I went here yesterday with my mom to do the buffet while we ordered a seafood boil to go. Crazy enough as we went up to get the plates for our food there was roaches coming from the food area! We told the manger Wendy and stated we no longer want to eat here and would like a refund for the seafood boils we were waiting for THAT NEVER CAME YET. After being refused a refund we exclaimed that we'll call the health department... WENDY GLADLY told us that "we are allowed to have roaches as long as they're not in the kitchen" well okay.. This buffet doesn't disappoint. I love the friendly and attentive staff. Plenty of tasty food options too. I typically start with shrimp cocktail then sushi then I eat a nice meal. You could also daily overeat here but I try not too. Today I did great. I am pleasantly satisfied and ready to continue holiday shopping h. The ambiance is chill and relaxed. I never felt rushed to leave. What I did notice right away is my server greeting me and asking for my venerate choice. She returned immediately with it long with plenty of napkins l, a roll of silverware (a butter knife would be great to have) two bowls for shells etc. she checked in addition on me several times during my hour lunch. She know I was done and asked could she take my plate which she did a couple of times since I usually eat a variety but small portions so I use at least 3 plates. When I left the hostess asked how was my meal and I told her delicious as it always is. My aunt frequents this buffet and wanted to take me when I was in town. I was a bit skeptical but I have to say, it wasn't bad. I would even say it was good. Now this is not gourmet Chinese food. But for a Chinese buffet, they had the bases more than covered, and nothing I ate was bad or in any way unfresh. -So one of the showstoppers is the cold peel and eat shrimp. They were fine. Fresh. I had a bunch of them. -There are soups and salads but I skipped those to save room. -There's a sushi bar in the back, with a small assortment of rolls and nigiri. I had a smattering of things. All were OK, none were great. The best one was the spicy tuna. But this was at least passable sushi, and I did not feel like anything was not fresh. I will say the larger rolls were so huge I had trouble fitting the whole piece in my mouht. -Other standouts: the fried selections were great, from eggrolls to cream cheese wontons. -The dessert bar was decent... and the cream puffs were good. Ruby's was a four star when they offered Stone Crab. They switched to blue crab and they are small with barely any meat. The rest of the selections are better than most buffets. The salad and fruit section is actually better than other buffets. My favorite up until they switched the crab. read more

We paid about $30 for a pound of snow crab, potatoes, and corn. We ordered the ruby sauce. The boil was tasteless. We were disappointed. The buffet area is small. It was clean. This was a great buffet. My family and I went to this restaurant at night, an hour before closing. We thought that we would get microwaved food that was horrible, as well as terrible and rude service. It was the opposite. First, when we entered, we entered through a somewhat sketchy-ish spot, which was odd. But the interior looked amazing. Then, we got the food. The food was great. There may be some complaints with it, such as some dishes being oily or hard, but it's not too bad. Most of the food was only a bit warm, but that was expected, as it was only an hour before closing. The desserts were also pretty good. The service was incredible. They treated us with such hospitality that I thought I was at my grandmother's house again. They even tried their best to speak English, and they don't speak the best English. I think that their price is reasonable, about 20$ a person. I also think that their 20% surcharge if you waste food/leave food on your plate is a good thing. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would love to return. read more

In one word I'd call this place "average." For two adult buffets and one soda it was $39. I wanted sushi and my boyfriend wanted options so this worked for us. My buffet rule of thumb is you walk around once, pick out a little spoonful of what looks most interesting, then come back for a second serving of the best options you found. About half of the dishes were pretty good, about half of the dishes were OK, a few were NO GO, PASS, NO, IMMEDIATELY NO. Surprisingly, I loved the u peel shrimp - medium sized, easy to peel, and tasty once you added the cocktail sauce with fresh lemons squirted in. The fresh sugar fried doughnuts were a great way to end the meal. They ask that you wear plastic gloves (provided) to serve yourself, and only maybe half of the people followed the rule. We were at the guitar center- seen this place and figured we wanted a quick bite with no wait. I don't by any means have high standards for buffets, but I do expect it to be a little more evaluated than the Chinese take out in north Philly lol. This place falls under that standard. First off, they raised the price to $17.99 for dinner plus $2.99 for a soda. Then they wouldn't accept the 10% off coupon that I printed from their own website. They only take coupons cut out of magazines. Then they didn't have some of our favorite foods that they used to always have every time, like garlic green beans, mushrooms and crab cakes. Then we asked for a glass of water with lemon and got it without lemon. Ridiculously good deal. Nothing fancy but plentiful seafood AYCE buffet. Had crawfish, crab (Dungeness), snow crab legs, and even sushi and sashimi. Also hot and sour soup, roast duck and even prime rib (admittedly my slice was a bit dry). My favorite was crawfish, salt and pepper shrimp, and the roast duck. We are regulars here only because my two picky kids love it and they have ice cream machine. They charge us a different price every time and the servers are super pushy about the tips. They will stand directly over you and watch you write the tip or dig for cash. They also try to steal tips from each others tables. It's been awhile since I've been back here. But u gotta say since I was here they renovated it. It looks much better. The selection of food was really good too. They also had a nice amount of veggie options to pick from. We got here alittle before 12:00 so all the food was full and warm and they were making sure to fill them if they were getting low. Staff was also nice and didn't Hoover around you like at some buffets. They kept their distance but would check on you when needed. I will definitely be coming back to this location because the food was very fresh and priced nicely and the place was very clean and neat. It looked really nice compared to when we came before. Came in today to dine in with my family of 9, spoke to manager and privately informed her I recently had bariatric surgery two months ago which strongly reduces my eating ability to eating only a few ounces before getting extremely full. Requested if I could possibly get a take out container to pay for the 4 small spoons that I am only able to eat, instead of paying $15.99 per person which I obviously wouldn't be able to take advantage of. I was fully prepared there was a possibility that my request wouldn't have been honored, but what I wasn't prepared for was her condescending tone when responding back to me. She shook her head and loudly said NO, she will not allow it because I will run to the back to get seconds when she's not looking. And that I should've THOUGHT about that before choosing to come to a buffet!... I felt absolutely embarrassed at how she responded to me and I will never be back again. There was no food set up so I asked the worker where is the food so she ignored me and went back to the kitchen. I didn't have time for this so I left disappointed.
