I had called yesterday to see if they had any openings for yesterday or today, and luckily for me since I have a wedding that I'm in tomorrow, I got a 12:30 appointment for today! Recently went to this place for the first time. I used a credit card that I have not used anywhere else for the past two months. Three days later I received a notice from my credit card company that my account had been showing fraudulent use. This nail salon is the ONLY place I have used it. They cloned my account and have been using it to make purchases. If I could post this with a negative star rating I would, because that is what they deserve. I have been searching for a nail salon - I have recently moved out to Babylon Village and have not been able to find one that I absolutely loved. Until today. I called last minute to have my nails done (on a Sunday) and an appointment was made the same day no problem. The place was clean and professional. The employees and customers equally in this establishment were very nice and Tammi the nail technician did my nails exactly the way I wanted them. My favorite little nail place for a lot of reasons. Rarely so crowded you have to wait or come back. The very nice owner always offers hot or iced tea. But recently I have been trying to find something guaranteed to last longer than Shellac/Gelish and I searched Yelp like crazy for dip powder salons, all of which were pretty far. SNS manicures, Nexgen, etc. Then I called my regular joint L&T to ask if they could do an old fashioned pink and white and the owner tells me they do dip powder manicures like SNS or Nexgen. So I hotfooted it over there and OMG. A lot of times when you say you want short short nails, manicurists don't do that. But she got them super short, sqouval, and I got the best dip powder manicure. I'm so pleased with my nails! While I was getting them done, another manicurist gave me the BEST massage which was super appreciated because my neck and shoulders were sore. But I was tiring of Shellac and this dip powder or SNS or Nexgen or whatever is AMAZING. Also way cheaper than acrylics and not much more than UV gel. When I asked the owner said they do "everything," which seems to be true. I used to go to Aegean sometimes before I found L&T but Aegean was hit or miss and really bustling. L&T is serene, underrated, always does an excellent job, and can do waxing, lashes, and all manicures. Also when I've been rushing to the airport they did mani/pedis simultaneously for me. Based on other Yelp reviews, I tried this nail salon when I needed to get my acrylic nails removed. I wanted to switch to SNS and I was interested in getting a French manicure - which most places do not do that combo. Well, I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. The manicure came out exactly as I had wanted and the nail tech was super nice and very gentle when removing the acrylic. So if you're looking for a new place that's clean, not super crowded, very friendly and that do an awesome job with SNS nails....look no further. Worst pedicure I've ever had, the tech didn't even know how to hold a nail file. She fumbled around the entire pedicure, smudged my nails twice with her palm when she was painting my other foot... not relaxing at all! Basic pedi took a hour and a half of my time and it looks like a 5 year old painted my nails. Didn't even let them touch my nails for a manicure after it took 35 mins for the girl to wrap them in tinfoil to soak of my powder gel, cutting my cuticle twice with the electric file and again looked like she had never held one before. I really really wanted to love this place. It's small, quiet and the employees are really kind . I asked for a gel manicure and basic pedicure. While I was getting the pedicure, the lady was massaging my calves for a long time. So I looked up at the prices listed on the wall and realized it's $23 for a basic pedicure! I don't know about anyone else but that seems like a lot to me. I must say the lady did a great job on my gel manicure and toes. But as we were nearing the end of the service I looked around and notice there were nail clippings by my feet and near my nail clippers! I thought to myself, This can't be true and cringed because I keep my nails short and didn't get my nails clipped. So those were not my my nails. As much as I loved the service, I will not be going back due to the old nail clippings near the equipment used for me. If they can just be more strict on their cleaning between people then they are a great place to go too! read more

The Russian woman who I believe is the owner or at least manager squeezed me in at the very end of the day which I appreciate however, I could tell she was rushing & I didn't even get to finish drying my nails (all the employees were uncomfortably staring at me when I sat at the dryer) before I was rushed out the door.... with smudged polish on one of my nails. Also she refused to do acrylics claiming my nails were too short but I never heard this anywhere else before... Well my nails were popping off within 2 weeks. Powder Gel: not many colors to pick from. Man who did my nails today was very slow. An hour and fifteen minutes, it's usually 30-40 mins most. He did a very sloppy job. And one thing I never had done was he first dipped my fingers into a white powder first. I've been getting powder done for two years now, at all different salons and no one has ever done this white powder thing that he did. When I left I had glue all over my fingers. I visited L&T Nails on a Sunday and although it was busy they made time for me (note appt was made). The manicure came out ok but the red nail polish I got was a bit too much for the girl as it was smeared and it took a while to clean. They made me wait about 33 mins but then again I understood the owner was accommodating, what I didn't like was they wanted to charge more money for the color I actually wanted. I am so glad I found this spot! The pedicurists do an amazing job, my feet feel so clean. They line the pedicure tubs which is important to prevent infections. They really take their time on your pedicure and properly clean you feet and nails. They do extra add ons at no charge like hot stone, paraffin wax, warm lotion to do your massage. It was an AMAZING mini-spa pedicure...then the NASTY, UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE owner (nasty from the minute we walked in) decided to not accept a gift card from April 2017 that has NO EXPIRATION DATE (we stated we had as soon as we walked in & several times after)...first stating it was from 2016 (CLEARLY dated 4/11/17), then stating it was from the previous owner (meanwhile identical to my daughter's 12/17 gift certificate) then saying it wasn't her hand writing, then throwing the certificates like a child after repeatedly demanding payment. The owner then advised us to tell my mom (regular customer)not to buy gift cards there anymore & we aren't welcome back to use our other new gift cards (from xmas) from there either.
