I've been to Ruby Buffet for quite a long time for my family gatherings every time they come to visit me and I am very please with the great food and atmosphere that Ruby brings. Food is always fresh and buffets are always fill with lots of quality foods ranging from fried foods, seafoods, salads, usual Chinese noodles and fried rice to ice creams! Highly recommended this buffet as it is affordable for families as well as quick hangouts spot with friends to catch up on quality food at reasonable price!

We went here because some recommended it, and we weren't disappointed. The food was bountiful, it felt like an endless supply of crawfish and other seafood options that many of the patrons were enjoying. I wanted to try the sushi, but I ran out of room... but I did try the seafood boil which I thought was well seasoned, the crab which was very hard to break and not worth my time. The clam mix was tasty, so was the salt and pepper shrimp, I wish they did this to squid. The dessert table was small, and offered very little selection.. some fresh fruit, some pastry's, nothin I would be in a rush to go back to eat... the the warm selection. Was quite enjoyable

the food was really good. Ruby Buffet meets the standards when looking for a buffet near Philly. The food is nice and there is a fine variety and the service was fine as well. There are definitely better buffets elsewhere, but it was nice eating some Chinese cuisine. Overall, this was an okay place to dine for an Asian buffet. go here now.

Like most Chinese Buffets, there are good dishes, and there are some mediocre dishes served here. The BBQ ribs and the crabs are good. The broccoli chicken and the General Tso's chicken were not as flavorful. Staff was attentive to our needs. They will bring you a crab cracker if needed. So if you don't have time to drive into Philly Chinatown and having to sit down and wait, also happens to be in the area, this place may be suitable if you're in a hurry.

It was your typical Buffett. The only reason I came is because my daughter wanted to go and it was quick service and a big enough selection for her pickiness. I arrived a little after 3pm and was told it was dinner time. I paid 49 for 3 people (2 adults 1 child). Pros: it wasn't packed. We were seated fast. If you have a picky eater there's options. The mussels and egg rolls were really good. Cons: some of the food was bland. Like the crab legs initially were bland but when you got to the bottom of the same crab leg (odd) there was more seasoning. The pineapples didn't taste good at all and I love pineapples. It ranged from tasting sour to bland non taste sweet. I was expecting more like hibachi maybe being a choice. As soon as I was at my last piece of food on my first plate someone came up to take it away. It was as if they were watching like a hawk and rushing for your table.

The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, the drinks were amazing, and the entire meal was absolutely worth it. We left already looking forward to coming back and would highly recommend it! The only minor downside was that it got pretty warm inside. It was during the heatwave, so I don't think the A/C was able to keep up, but it definitely wouldn't stop us from coming back. We sat in a cozy corner booth and could easily hear each other although we could not read the menu or clearly see what we were eating the lighting is so dim (and consistent with the gothic theme). Now onto the food. We ordered 9 dishes (waiter suggested 8) and it was way too much for us and I'm a big eater! Edamame dumplings - 4/5, may be just me, but I don't really enjoy mushy fillings to my dumplings. The broth they came in was amazing though Tuna rice cracker - 4/5, not really a cracker, more like a crunchy mini loaf of rice topped with tuna and a slice of jalapeno - delicious and much more filling than what I was expecting. I only gave a 4 instead of 5/5 for taste because of the unexpected presentation of the "cracker" Shishito pepper small plate - 5*/5 outstanding! I could eat these all day they were so delicious. I'm not sure how they flavor these or what light crunchy sprinkles were on top of this very generous portion of peppers (I would estimate maybe 30 peppers?) I'd go back just for this dish Black cod fried rice - 3/5, I should know better that a miso black cod will be somewhat fishy, and with it spread in chunks throughout the fried rice I'd say this was my least favorite dish. Crispy brussels sprouts - 4/5, a solid offering, not much to write home about Crispy tofu - 3/5, not particularly unique although it sounded amazing when described - cubes of deep fried tofu drizzled with peanut sauce on a bed of cilantro pesto. But not that tasty and not that interesting Scallop robo - 5/5, excellent with a kick from the spicy powder on these, note these are very small portions, three slices of scallop (not even a full scallop or if these were full scallops they were very thin) on a stick Ribeye scallion robo - 5/5, also excellent, with three chunks of tender grilled beef Mochi ice cream: passion fruit, matcha - 4/5, but mostly because I'm not a huge fan of mochi ice cream, I'd rather just have the ice cream or have it with a brownie or between two cookies So overall, service was great, not overly attentive. And the food was very solid with an outstanding exception with the shishito peppers. I'm not sure I'd go back as it is very dark in there and if I was seated on the first floor I'd not be able to have conversation with my dinner mates.

It's the usual center city parking situation - try your luck with street parking or park in one of the decks. This place is pretty low key but way more spacious that it looks from the outside. The boat was ok - didn't really hit the spot in the way that I had hoped. Karaoke rooms are open and pretty loud but they sound fun. I had the rainbow roll because it had a BOGO offer, making 2 rolls only $16. However, the rolls were SMALL and basically just a California roll with a tiny sliver of fish on top. Two was the perfect amount for me and I don't eat that much, so I would've been quite upset if I'd paid over $30 for that. Aside from the price and size, it wasn't very good. There wasn't much imitation crab inside (which is relatively inexpensive anyways) and the fish on top wasn't very fresh so I ended up taking it off. The salmon sashimi pieces were also half cooked? Super weird... Maybe the food would be better in person, or if I didn't order sushi for takeout, but I probably won't be coming back here :(

You can never go wrong with a pork belly appetizer and each order comes with two. The shrimp pad Thai had all the flavors you expect from a classic pad Thai but with their own twist. We were a party of two and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The Highlights: Quality: This is hands-down the best quality "all-you-can-eat" (AYCE) sushi I've had. Unlike other places where the fish can sometimes taste frozen, everything here tasted fresh and high-quality. Service: Our server, Jordan, was incredibly attentive and made our lunch even better. Menu: The miso soup was delicious, and the salad portion was generous. The fried calamari was also great, though the pieces were on the smaller side. While the chicken teriyaki was a bit disappointing, the rest of the meal more than made up for it. Value: At approximately $33.85, the AYCE price is a great value for the quality you receive. They also have an extensive ramen menu--while it's not included in the AYCE price, it looked delicious and is something I'm excited to try next time. Overall Thoughts: The restaurant was very quiet during our lunch visit, which made for a relaxing meal, though I imagine it gets lively during happy hour. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're looking for fresh sushi and great service!
