I went there Sunday night with some coworkers. Our server came by 15 min after we were seated and wrote down the wrong items. Our appetizers came 15 min after we placed our order and our main dishes came 40 min later. The steak tacos were served with the meat being really hard and the pasta another coworker ordered was cold in the middle. Our server gave my coworker a seafood pasta dish when she asked for a chicken Broccoli and he gave her the right dish ACROSS the booth wall (in the pic inserted). We had to ask the hostess for our bill because our server never checked up on us during our meal. Turns out he was seated on the booth behind us listening to our conversation about how poor the service was. When he gave us our check he told us to "not do anything stupid". Oh boy. Ordered NEW item on the menu: Parmesan chicken Mac and cheese. Literally the most disgusting meal I had in years. I knew not to expect too much from Ruby Tuesday but still. The pasta was overcooked, some type of liquid "cheese" that tastes sour. Chicken was a bit better, I was able to eat that and a plain breadstick. My first time at Ruby Tuesday and I must say I was actually pleased. I worked with my friend Chris B. a few days ago and he treated me to a nice dinner at Ruby Tuesday. Isn't that sweet? With much convincing, I was also able to get him to join yelp. (He's on my friend list with his dog Tyson) He ordered the Salmon dinner with Tortilla soup and I had the Endless Salad Bar. I thought it was good and I'd definitely eat here again. Our waitress was very friendly and our Iced tea refills were given without being asked. I thought the food portion sizes were pretty good and the prices are reasonable. I've had better salad bars though. For the same price I could go to Sweet Tomatoes, but then again I can't complain. It was close and good basic food. Service was good amd drinks were cold. I would go back as it was as expected.

For our last meal in Jersey, this was our only other option...either here, or go back to Applebee's...lol! Plus, it was right next to the hotel and it was pretty cold, so shorter walk. Friendly greeting when we walked in, they sat us at a booth off to the side. The only problem I had was that each time the door opened, that cold air blew through, even though we weren't near the door. Our server was friendly but his delivery was so scripted...not much personality. We ordered a bottle of wine and it was a twist off. He didn't even poor it. I know this is a chain, but some wine service skills should be given. The chicken flat bread pizza was great! Although, when we asked the girl who delivered it to bring us some small plates, she brought us some that just came out of the dishwasher...they were still wet. I ordered the Cajun jambalaya pasta with shrimp, chicken, and andouille sausage. This was very good with just the right heat. The partner didn't fare too well with the parmesan chicken pasta. I think the Swiss cheese is what kills it. We also ordered the Blondie because they were out of two others. This was good, came with vanilla ice cream. Overall, this place is fine for a decent meal. Service is cordial. It is the little things that do make a difference. This would probably be the only time I'll ever eat at an RTs. Come to find out an old friend lives 10 minutes away. The only reason why I'm giving this restaurant 4 stars is because I actually did not eat here. I placed an order to go, the girl on the phone was very helpful. She kindly told me exactly where to go to pick up my order. It took about 10-15 minutes for my food to be ready, as soon as I got there it was already waiting for me. The food was good but bar service was awful. We found it very difficult to get drink refills or anything that was asked for. After a coworker asked 3 times for a refill the bar tender got an attitude. It took someone else who was helping out to actually get the drink a few minutes later. The service bar wasn't very busy but they were unable to function very efficiently so the bar customers suffered from what I could tell. Just bad attitude from several people. I know this chain isn't a steak house. However, I tried a ribeye early this evening and was shocked at the horrible piece of supposed meat that was served to me. Fatty doesn't do the cut justice. It was deplorable and as tough as a leather belt. Great bar tender, but he didn't even question as to why I only ate two bites. He quietly took my full plate away and accepted my tip for the excellent cocktail he made. Full service is expected at these chains, but it didn't happen at this particular one. Beer SNOB review Only: They have NO craft beer (IPA or Pale Ale) on draft. They only offer craft beers in a bottle. Upon hearing this - I said goodbye and thank you - and walked out. It's understandable that the restaurant cannot run their salad bar. Even though I was excited about it I get it. However my meal there was severely lacking. My drink glass was filthy enough I didn't bother ordering another because I didn't trust the cleaning methods anyway. The chicken burger was 80% breading. Dry. Just not good. Ordered a burger and chicken Caesar salad for pickup. Went to pick it up after 20, had to wait 15 additional minutes for the chicken to be cooked. Took the food back to my hotel, the burger had gotten a little cold I guess while I was waiting. Got fries with it instead of the tots I had ordered. All no big deal. The Caesar salad had maybe 4 little pieces of Parmesan cheese, no croutons, and no dressing. I get places are short staffed etc etc but put a little bit of effort into it please. Total waste of $30. Both times there were just a handful of people there so I'm guessing the lack of their signature endless salad bar isn't new. The second time I walked out. We chose this restaurant as it was convenient next to our hotel. The server was very friendly and attentive. I got the pick three which included choice of appetizer, meal and dessert. I had the pretzels, chicken tenders and chocolate cake. Everything was good. This is within walking distance to a bunch of hotels in the area. A lot of choices in the menu and large selection of drinks. My friend had salad bar and said there was slot of selections and included soup but you have to ask for it as it's not a salad bar. A very simple order: Cheeseburger and fries. The burger was ordered "medium rare" but was rarely even cooked. The fries were so salty, they were inedible and, I was given mustard, not ketchup. The restaurant was about 80% EMPTY and the hostess said there was a 20 minute wait. She said that I could sit a the bar right away. I sat at the bar for more than 15 minutes and was completely ignored. The girl working the bar walked past me several times without ever acknowledging my presence like I was invisible. The Salad Bar is the high point of this restaurant. Everything went down from there. Wait, not everything, the hostess and our server were friendly and courteous and attentive. The building is worn and tired, and in dire need of refurbishment. The dining room chairs were dirty and have not been cleaned in a long time. The men's room was dirty and in need of service. How dirty, you ask? I could smell the bathroom odors from more than 20-feet away, as I approached. I could not get any hot water from the faucets in the men's room. I am a firm believer in what happens in the public areas of a restaurant (i.e., restrooms, dining rooms, bar) is what happens in the private areas (kitchen, walk-in freezer, store rooms, pantry). If poor service and being ignored is what you are looking for, then this place is for you. The place was empty on a Thursday night and the hostess said it would be at least a 30 minute wait. I was offered to sit at the bar, so I took that option and sat their for 20 minutes while the bartender felt that cleaning dishes was more important than helping me. The bartender finally came around and I reluctantly ordered food. This then took 45 minutes for the meal to come out. I walked into the restaurant and I found the greeter seating in the waiting area, seat's, I asked for table and was told no tables were available, but I could go to the bar area. I went to the bar area where there was tables available in the bar area with people seating at the tables and at bar. So I took a seat at a table to only get chastise for sitting at a table from the greeter, I'm 60 y/o & brown color and greeter is about 18 y/o she was brown of color also was rude to me. I noticed the majority of the restaurant was white and all the brown people who entered the restaurant were given the option to sit at the bar to order their food to go. I had blackened tilapia with mashed potatoes, salad and coke; - tilapia was fantastic, tasted good and cooked good ($14) - mashed potatoes were great as well, I got double portion - salad was especially good; first of all it's a buffet type so you get it yourself and choose what you want ($4) - even coke tasted good, not watered as at few other similar type establishments in this area all together it was ($18), which is cheaper than other places (Applebee's or TGI Fridays and few others) atmosphere good here, it's clean and inviting, employees are friendly unlike few other places. they have free internet and some tables have power outlet accessible so you can power up phone/laptop read more
