Far cry from what this resturant used to be. Last 2 visits both not worth the money. Last visit the seak was cut so thin there would be no way to cook it anything but med well or well. And very small portions on sides. This visit went back to one of my favorites- the New Orleans Seafood. Old presentation on the rice bed was much better and it is now a single piece of fish instead of 2. And zucchini beside it kind of existed. Haven't eaten at a Ruby Tuesday in quite some time. I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised. Although the food wasn't spectacular, it was better than I expected. I had the Philly Cheesesteak sub with tots and an add on salad bar. The salad bar was fresh and included plenty of variety. I wasn't real impressed with the "cheese" sauce on the sandwich. My husband was really craving Ruby Tuesday, so I reluctantly agreed to go. About six months ago, we had visited and witnessed the manager, Jeff, yelling at the servers. That experience left a bad impression, and I told myself we wouldn't return. On the way there, I thought surely he wouldn't still be working there yet, to my surprise, he was. While our server was wonderful and the food was good, I couldn't help but feel disappointed and disgusted that the company continues to employ someone who treats their staff that way. We had the blackened fish sandwich and fries it was delicious. The fish fillet is huge it hangs outside of the bun. Since then every Tuesday we either eat in or order out for this delicious sandwich. Two different times they got the toppings wrong but corrected it immediately so I was good. As long as they keep this sandwich they will have our business indefinitely! I can understand why a lot of chain. Restaurants are going out of business. I am really shocked at this one is still even around. Several months ago a group of us at work decided to go ahead and order lunch from here. Several people got burgers and tater tot's if you got the chicken sandwich and tater tot's, and I can't even say how disgusting the food was I don't have the words to even talk about how bad the food was. First off, the burgers were not even fully cooked. They were still pink in the middle, the chicken breast that they use while they are nice and thick. They are not appropriate for a sandwich. They were so thick that they weren't even cooked all the way through. Generally tater tots or crispy on the outside and nice and moist on the inside. The whole tater tot was mush. It's like all of our tater tot's were soaking in water after they were cooked. I don't even know what to say about the service it was subpar. It just took me so long to post this but I think everybody needs to know just how poor the food is here. This was the first and last time all of us ate here. No one should have to eat a meal like this and we didn't. read more

It was excellent service, delicious food, nice big windows, clean atmosphere. If you get the funnel cake without ice cream it is dry so I would not encourage that. I have to say, my recent visit here was top notch! They were crazy busy (Mothers day). We stopped here while traveling. We sat at the bar (with no wait). Our bartenders were great. Not only did our drink and food come out much faster than expected. Our bartenders maintained great attitudes and were very entertaining. Very few vegetarian options, if you're a vegetarian I suggest ANYWHERE else in town. Most other places have more options. We asked if we could get macaroni and cheese and even that is "prepped" with bacon in it and that's a no go. We settled on the primavera and garden bar. The garden bar was stocked with vegetables that must also be "prepped" ahead of time. Like days ahead of time judging by the slimy baby carrots, brown lettuce, and not so fresh tomatoes. The primavera was edible, would be much better with some roasted garlic and salt. My husband ordered a burger with no tomato or pickles but wouldn't you guess it, it came with tomato and pickles. Then we weren't able to get dessert because the major seasonal dessert they are advertising, pumpkin swirl cheesecake, just got off the truck and was still frozen. FOR 130 Dollars plus tip, I'd say they have some issues. The spoon I was given to eat my 11 dollar dessert was dirty and had old food crusted onto it. The 25 dollar slice of steak I ordered came out under cooked and still bleeding on a plate of grease the chicken breast my wife got was so small my two year old could of ate and the serving of mashed potatoes were way over cooked on the side making it obvious they were heated in a microwave they charge 16 for that. The service was great. My issue is that Ruby Tuesdays changed their menu removing what used to be called a customer favorite and they replaced most menu items making them resemble Applebees and TGIF. Why take away a fan favorite? When asked if they could make it I was told that although the chef agreed and loved the dish too he didn't have the ingredients to make it for me. The variety was good and everything was fresh and clean. I was disappointed with the potato salad. They use leftover baked potatoes and don't bother peeling off the old, dried-up potato skins, resulting in leathery, chewy pieces of skin in your mouth. Not pleasant! Shellfish Trio - A premium, jumbo lump crab cake, tender broiled lobster tail, and grilled jumbo shrimp brushed with garlic scampi butter. That is what I had for lunch at this location. I have to admit that the Shellfish Trio was delicious. I was expecting a very small lobster tail however it was a decent size that I had fun eating. Open for 15 minutes and the floor was slimy slippery and multiple people mentioned it, my husband almost fell. No one even tried to clean up the floors after the complaints. The salad bar plates were dirty even after another person complained... The food was not fresh. Everything looked old or from the day before. I have a cottage near Traverse City MI and stopped by the Big Rapids location as I needed to use the Supercharger that was a 2 minute walk away. My wife and I had their salad bar and it really hit the spot. 4 types of lettuce and everything was fresh and tasty. For the 2nd time in like 20 years I left my credit card behind. I live outside Chicago so I called and asked them to mail back to me. They took the time to mail me my card right away. Took a Sunday drive to eat in Big Rapids. Had a gift card for this place. Read the reviews and wasn't really sure what to expect. I e been to one in South Carolina and it was good. Walked in and got seated right away. I ordered the mushrooms Swiss burger and my wife ordered the classic cheddar burger. I also got the all you could eat salad bar. The fixings on the bar were fresh. No brown lettuce or veggies to be seen. My wife liked her burger. Mine was really good. Hard to find a juicy mushroom burger. A lot of time they are dry. Now this may have been a four star experience if wasn't for what I witnessed. The table next to us had someone order a well done burger. It came to him him bloody. He wasn't going to complain and I heard his wife even telling him he should say something. He didn't want to. Finally someone at the table told the waiter and he asked if he wanted to send it back. Once again the guy said no. Probably would have been the end of it at most places. But after a couple minutes the manager came to the table. The waiter informed him of what happened and the manager came over to make it right. The manager finally talked the guy into at least taking another burger home with him for free.
