First time here and the owner was doing a fantastic job of providing exceptional customer service. In addition he was very attentive to his staff needs and did not hover but ensured they were set up for success. I've rarely seen management this exceptional towards staff. The salon is VERY CLEAN and they use new packaged tools on each client. The technicians are patient take their time and seem to have a strong personal client base. Just had the best gel manicure service I've ever had in my life at an affordable price of $25! Sara really paid attention to detail and took care of my delicate skin and also provided an awesome conversation which normally I'm just quiet the entire time but she was so friendly I guess I just couldn't help myself! Thank you so much to Peter the daytime store manager / owner, I believe who actually plugged my phone in because I was at 3%, free of charge. I would have given this a 5-star review however the grumpy old Chinese lady manager who came in to take over for Peter gave me a stank attitude when I gave them a suggestion about something. I guess she can't take constructive criticism. Otherwise this place is phenomenal, their services are great, they even offer a hand scrub at the sink to clean your hands with in lieu of generic hand soap. I got a gel mani and regular pedi today. Wendy attended to all my needs and helped me pick great colors. She was nice enough to suggest pretty colors and she's very quick and thorough. I've been to many salons before and this is probably the cleanest and well decorated place I've ever been to. I think all the manicurists are highly skilled and even if I didn't have Wendy I think I would have been super satisfied anyways. Everyone is super accommodating and the atmosphere is very calming. I've been coming to Ruby Everyday for the past two years and happy with their services until recently. On three occasions, I made appointments to have a pedicure with Ana and each time I was informed that Ana was not available. The first time I was informed that Ana was running late and wouldn't be able to do my pedicure. I was understanding and had a different nail technician do the pedicure. The second time I was informed that Ana was too busy. The last and final time, a customer walked in 5 minutes prior to my pedicure appointment (I was at the nail salon finishing a manicure) and Ruby had Ana help the walk in customer. When I asked about Ana's availability, I was informed that Ruby forgot and another nail technician can do my pedicure. Are you kidding? This is the way you treat your loyal customers. In addition, when discussing the situation further Ruby argued with me and did not even offer an apology. She went as far as to accuse me of being late and not on time for my appointment. If I was late (which I wasn't), then I would hope you would let me know that Ana would not be able to do my pedicure immediately. The nail salon is clean and the atmosphere is pleasant. However, the salon is lacking in customer service and the owners are rude. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Ruby Everyday is a great neighborhood nail salon. Most importantly, the salon is immaculate. They have a great selection of polishes. They also have a lot of experienced manicurists working there so it is fairly easy to get an appointment with someone who will do a good job. The salon has a lot of different spa pedicures if you are in the mood for a special pedicure. Also, the woman who walks around to give complimentary mini neck massages is wonderful. This place just opened 2 weeks ago, its closer than my usual nail salon so i figured I'd try it out. The decor of the salon is nice, very zen like and clean. The space is pretty well utilized. The drying section only has seating for 4, i was glad it was very slow.Nothing worse than waiting for a dryer. Their color selection is very basic, which i always hate to see. A nail salon should really offer a variety of colors and brands. The services are more expensive than other salons. $9 for a basic mani and $18 for a pedi. Other than using disposable callous removers in the pedicure there was no difference in my normal mani/pedi combo which is $5 cheaper. The chair massages are $12 for 10 minutes and I believe $24 for 20 min. I normally pay $15/15 minutes. The girl however did come around while i was drying and I did get a freebie massage for a tip. Prior to leaving the owner insisted on checking out my polish job, which I wasn't totally into her touching me as I had just watch her change a bandaged wound on her hand without washing before or after (i'm a nurse). The girls who worked their seemed sweet and were very personable. All in all, it seemed like an ok place. I'll probably go to my usual place next time and save a few bucks. read more

This place is clean yes. However the prices are outrages. They will also charge you extra for any little things and tell you when it's time to pay. The service isn't any better then any other nail salon in this area. They also charge over 4.5% for you to use your own credit card. But don't worry they will not tell you that until after they have swiped your card and changed you. Oh and it will take you over 3 hours for a manicure and pedicure. It should not matter what your ethnicity is ,she should treat everyone fairly. For $54 I received a gel French mani, a spa pedicure, both complete with a hot stone massage on the feet, calves, hands and forearms, a shoulder massage and an eye brow wax!! I am a regular customer at this salon until today. My card was accidentally charged $72 for a pedicure. The owner was upset with an employee and didn't realize that she charged me $72. I called my bank and they said the funds will be placed back on my card in 3-5 days!! I am extremely upset that I have to wait to get my funds back because of their negligence. I've been coming here for over two years now and I never have any complaints. Everyone here is always amazing from the owners to the nail techs to the massage lady. They always honor appointments as well as trying to accommodate walk ins. This place is always neat and clean and everything is always sanitized. Their spa pedicures are absolutely amazing with many different options and gel manicures always come out perfect and last at least 2 weeks. I've been going here ever since it opened. It is the cleanest nail salon I have ever been too. The salon itself has a glamorous spa like feel and their music is serene and relaxing. Ruby the owner is on top of her store and staff like no ones business. She makes sure everything is handled smoothly. Her main girls know the regular clients by first name and are so sweet. Gloria gives the best 10 minute massages. My only complaint is that I feel like staff changes too frequently and they lose the good ones. So I'm going to try to make this as short and simple. I have been here 3 times. I always had a good time and paid a decent price for gel mani and pedi. Cost me 52$. Now today going here the owner told me I had to pay $77. I was wondering why. She didnt want to explain to me and was very rude. I explained to her I was here a couple of times before. I didnt even get a massage today. I was very disappointed on how she treated me as a customer and how rude she got when I asked her for a receipt. And she didnt even want to give it to me! Horrible. She officially lost me as a customer and also lost my family as customers. This is the most sanitary nail salon ever! I haven't gone anywhere else to do my nails since discovering Ruby's. All the tools are packaged and sterilized in an autoclave - not like other salons that only UV sterilize (I don't trust those because if it's busy I feel like they pull it out from the UV box before the full sterilization time is done. With the autoclave sterilization each bag has an indicator to show that the package was properly sterilized.) I also give 5 stars to the quality of work, customer service and decor. Price is competitive with the other salons so I don't see why anyone would go anywhere else. read more

Dont get me wrong this is a very nice place, it's very clean and big but they make you wait forever. I had to wait to get seated which I understand they are busy but once I was seated I had to wait over a half hour to even have anyone do my nails. They took other people while I was sitting and started working on them right away. They got less busy and had more people available and even then they did not start my pedicure. I normally love this place. I adore getting my nails done here. I've brought all of my friends and my family. Even hosted my daughters birthday party here.However tonight was a mess and I am sorely disappointed. I got a tech that I have never had today. She started with a mediocre pedicure. Awful, rushed and sloppy. It was just bad. But I figured it's Saturday night and busy and I came without an appointment. So I overlooked it. Then I proceed to my manicure which became the icing on the cake. First she aggressively cuts my cuticles to the point of pain. I had to tell her it hurt. She responded with "you have strong cuticles." Whatever that means. Then she proceeds to the hot stone massage which I usually love. Not today. She took this ridiculously hot stone and placed it on top of my hand and burned me. It hurt so much that I yelped (ha!) and the stone went flying on to the table. She apologized and put it in water. As my hand progresses to burnt and red, she gives me my bill. At that point I had enough. I spoke to the owner who is usually a sweetheart but when I explained she said but the stone isn't hot maybe you just have sensitive skin. What???! Excuse me? At that point I just wanted to leave and soothe my burn so I told her I'd be back in the morning for the polish. Needless to say I am angry and even more upset at her handling of the situation. I was hurt and was made to feel as if I was exaggerating it. I can't believe this happened here of all places. read more

I used to come here for about a year now. When I first went, Sarah and Annie were the two go to people but I just realized today that they were no longer there. These two technicians were not only nice but very attentive to each customer. I booked an appointment with Sarah over the phone at 430 thinking it was my usual person. When I arrived at 410, the man working front desk pointed me to a new person also named Sara. I asked him what happened to the Sarah I know of and he didn't bother explain but push the new person to me. Fine. I'll give it a chance. I sat at the desk next to this person for about 15 minutes because I had arrived early and she was with a customer. Usually by this time, Alice or Sarah would approach me personally and give me an estimate of my wait time. Then 430 came... and the guy helped me to a pedicure seat. No water in the basin... nothing. I just sat there. I was directly in front of this new technician and she clearly knew I was waiting for her. But instead of wrapping her previous customer, she was sitting there gossiping and laughing. My rule of thumb is that if I'm paying you, you don't make me wait longer than 15 minutes. At 445 I put my socks on and that is when this new person decided to rush over and apologize. I could not bare to even think about tipping her so I walked out for the first time in my life... due to lack of service. I used to spend around 100 dollars every week here because I liked the service and the job wasn't terrible. Now with the good Sarah and Annie gone, and with such rude service, there is no reason to go back. This place is really becoming a mess compared to a year ago. read more

I have been getting a gel manicure and pedicure and find the gel lasts for a good two weeks. They don't chip before hand. The place is clean and I usually get good service as it relates to the mani-pedi. The customer relations needs a lot of work. Came in within about an hour of closing, but confirmed first with gentleman(co-owner I believe) that it was ok. About half way through the spa -pedi ($65), I was asked to do the mani at same time. I said I would prefer not to and then I was told by owner (Ruby) that I could not get both . I advised her that I confirmed with the gentleman and that he knew I asked for the spa-pedi. She said there was not enough time unless I do both at same time. I advised her that I would not have done a spa-pedi if I was told there was not enough time and that the gentleman knew what I asked for. I relented and said that I would do both at same time. What annoyed me the most is that she blamed the lady who was doing my pedi. I told Ruby that it was not the workers fault at all, and certainly not mine since I confirmed all with the gentleman. She said sorry (matter of factly). Other places would have offered a discount or maybe not charged for the mani, but she was very huffy about it and honestly I don't think she cared. I have a gift card and will use it, but it will not be for a spa treatment as its just not worth giving that much for a service that you cannot enjoy. After my gift card is used up, I will find a place where customers are appreciated and feel welcome. I have been going there since they opened so it only goes to show that loyalty /returning customers, community patronage does not count at Ruby Everyday. read more
