I visited this restaurant a week ago, had a very poor experience and wrote a review reflecting it. Got a response from customer relations which asked me to reach out via email. When I did that, they asked me to provide my phone number. The review and the email which further described the situation wasn't good enough. The food is mediocre, salad bar is pretty good, but if you are planning to eat here, set aside 3 hours out of your day. I have been here a couple of times while in Roanoke Rapids for work (thinking maybe I just went on a bad day, so I'll give them another chance) but every time it's the same - wait forever. Doesn't matter if they are busy or slow, plan to wait. Wait 20 minutes to get your drinks, wait 20 minutes to get refills, wait 30 minutes to get your food, wait 20 minutes to get your bill. Today I ordered a bacon cheese burger medium rare with side salad bar The bartender that took my order was lazy, took him a while to ordered my burger, of course food came 45 minutes later, I asked him for ketchup& mayo he looked at me like why are you bugging!!! Took him a while to bring it so I left the stablishment If you work serving ppl but don't like to deal with it, then work under a rock man!!! Today I had a lunch with an order totaling over $600 for an office in the area. I ordered this thru a 3rd party. The office I was hosting the lunch was harder to find but the address that I posted in the ordering app was correct . The driver called me to verify where it was and I gave her what I thought was the correct number . I requested a call back with confirm she reached but received none so I assumed all was ok. About an hour later I got a call from Latonya from the restaurant asking about location. I informed her of the number I had incorrect and asked if she could call because again I was on my way and not familiar. I, again, requested a call back after she reached them and received none so again I assumed all was ok. I arrived at the location at 1245 and the food was not there. It was slated for 1130. When I call the number that called me back Latonya was extremely rude trying to pass blame to me claiming she called the 3rd party in which upon my call to them they had zero record of this call . She proceeded to try and blame me claiming they tried to deliver 3-4 times but with NO word to me or the catering app. Company. She told me she had a business to run and had no time for this granted again this was a $674 order. This is truly unprofessional and I will be filing a complaint again against Latonya as she she stated the GM of this facility. Poor poor mgmt and poor business skills. read more

No hostess to seat us when we stopped in, but the bartender said if we sat in the area near the bar she'd serve us so we did. Very nice lady, decently attentive too for someone who seemed to be serving an entire half of the restaurant at lunch time too. I had a delicious 6oz sirloin cooked to medium rare & it was cooked perfectly, a rarity I'm finding at chains lately. My mom got the bacon cheeseburger lunch combo with a Caesar salad & she said her's was quite tasty too. I opted to get the salad bar as one of my sides & it was well stocked with a few extras like black beans and crispy onions that I haven't seen at other Ruby Tuesdays before. The lettuce was a bit brown/wilted though & a few plates were quite dirty at the salad bar, so I'd reconsider that if you're planning on ordering it, or at least paying close attention to what you're grabbing. read more

Stopped in for dinner around 6:30 , I should have known when there was no hostess to greet us things were not going to end well. There were a few people seated in the dining room and a couple at the salad salad. The bar area was a bit more crowded, but not overly busy. Several waitresses appeared to be delivering food to their tables but no one approached us. We stood there waiting for about ten minutes when a waitress returning to the kitchen called across the dining room "if your waiting for a table, there's a Fifty minute wait and we'll get to you when we can." and then disappeared into the kitchen. It was Christmas Eve and it felt like a sauna inside! It was maybe 85-90 degrees inside. The service wasn't that great but the food was surprisingly good. I ordered the petite sirloin with broccoli and mashed potatoes. Normally, I don't like chains and their food can sometimes be gross, but I did like the food here. I really didn't expect much so couldn't believe how bad this was. First-we were seated in the bar, when there were so few people in restaurant that seating in main area was empty. Oh well. Husband had a very mediocre bacon cheeseburger. Cooked properly but no taste. I ordered chicken bites Cobb salad. The chicken was truly inedible--and I'm not picky about fried chicken. It was so dry and over cooked that I couldn't get a piece down. Waitress replaced it with some that was not as "crispy " but still so dry and chewy that it was inedible too. The avocado on the salad was crunchy, maybe 3 days away from being ripe. Overall it was a really awful meal. I get it-it is a chain and you shouldn't expect cuisine-but you should be able to enjoy it, or at the very least eat it read more

So I am currently mid-meal here. This is a natural halfway point on this road trip, so rather than the usual drive through, we thought we'd stop for something more substantial. It has been 30 minutes and we have yet to receive our food. Daughter ordered pasta with chicken and I ordered a bowl of soup. 30 minutes. Thirty minutes. I've asked the waitress to please check on our food and I got a perfunctory "yours is the next coming out." Which I find humorous, like they only cool one order at a time. Anyway, I'm getting a lot of avoided glances and quick fly-bys of our table. Our food has come, 34 minutes after ordering it. My soup is so desperately salty that it is inedible and my daughters pasta is fine. Nothing special, but she's just so happy to have food in front of her. So I guess the moral of the story is don't go here if you want a quick meal. And don't eat the soup if you are watching your salt intake. read more

Extremely poor service and restaurant lacked cleanliness. We were seated in the bar area and could see sloppy conditions behind the bar. The staff was too busy socializing with each other rather then attending to the customers. I was given silverware wrapped in a dirty napkin. I asked to have it replaced and the server obliged but it took 30 minutes and two more requests before I was given a new set. My food was delivered before I had a clean napkin! Our server was polite but never came back to the table to ask how our food was or if we needed anything or if we would like another drink. After we finished our meal she ventured over to ask if we wanted dessert but we refused. She left saying she would bring our check and again neglected to ask if we would like another beverage. The kids begged to go since we had awesome experiences at Ruby Tuesday in GA and FL on our trip to/from FL. My wife's comment, "I feel like we're in a completely different chain restaurant" said it all. The queso was really salty the shrimp were heavily breaded and cooked too long and the Long Island iced tea was all out of balance. In summary: slowest service ever. Took over an hour to get food. Not recommended. I knew we were in trouble when we got seated and didn't see our server for 5-10 minutes. When the hostess wandered back by we asked her if she could please send a server to our table? The server then showed up, did her spiel about drinks and appetizers. We ordered drinks and declined appetizers. It took another 5 minutes to see her again, and upon her reappearance with drinks, she once again asked about appetizers. We again declined and ordered our entrees. We then didn't see the server at our table for approximately 20 minutes. I did see her very occasionally at other tables, but even then it looked like she was moving abysmally slow. We had to practically beg for refills on our drinks, and obviously saw no signs of our food. We did manage to get one set of refills. When somebody got up from the table to hit the restroom, we weren't too concerned about them missing the food, and we were right. It took over an hour from the time we were seated until the food showed up. The food had obviously sat at the kitchen for a while prior to making it to our table. Everything was luke-warm. It looked as if it had been prepared satisfactorily, but the wait time prior to getting to us wasn't helping any. The server dropped the food off and then ran off without asking if we needed anything else like refills, condiments, or extra napkins. To get our check we had to ask a manager, because we didn't see the server again. We spent 1.5 hours there, and I suspect we could've sat longer if we hadn't aggressively pursued that check. I don't expect 5 star food/service/ambiance from a Ruby Tuesday's, but I do expect some semblance of service and decent food. We got none of the first and only some of the second. I won't be returning to that restaurant again. There's a Cracker Barrel right up the street that has to be better, because it certainly couldn't be any worse. read more

This Ruby Tuesday location is one of the best. The hostess smiled and took us to the table. William was our waiter and Greg the shift manager. The air has a freshness making for a good ambiance. We were promptly greeted by William who has a superb attitude. He smiles, spoke clearly and listened to our conversation. Our drinks came quickly and refills offered at appropriate times. He gave us ample time to review the menu making suggestions. We were not "rushed" as turning the table did not appear to be a priority (getting us in and out quickly). We were allowed to relax. After the meal and before the dessert Greg introduced himself and was interested in our level of service. The meal had value. We had an entree with two sides and dessert. The dessert will blow you away. Ample portion to cap off a wonderful time. The salad bar was fresh, clean and fully supplied during the height of the busy evening meal hour. I've been to a lot of Ruby Tuesdays. This one should be set forth as an example for others to follow. A good attitude is the key to a businesses success; they have attitude (a good one). read more

When you walk into restaurant you notice the 97A from NC health dept. Took 10 mins to get greeted and seated when they were empty at 6:30 on a Sunday night. Got seated and our waitress seemed like she had better things to do. Seemed to be annoyed. We received our drinks in a timely fashion however one guest ordered half tea/ lemonade, it tasted like pure water. She then asked for a water and looks like waitress dumped out her glass and put water in it as you could still see brown from the tea. We ordered our food and came out fresh n hot. Thank goodness, however my son's shrimp was under cooked. During the stay our waitress was never around. Management and other staff were hanging around front door. There were items to tend to i.e. cleaning door glass as it looks like it hasn't been done in days, bathrooms look like they haven't been serviced in weeks. (No toilet paper in stalls) some stalls littered with tp and urine. Take it for what you will, but I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

We stopped here while traveling from SC for a "quick" bite to eat. I typically never patron chain restaurants like this, but we had been driving for four hours and our options were super limited...The place was empty, so we were seated fairly quickly, but getting our food was another story. We all ordered a salad bc the salad bar skeeved us out, which should have been the first sign to leave. The second sign should have been the DISGUSTING bathrooms. Doors were broken, there was unflushed feces in the toilet, the baby changing table was down with dirty balled up tissues all over it, the hand soap was so watered down that it wouldn't even lather! Some of the worst conditions I've ever seen. As for the food... YUCK. I couldn't even eat mine. The lettuce was so limp, my grilled chicken came out and was freezing cold in the middle and the dressing was so watered down that when I added it to my salad, it slid off the lettuce and just pooled up in the bowl. I wish I had taken a photo, but I was too focused on trying not to vomit in public. Our waters and teas were brought out in these cheap, disgusting, plastic mugs with cracks all over them. They didn't look clean at all. I wouldn't even put my mouth near the mug. Additionally, I picked it up to look at my water and there were black chunks floating in it. The waitress was really sweet and I know she isn't the cook, so I want to give her some credit for being personable (hence two stars vs. one). Outside of that, this was disgusting. Me and my family stopped over in NC on our way to NY. Ordered Ruby Tuesday for pick up and found out once we got there that they forgot to put in our order. While we waited, the bartender and managers apologized to us constantly and offered us free desserts and drinks. Then when our order finally came out they gave it to us for free! Five burgers and two side salads for free and the wait wasn't even that long. Great customer service and the food was good too! Will stop by again if we're ever in the area. read more

Wonderful addition to the local food choices! Poke Bowls are refreshing and relatively healthy. You can choose salad or rice base, and a few selections of fish. Choose the sauce and they mix it for you. Lots of toppings to choose from. You can select from pre-arranged menu items or make your own. The price is a bit on the high side but the food is fresh. The texture of the Ahi tuna is too mushy compared to what I got in Hawaii but that is the case everywhere around here. The decor is very nice nautical theme and refreshing. We've always enjoyed eating at Ruby Tuesday restaurants in the past, so we were surprised to get inedible food, and 'couldn't care less' service here in Roanoke Rapids, NC Awful food....BBQ chicken salad (tough, inedible, cardboard like chicken) and ribs (lukewarm, tough and anything but "fall off the bone", as billed in the menu). We (politely) sent back both meals, and got bemused, confused looks from the waitress (Joy) as if we were martians with 3 heads saying 'take me to your leader'. We asked to speak with the manager, whose attitude was just as...err...'laid back'. With (again) a bemused, "WTF" look on her face, she gave us 'apologies' and 'sympathy' that sounded like rote answers from the Corporate playbook for responding to dissatisfied customers. No empathy, no real concern that we were calling her chef unprofessional for sending out such awful food. Went across the street to Applebees, and had delicious salmon and perfect (real "fall off the bone") bbq ribs. This restaurant severely impacts the Ruby Tuesday brand. I see other reviews on Yelp, and also on Trip Advisor, that reach the same conclusion. Hopefully the QC dept at Ruby Tuesday HQ reads these reviews and can take action to protect their brand - I think it's an anomaly, but this place in Roanoke Rapids significantly impacts the brand and their corporate reputation. read more

With limited options for sit down restaurants to eat in Roanoke rapids, my bf and I decided to eat here. We were seated promptly and the sever took care of us. Service with her was a 4/5. She was very attentive, gracious and polite. In regards to the food it was okay. Ordered the chicken baja taco and it was surprisingly tasty. This meal was one of the dishes that included the soup or salad bar. Salad bar was alright, it definitely needed some cleaning up. Overall, this place is alright. An okay place to stop by if you're passing by on I-95 or staying here. Place is a little dirty and has that weird smell of cleaning products. read more

Worst location ever! As soon as we entered I knew we were in for a long night. They close at 10 and we came around 8ish. The restaurant was far from busy but looked as though a tornado blew through. Trash and food all over the floor and wait staff that looked to have cared less. We were seated at a dirty booth that still had trash left in the seats. The host must have caught my look because he quickly went to clean it. Service was minimal, which was expected. Food was not good at all. My shrimp and chicken pasta was cold, my toddler hated his pizza, and my friend's salmon and dirty was over cooked and fries were old. $50 of a waste and not the slightest apology for inconveniences we experienced from the food. The WORST WAITER EVER!!! His name is Corey F. I told the waiter that I didn't like cold French Fries, and told him he could bring my fries out before my burger. He said he would not do that. And he assured me that the burger will be cooked first and then they would drop the fries. When my plate was brought out to me - you already guessed it...MY FRIES WERE WARM TO COLD. I didn't tell him to take the fries back (cause I don't send food back '- I don't trust kitchen staffs anywhere-hair,spit etc) So, I asked for some ketchup...15 minutes later still no ketchup. He comes back and my sister never got her meal. my mom changed her salad. And when he came back, my mom said, you never brought her her food. He said sarcastically, I DIDN'T BRING HER HER FOOD...YOU DID NOT SEE ME WAITING on that large table over there. IT TOOK EVERYTHING WITHIN ME NOT TO SAY ANYTHING TO HIM. Then he ask me would you like me to bring you some fresh fries with ketchup. I said No thank you. I had to wave him down to get the check. instead of him asking how we were paying...he brings the check and have all 4 of our orders totalled together!!! WHO DOES THAT!!! then be said how would you like them. DUH!!! Separately. I gave him my card and after i signed it I circled the amount and we left 1 PENNY on the table for him He really missed out because for breakfast we went to Cracker Barrel this morning and the waitress was Awesome and we gave her $20!!! read more

I like Ruby Tuesdays in general and this met my expectations for the food and the service was excellent. They weren't busy and I was seated promptly and my server was prompt and courteous. Amber was my server. I started with a taste of a seasonal beer and then ordered my regular Yuengling in the large size (20 oz) for an extra $1. I should have ordered the extra large (25 oz) for another buck! Went with my usual half rack of baby back ribs and fried shrimp. The shrimp were properly fried and I like their cocktail sauce - just the right amount of horse radish in it! The ribs literally fell of the bone when I cut them. Only complaint is the cook poured extra sauce all over them. It's tasty, but it should have been on the side so I could use it as necessary. I scraped some of it off with my knife. I would definitely eat here again. Not gourmet but tasty and properly priced. read more
