Mixed Gyro Platter
Michael S.

Food is solid. Flavored well, not loaded with sauces, good quality of meat being used in each dish I picked up from here a few times and sat down once. When I sat down there our waitress was very polite and brought out sides of the white sauce for us without even asking Inside is best described as an American middle eastern set up. Eating there reminds me of eating at a Chinese takeout restaurant. Not as common as takeout so the set up isn't fully meant to accommodate that Get over here and try it

I have been here a few times it's hidden in a small strip mall in south bound Brook . They have quite a few large tables . We decided to bring our friends this time there Probably was about 17 of us. We all placed our orders at the counter and they give you a number to place on the table. They have a pretty large menu so it might be hard to decide what to get !! Platters, salads, sandwiches. We got the Kebab sampler and a few other things. The kebab platter was delicious full of flavor and a nice size portion. The hummus is a must try it was very smooth and great flavors . They also have some great baklava so if you live in the area or just driving through I would stop in and give them a try .

Very tasty and authentic, generous portions for the price! Easy to park, open air seating, good for lunch or taking out the family for dinner. Will definitely be back!

My coworkers wanted me to try this place because they said this place had amazing food. Customer service: They seemed very friendly and organized. Volcano Burger: The meat tasted a bit different but not my type of food. the fries that came with it had some kind of spicy sweet sauce and it tasted delicious. Chicken Gyro Platter: The chicken was cooked all the way and tasted good with the soft pita bread. I can do without the lettuce and tomatoes. It had a white sauce on it, I think it might have tasted better if it had hot sauce or ketchup instead. The French Fries: It had white sauce, mustard, and some kind of spice. This was a mixture of tastes but it was very good. Overall: I think the best thing about the food right now is the the french fries with the mixture of sauces. I will be debating if I want to try this place again or not.

DELICIOUS! I got recommended this place to be amazing gyro. I love Halal Guys so I was doubtful, but this place is actually better. I got two gyro combos. They will ask you if you want the raisins/carrots with it. If you like the sweet combo with your salty dish, I would recommend it. I am not a fan so next time I will pass on it, but it was good to try. Get extra white sauce. You won't be disappointed!

The customer service is horrible. Placed an order through yelp the combo gyro shows the gyro and soda. I received my order with no soda and was told I have to go through yelp. Why are they taking wrong orders, over charging then yelling at customers considering I even left a tip to go pick up the food. Never ordering here again.

Their bread. Served in house.

Went in with my crew. Ordered a bunch of stuff. And this is how the bread came-in. I showed it to the cashier person and all she did was apologize and take it away. We were already done with our food so hopefully we're not sick tomorrow. God knows what else was in the food.

Who doesn't love a kebab every now and then? I was introduced to this gem by my lovely dining partner who raved about the food here. We visited on a Friday night after a visit to Cyclone Brewery and the placed was packed! Definitely a good sign on a Friday night. I ordered the lamb chop kebab entree served with rice, veggies and a side salad. This proved to be plenty of food which I easily hate half of, saving the rest for lunch the following day. The restaurant staff was friendly and delivered the food super quick given how packed the place was. The cool thing about Kabab Paradise is that they also have a lot of American food including burgers, cheese steaks, subs, and quesadillas for your friends who may not be as adventurous. I would love to revisit and order the beef kufta or a gyro the next time I am in the area.

Had some lamb chops and they were cooked to perfection. Can't believe they're so close and i only been here once. Safe to say I'll be back often!

Left: Website photo. Right: What I received

Disappointing rice has no peppers carrots and raisins I called and they said I needed to enter a note asking for that. How would I know that - since the picture had it shown with it- looking all good and tasty. I called back to see if my husband could stop by for the correct rice - he asked Did you eat all the other rice? WOW. I said no because it isn't how I like it. They said if he brings my plate back to show I didn't eat it they'll give me the proper rice. TERRIBLE customer service. I will not order there again. My husband was in SBB right around the corner from them why would I make him come to BB then head back to SBB to prove I didn't eat the wrong thing they sent. They treated me like I failed to order the right thing and then treated me like a liar and here I am eating $26.00+ service fee for an order that tastes nothing like what I asked for. But it was the rude treatment that made this the LAST time for me.

Dirty place. Bad food. Wouldn't return. Also they don't seem to be too kind to the kitchen employees.

How are the portions?

The Mixed Gyro platter is huge. Each time I get it, I think I should save some and each time I finish the entire thing because it's so good.

Besides the classics fried seafood and hot dogs, they're also doing chicken wings, cheesesteaks, pastrami sandwiches, even a half-chicken with fries. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The foot-long delivers and the regular dogs are fine, if not a little salty. The chicken wings are great, but I always get them naked and then dip in sweet chili, sriracha,Nashville hot, bbq, or another half-dozen sauces. I had the half chicken there and enjoyed it. My mother was happy to find a place still doing fish and chips around here, and we got it several times. The fries are crinkle cut, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside and kind of addictive. The whitefish fried filet is not bad, but the fried shrimp steal the show. Those are crunchy and also a bit addictive. Hard to eat just a few. I would go back there just for the fried shrimp. The hush puppies are the lowest point: too dense and dry. They also do burgers there but I haven't tried those yet. Overall, good experience there, the chicken dishes are the standouts.

Occupying the space previously…read moreknown as The Office Bar & Tavern, 22 West is a nice, casual tavern setup right on Route 22 with a solid-looking menu featuring a wide variety of burgers, sandwiches, and entrees. I recently met a friend at 22 West for a few drinks and dinner. We got there at the tail end of Happy Hour and enjoyed a couple of locally-produced draft beers. The food itself was perfectly okay -- nothing mind-blowing, but decent enough for a casual bite. We shared a dozen chicken wings and both thought they were pretty good. I had a turkey burger and french fries -- which was well-executed and filling. Looking at their website, it seems as if they've changed up their menu since my visit late last month.. but, I'm not sure I'm going back to try it again because the service really dragged our experience down. We sat at the bar and the staff behind the rail barely paid attention to us and seemed ambivalent about our presence at best. The biggest issue for me happened when I went to the men's restroom and found the soap dispenser completely empty. On the way back to my seat, I mentioned it to the hostess so it could be addressed by the staff and asked if she had any hand sanitizer. She just told me it was her first day on the job and she didn't know who to ask about either. Leaving a restroom without soap is bad enough, but a front-of-house staff member completely brushing off a basic hygiene issue because she didn't want to find a manager is just really bad customer service. It's a convenient spot with decent pub food, but they definitely need to tighten up their service and basic restroom maintenance.

The service was friendly, and the food came out extremely quickly. I felt we were being rushed just a tad, but not a huge deal. For appetizers, the falafel ($7?), Mantu ($8?), and bholani cadu ($6?) were ordered. Regarding the falafel, there were five to an order. The falafel was very crispy and had decent flavor. I thought they needed a little more seasoning present. The Mantu were Afghan style dumplings filled with ground beef, onions, and seasonings. It was garnished with homemade mint yogurt and lentil sauce. This was light and soft with tons of flavor. The dumplings were filled appropriately, and the lentil sauce was a pleasant addition. The bholani cadu was a thin fried pastry filled with butternut squash and seasoned with fresh herbs and spices. This was interesting. The wonton was very crispy. The squash filling was sweeter than I thought, but still tasty. I also might add all of the three sauces provided at the tables were good, with the cilantro one being my favorite (cilantro I believe anyway). For my entrée, I had the lamb shank ($38?). It came with a soup, salad, a choice of rice, and naan. The soup appeared to be a lentil soup. It came out hot and was very pleasant. The salad consisted of tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers. It was prepared nicely as all the pieces were small and a good size portion. The simple dressing was great too. The lamb shank came with a few vegetables. The lamb was extremely tender, but not much meat was on the bone. There needed to be a little more seasoning too as it was lacking. I am just glad the lamb was so tender. I went with the Kabuli rice which had steamed carrots and raisins on top. This was fluffy and flavorful with a ton of it. The naan was okay, a little too crispy. I also tried the lamb chops. They had an unreal cook on them and seasoned well. I also tried the zamarud rice, which was good too. For dessert, the rice pudding ($8?) was ordered. It was creamy and filling. The nice crunch from the pistachios on top was a good addition. Will I go back? I would, yes.
