I really was debating about posting a review because I wanted to give the restaurant the benefit of doubt however I'm here to tell the truth. Party of four to begin with: The salad bar was great, lots of veggies to choose from. Fresh lettuce and fresh toppings. However, the entree wasn't so good and I was a little disappointed because we love Ruby Tuesday. The fried shrimp was ok, golden brown and crispy. However, the fries were cold and the new limited corn dish was terrible. The picture looked great but when they brought it to me. It looked like they got the corn from the salad bar and placed it on my plate. It wasn't, hot and it didn't have the cilantro nor the lime juice in it. So I told the waitress that it wasn't what I ordered. They brought out another supposedly corn dish (that was featured on the picture). The corn was very greasy, still no cilantro, they added lots of green onions (to many) and I could barely taste the lime and still no cilantro. My opinion. I think they got the corn off the salad bar, added some green onions and a little lime juice. It was terrible. Not so sure if we will try it again. It's up in the air.... hmmmm. read more

I ordered a ribeye steak for take out but that's not what i got. I called and spoke with the manager and he insisted that they gave me what I ordered. I have been going there for years and pretty much order the same thing. Some days are better than others but today was the absolute worse. Be sure to check or food before you leave. My husband and I love Ruby Tuesdays! Their salad bar is the best around and there is so much variety on it! Crab cakes are amazing which is my favorite entree there. I've been to this unit several times over the last few weeks since I've had to travel and this is the only place around. I know I can go elsewhere but my hotel is right across the street so I can have a few beers and just walk back. Anyway, this place surprises me. Being in a town that doesn't sell beer after six, Night #1 I ordered some beer, food and some cocktails and they ran out of whiskey. Night #2 I ordered a chicken sandwich that was sold as having guacamole on it but they were out of guac. Night #3 I ordered a pork chop with onion rings and a side of chives / green onions (to compliment the pork) and the kitchen manager (or someone) came out of the kitchen and screamed at the bartender about "someone wanting some f***ing green onions AND ONION RINGS????!!". Night #4 I ordered a cajun ribeye rare (that looked delicious on the menu) that came out well done and looked like they had forgot to use the Cajun spice while it was cooking and kind of sprinkled some on, on the way to the bartop. I was in town the other night and stopped by for the usual and ordered a particular glass of liquor and.... they had just run out. I'm not saying it's the worst joint in town but they don't seem to be very prepared being one of the only ones around. The green onion thing is still cracking me up. read more

Went here the other day. I ordered the pimento cheese crispy chicken sandwich. It came with fries. The meal was delicious. This place is nice inside and spacious. There's a bar and salad bar when you walk in. This place is located right next to a Marriott hotel so it's great for the people staying there or even just to go in general. Hands down the worst meal I've eaten out in a long time. Snow storm forced me to dine at this place attached to my hotel. OK, my expectations were low because it's a chain restaurant attached to a hotel, but this was so bad. I ordered the Cajun rib eye. Literally three bites of meat, the rest fat. I mean, chunks of thick white greasy wet fat. The rice was completely dry and tasteless. The zucchini was the best part. The waitstaff was good. Friendly and attentive. And so I tip for them (not the corporation). Sitting in the bar, I see the bartender is really good too; and folks at the bar are enjoying their drinks. Lots of tv's, and pretty darn good atmosphere for a chain bar. The waitstaff and bar are good and NOT deserving of only two stars; it's those two stars that bring up the good from zero. It's just that awful meal that some bean counter ordered at corporate headquarters. Tell you what, cut out a couple commercials and use the money to buy a slightly better grade of meat. Man, I hate giving bad reviews. My dad LOVES Ruby Tuesday. It's his go-to birthday (or fathers day) dinner restaurant. We typically visit the one in Phillipsburg (and it's wonderful) but due to some family moving east, we met up at the Somerset location instead. YIKES is all I have to say. This food was incredibly salty.... and I normally salt things. My sister will eat 99.9% of things, yet left her plate full. My dad did not enjoy his meal, I did not enjoy mine, and my other sister did not enjoy hers. We all tried each others dishes to make sure we weren't insane lunatics, and sure enough, each was worse than the last. We took home boxes of leftovers and fed it to the dogs. Service was great. Beer was great. Company was great. read more

I went prior to Edward Y.'s review thank goodness or I would have been sketched about going. Yikes. Anyhow, Ruby Tuesday was able to accomodate a group on a few hours notice. Went here with a large group and we sat at a large table between two rows of booths perpenicular to the salad bar. The set up was fine but you could only talk to who was near you so it is like having multiple tables anyhow. The people in the booths probably weren't too thrilled because it gets noisy set up that way. Oh well you don't come to RT for a quiet intimate dinner anyhow. The restaurant was pretty clean including the restrooms. The service was ok. She forgot my first drink and later refills but I waited patiently. The food was pretty good. I enjoyed the simple salad bar a lot. It was nice to make the salad my way. Everyone enjoyed their meals and visiting together. read more

This place is okay...I've from the West Coast and we don't have Ruby Tuesdays so I kind of expected more. Staff is great though, they are really friendly and attentive. Food is ahh okay. I figured with the prices food would taste a bit better. I got a "Asian Salmon" which really is salmon cover with sweet and sour sauce. My son got the chicken sandwhich, which didn't taste right. This place is more then just burgers - it's got a great sports bar or dinning area with a diverse menu - awesome salad bar to Salmon with mashed, or a dynamite turkey burger, to their choc lava with the most unbelievable strawberry sauce - dont forget to ask for extra? Rating a restaurant based on its burger menu is ludicrous. If you cant put a piece of ground meat between a bun and make it passable, you are in trouble. Ruby Tuesday on Davidson is passable but in trouble. The food is inedible to mediocre (tempura string beans fried in clumps with heavy uncooked batter, chicken tacos, dry...wife had to send the unchewable steak back) the service iffy (waited too long for service). Maybe it was a bad day or unfortunate menu selections. The drinks were good. For a 50 buck lunch we expected more. Not going back again. read more

Pleasant and positive staff With all this hopla about demonizing mega-burger joints and the fawning over also unhealthy "high-end" burger joints, I was very pleased to see the Burger selection at Ruby Tuesdays and have to say it's quite good. I often frequent this location during lunch breaks at work. I hate to complain being that I was in the restaurant industry for 5 years, but the service here is absolutely awful. While it is not busy at all during my time there, it takes a long time to be greeted by my server and a long time for me to receive my food. I can't even pinpoint this to a particular server as this happens with every server that has ever waited on me. I have given this restaurant a chance, but after my visit today I am going to go elsewhere during breaks. I return late to my desk every time I eat here and I am right down the road. read more

Horrible service! I ordered a simple soup and salad and never got my salad. My waiter never came back to the table for me to even tell him he had forgotten it. They then offered it to me after my fiance was already done eating his meal. I had them take it off the bill which they did, without any apologies. Will not return. If there was an option to give zero stars that is what is give. I've been staying in a hotel close by and am stuck here because of hurricane sandy. I've come here 3 times because there aren't many options available due to everything being closed. I sat at the bar all three times and have to say, anyone who gave this place more than 1 star is either being nice or probably works there. The service is beyond horrible. 3 different bartenders same result. You have to call out to them I you want a drink and hope they hear you. The bars not full nor are there a lot of drink orders coming yet they're scramblin like eggs to pour 1 beer and forget about ordering food. Trust me on this,,, go someplace else to eat!!! I stopped here on the way home from Pennsylvania with my wife and daughter this evening, as we were getting hungry and needed something soon and this was the only choice we saw in an area of NJ that we aren't familiar with. I have not been to a Ruby Tuesday in about 20 years and if this location is any reflection of what I've been missing then I'm glad I haven't. The food came out quite fast, which is nice. They gave my daughter crayons, and that's nice too. Nice ends there. I ordered the chicken avocado sandwich. As I went to take a bite into it, my nose caught an odd off putting smell, almost as if it was cooked in an unclean bathroom. I dissected the sandwich to find the culprit, and it was the bread. Th chicken was very very salty and otherwise flavorless and quite rubbery. My wife ordered a pasta dish with chicken in hoping that my daughter would eat it instead of the Chuck E Cheese-request pizza that she got from the kids menu. Ultimately, my wife found it inedible and would not let my daughter have it either. I can eat anywhere, or at least I thought I could. Even at the worst of places I have found something I can tolerate. This food was truly awful. My suggestion is to keep driving if you're in the area. read more
