I did a lot of research, because I care about my cars. I recently bought a VW Tiguan, and it seemed like a good deal. A few weeks later, kaput! I had just left home to run errands, and it started running really rough. I quickly pulled over near the closest parking lot. Opened the hood to see if it was anything obvious, nothing. It started right back up, but continued idling rough, so I went back home. I googled for simple answers, went back to the car to start her up, crank, but wouldn't no start. Uh oh! I only have good things to say about this shop. They fixed a problem I've been having since the day I drove my used 2005 VW New Beetle home from the dealership (after they and multiple other mechanics totally missed the problem). They sent me photo evidence of the parts they replaced, an explanation of all charges/work done, plus a detailed list of every code from the diagnostics they ran. My '05 beetle was losing power when the engine idled, and often for no apparent reason. It was a sensor (can't remember which one) in the engine. They gave me the information and estimate, with photos of the old deteriorated part alongside the new one they installed. The car was ready in roughly 24 hours. Uppn pickup, they talked me through a detailed analysis and overall prognosis for my car. Before I left, they cut the labor charge in half without me asking. This place is worth the money. Tyler always answers my calls when it's not too busy, gives me the right answers I'm looking for. When I showed up in person for a same day appointment, I waited exactly an hour for a PPI not less like other places usually try to cut me short giving me a 45 min inspection on a "one hour job" I was very satisfied with the comprehensive detailed pictures with explanations speedily emailed to me upon the PPI completion. Afterwards Tyler spent 15 minutes going over what needs to be replaced in the order of urgency and the prices and parts I'm looking for. They don't try to swing me over for unneeded services. If you see dubsquared sponsored on an Audi R8 race car then you know you are at a seriously dedicated mechanic that you can trust and sleep well knowing that they will be honest with you the whole way through. As I sit inside the dubsquared waiting room waiting for my 2013 Audi A4 oil change, I would have to say that coming here has been one of the most pleasant experiences at an auto repair shop. The guys who run this place are professional, straightforward and a pleasure to deal with. You can't go to many auto shops (including dealerships) and say that. It's also a lot cheaper coming here. I pay about $65 for what the Audi dealership tries to charge ~$150 for an oil change. They use motul synthetic oil. Luckily I haven't had any need for major repairs (*fingers crossed*) but if I ever do in the future I know where to come. Now, granted the atmosphere won't rival Dallas Audi with its free lattes, sodas and snacks, but with the money I save by coming here I can go to Pappas Bros and have a nice steak instead. I love my car, 2006 Passat! I've always taken him to the VW dealership but never again. I had an issue that VW kept "fixing" and ended up charging me over $1,800 and I had to keep taking back because the problem continued. Since most of my work is performance oriented, it is great to work with a shop that has experience and can make informed recommendations in this area. Everything from the very first phone call I made to the product delivered was absolutely outstanding. All of the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond in many ways. My brother has a VW Passat that needed the water pump replaced so he brought it here to Dubsquared, he has been loyal to this shop for years and trusted them to do any maintenance that needed to be done. Water pump replacement is fairly common job but apparently this place couldn't get it done properly!! My brother went to pick up the car paid the ridiculous $1,400 to have it fix but that's not even the part that upsets us... He drives home and the car starts acting up making noises and not wanting to accelerate then once he made it back home the car struggled to even start!! First thing he does is calls to tells them what the car is doing and they automatically say it wasn't what we did without even offering to take a look an double check their work. The next day my brother takes it back up to the shop driving cautiously and barely making it. He asked them to try to figure out what was wrong with it, they told him he would need to pay for a diagnostic test that would cost him $80 just for them to look at it. He has no car at this point they never offer to look over their work and the car won't start anymore so it's basically stuck there at the shop so he agrees to it. They come back saying that it's the rear main seal so he gives them the green light to go ahead and fix it costing him another $1,300 (this was with a firefighter discount). The seal gets fixed and the car still runs the exact same it didn't fix the issue at all... so now after all that they found that the fuel pressure sensor was never reconnected which was disconnected when replacing the water pump causing it to run horribly!! They still never admitted that it was them that left it unpluged even though they had to have in order to get to the water pump. Look I understand that mistakes happen and simple things can be missed but the fact that you never even bothered to check your work and saying it wasn't what you guys did as soon as you received his call is the problem!! I had to help him pay for the repairs so $1,300 came out of my pocket (it would have $1,420 without the discount) so being a firefighter I asked for the discount showed my ID and the discount was given to me, well the next day they had the nerves to call my brother saying that he needs to pay back the discount he took because that's his car and because he isn't a firefighter that it was unethical.... Really?? My brother proceeded to say that what they did to him was unethical! They said nothing in response and just hung up on him. read more

I took my Audi S5 to these guys after seeing the reviews here on Yelp. I had a communication problem with my On-board diagnostics (OBD II) port during a state inspection. Tyler and his crew were very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I went ahead and got my car serviced there in addition to the initial problem for why I took the vehicle to them in the first place.
