trip execution, and up until group departure, our contacts Ryan and Olivia worked tirelessly to ensure logistics were carried out seamlessly. Ruadeseo helped arrange several food and wine tasting experiences at unique venues. They were highly responsive to special requests and willing to walk the extra mile to delight us. Ruadeseo did a great job showcasing all that Valle de Guadalupe has to offer. Our group enjoyed a lovely visit and I would not hesitate to utilize this travel provider again.

Olivia and Ryan give a 5 star effort into making this trip memorable and a ton of fun! They are very accommodating and make you feel completely at ease. They keep everything super organized so that you have time to hit every amazing location. Lunch and dinner were absolutely amazing, I drool thinking about the tacos they had for lunch. They also work with locals, know their way around and you can never go wrong with that. We were extremely impressed and would book this trip again in a heart beat.

Our trip to Valle de Guadalupe with Ruadeseo was so fun & filled with adventure. We had an amazing weekend of good wine & good food & good views. Olivia & Ryan took us on an amazing tour through Mexico wine country, unlike any other we have been on! The ride was super comfortable & I am now spoiled and cannot do a wine tour any other way! The whole weekend was super well thought out & executed with perfection. All of the locations we were taken to were one of a kind & unlike any other. Highly recommend for anyone who loves wine & a good time!

Have you ever met someone that you wanted to adopt as a bestie within the first ten minutes of meeting them? Well if you haven't yet, you will, once you book Ryan and Olivia (Ruadeseo).  We (we being 8 hungover girls on a bachelorette party) booked a day trip to Baja for wine tasting.  This was the first time for most of us driving into Mexico, with poquito Spanish speaking skills.  Ryan and Olivia were super patient, even when booking they answered every question we had regarding the contract and waivers.  Ryan (recently adopted bestie) picked us up with hot coffee and warm bagels, not to mention chilled beverages based on our selections.  The ride was comfortable and provided breathtaking views.  It is obvious the wineries have a wonderful relationship with Ruadeseo, very warm and familial vibes. If it wasn't for Olivia and Ryan we wouldn't have had such a memorable experience.  Thank you for making this one of the most unforgettable trips we've ever been on, we will definitely be back.

One thing to note, he is very strict on timing, so if you think you've got an extra five minutes, you don't.. LOL Now onto the tour itself. I've done quite a few wine tours, and unfortunately this one was my least favorite. It was also the first wine tour I've done that only visited two locations, which was a bit of a letdown. The first winery had a nice selection, we got three wine tastings. The Burgundy was my favorite from The Heritage flight. The property itself was beautiful to walk around, with amazing scenery and lots of great photo spots. We also stopped by the sweets shop and picked up a few treats. There were also surrounding shops near the winery. Personally, they weren't really my style, but that comes down to taste. If you like clothing and home décor, you might enjoy it more. Clothing prices looked to start around $50 and went up from there. The home décor shop was very cute with lots of handmade items, mostly in the $20 range and higher. I skipped the candle shop due to allergies. The charcuterie board was a nice touch and came with a good variety of items. The second wine location included five tastings. I personally wasn't a fan of the wines here. One person in our group ordered a glass from the regular menu and shared it, it was much better than the tasting options, and most of the group seemed to agree this stop was a bit of a disappointment. That said, the views were absolutely incredible. The pizza included in the tour was a highlight for me, I had the vegetarian, and it was really good. The vegetables were fresh and crisp. There wasn't much walking around at this stop, so we mostly stayed at the table and ate. My favorite parts of the tour was the food and the tour guide. I'm glad I tried it and can check another wine region off my list, even if it wasn't my favorite experience overall. For reference, we were picked up at 9:45 AM and dropped off around 3:00 PM.

This was, hands down, the best walking tour we've done, and we do these regularly around the world. We met our guide, Blerta (aka B) under the Gaslamp sign, and promptly started our tour. Our first Bites and Booze stop was at Meze Greek Fusion, were we sampled sangria and an interesting Greek quesadilla (sounds strange, yet it worked). We learned a bit about the company that owns Meze, and then continued our tour through the Gaslamp, learning a ton about its history. Our second stop was at Double J's BBQ, where we enjoyed an in-house lager and a pork belly taco. For those who "know" BBQ, and think that there's no way a BBQ joint works in CA, of all places...think again. This was damned good. We continued our tour, again learning more about the history of the Gaslamp. Let me interject here and say that Blerta was a fountain of information, delivered in a way that you can tell she loves doing these tours. Our third stop was The Field - an Irish restaurant that we've visited in the past (when one is married to an Irish woman, you can sort of expect that). It's always fun to walk through the restaurant, where the decor is over 100 years old. We tried an Irish Mule (go figure) and a Shepard's Pie. For me, the bite wasn't my thing...but then, I'm not Irish. Our last stop was a stunner - Cali Cream. I'm not a sugar person, so rarely have ice cream. But Blerta gave us the rundown on how they make the ice cream every morning, so when it was time to place my sample order, I went with Rocky Road (truly the Champaign of ice cream, IMHO). My wife with with Pistachio. The samples were HUGE, and incredibly delicious (easily the best Rocky Road I've ever had). Bottom line, GREAT way to spend an afternoon exploring the history of the Gaslamp (who knew there were so many brothels in Gaslamp in the 1800s?) The booze and bites selections were well done, Blerta was simply awesome, and we'll definitely be giving So Diego Food Tours another go. HIGHLY recommended.

There were 7 of us on the trip, and everyone had a fantastic time in no small part due to the effort that Joaquin, Marleny, and our drivers (Abel, Edgar, and Carlos) put into making our experience very special. Working with Joaquin to plan the trip was seamless and straightforward. He provided extremely useful information, and when our trip approached he and Marleny finalized the itinerary and provided us with concise yet very important information on how to cross the border and meet our driver. I had never crossed the border on foot, but it was pretty seamless. It's about a 1.5 - 2 hour drive from the border to Ensenada, and I didn't feel comfortable doing that drive on my own, so having Baja Winery Tours provide transportation was essential and eliminated the stress of getting around. Baja Winery Tours set up all the reservations at wineries and restaurants in Valle de Guadalupe. The wineries we visited were on point, and the food was absolutely spectacular. On our last full day, our dinner ran a little long and then we hit a bit of traffic getting back to the hotel. Our driver handled these issues with grace and full understanding. I would highly recommend having Baja Winery Tours provide all the logistics and travel if you're planning on visiting the area.
