When I told her I couldn't push back bc this was before my birthday dinner, she told me she was keeping my security deposit because 48 hour notice is needed to cancel -- despite HER being the one to try to change my appt time by 3 hours the DAY BEFORE. In her response to me, she said the nastiest things including that this isn't "a Chinese Shop" and that she's an "American" and can change ppls appointments whenever she wishes.. despite taking mandatory non-refundable deposits. I assume she was trying to imply that he nail lady's at Chinese owned salons aren't Americans which is an extremely problematic and borderline racist comment to make in itself. Mora of the story, don't go here if you value your time or money. I would give this place 0 stars if I could.

I paid her because I really don't see NY jail for me! I asked for a receipt and she said they don't give receipts in NY! Sounds to me like the salon owner has no idea what is going down and ol girl here is trying to pocket the coins from me and all four customers here! ‍ I strongly suggest you advice your new clients of your exorbitant prices prior to service so they can make an informed decision and you don't have a situation!

On top of that, all of the nail polishes at the salon are old! Every nail polish I picked up was almost empty. The color I chose, the nail tech had to keep adding polish thinner to. They have the nerve to charge $55 for a basic manicure and pedicure, especially one that was done so quickly and looks horrible. If you are going to charge premium prices, give premium services. I would never return to this salon.

I'll barely switch it up and add a design for special occasions but for the most part I like a plain ombré with translucent glitter. The service at first wasn't the greatest but it was doable because I am particular and didn't want to have to look for a new nail salon. The service started getting worse and the nail techs would argue that what I wanted wouldn't look good. I like a clear base and they kept trying to talk me into a pink base which in my opinion doesn't look good and if I'm paying for a service I'm not going to walk around with a color I don't like. For me the last straw was when I brought my daughter with me to get our nails done for Christmas. I had made a reservation for both of us and they made her wait while they took other walk ins because I refused to have them out gel on my minor. I told them specifically due to her age regular nail polish is all we wanted. As we were finishing up one of the techs proceeded to give every customer in the salon a "Christmas gift" except me and my daughter. Which I thought was so rude. At 8:21 only 3 minutes later - I walked in frazzled and upset I was late and almost already in tears -- it is hard for me to cut of time for myself. I prob came off as rude- didnt say hello when I walked in and abruptly stated it was only six minutes. She kept telling me how she left her two kids home and came in for me. I had to get someone to sit with my husband to try to do this. I bought a certificate on yelp - figured let me use that get nails done and figure out pedicure later. With all the back and forth is was getting later - and she kept saying it it now 8:26 now 8:27 I said just do my nails so I can use certificate - she refused to service me . I wanted her to refund the certificate -- told me to get out and threatened to call police!! Now I am so upset and on border on a melt down. I couldnt refuse to take 5 minutes to help my neighbor - I could have said good morning when I walked in. I could have and would have left earlier if I knew my neighbor needed me for a few minutes. Now I am out $40 and didnt get my nails done and have to figure out a plan to find an hour or so to do it at future date. We were both upset but six minutes is hardly a big deal. and I called when I was 3 minutes late. I left my water bottle in shop - after I drove a very short distance - parked and walked back to store. Door was locked - knocked on door a bunch of times then at 8:29 called .

I was told my appointment was at 12 for a wax. I show up at 12 and am scolded by the employee as soon as I walk in. I wasn't greeted with a hello or how are you I was scolded for being "late" bc the owner who again is obviously incompetent and also a huge bitch told her I had an 1145 apt. I wouldn't even send someone I hated to this location. The way the owner speaks to people is absolutely atrocious. How they have customers that enjoy going here is beyonddde!
