Very blah to look on the inside so much so that I didn't even take pic of the inside. If you are looking for ambiance , "THIS AINT IT". Order your food and leave. They have a couple of table sitting on the side but it isn't very inviting so fast forward and get your food and leave. I have been here a few times. The food has been okay. I mostly like the whiting because it is fresh, I don't have to get my hands messy, or make my house smelly from the fried fish and grease smell. The fish is light and tasty just like I like it with a crisp. They have sides like string beans but they are canned so I skipped that experience. They also have mac n cheese, and more. It you can't do better or don't feel like cooking "soul food" well then you can get there sides for a quick fix. I happy with getting my fish. They are relatively quick and seem clean. They are not much for communication but they make sure to say thank you. That's it for now.

Definitely a solid place for food and with good prices. The fish is always hot and fresh and the Turkey wings are tender a must try.

Great soul food. Great prices! I'm sure they own E.C Fish Market as well food & menus are very similar. Both are worth checking out if you are in search of good soul food & seafood

People love this place ... I say that because we were there late afternoon during the week and it was busy ... and it kept getting busier. I do understand why folks love it tho, because there's no other real seafood "shack" in the area specifically where folks can get their blue claw crabs. It truly does look and feel like a seafood shack because the wooden walls, brown paper on the table, paper towels on the table and overall decor scream "We are at the beach in a small southern town in the middle of nowhere where" lol Our server was great! She was very attentive and made recommendations... she was also very patient with us given that this was our first time here and we're a bit undecided on what we wanted to order. Now on to the food - this is honestly where I was underwhelmed. The broiled seafood had a whisper of flavor, the crab cake left a lot to be desired and the garlic buffalo shrimp were overwhelmingly buffalo sauce on top of fried shrimp. Now the clam chowder I had was amazing and I even ordered some to go. My friend enjoyed her crab legs meal overall and perhaps if we visit again that's the route I'll go. Oh and it's also a BYOB , so, be sure to grab your favorite bottle and bring it on in.

It could definitely have been split so he lied.second of all it was a little gritty and not as clean as I would like, the bathrooms were disgusting. The corn on my platter was old and inedible. The clams were rubbery and tough. You do go to the counter to get your food yourself, but I figured they would clear the table for us, especially since I tipped them $10 but as I was walking out the door, the counter guy yelled at me." hey you need to throw away your trash!" it was very embarrassing, and I had neatly piled my plates and trash so that it was an easy cleanup and I figured they would have to wipe the table anyway, but now knowing how nasty it is in there, they probably don't wipe the tables. I do not recommend nor will I ever go here again. To top it all off I spent more time in the bathroom afterwards than I would like.

No filler!! Something was off with the coleslaw. It came with two little containers of coleslaw. Mine was really good. Maybe a little sweet for my taste but breaks up the fried food. My husband kept asking me if mine was sour and tasted spoiled. And I kept telling him no it's great. No problem. After he ate some of his he asked me if I wanted the rest. Omg his was horrible. We were immediately seated and our server arrived a few minutes later which was nice bc it gave us time to peek at the menu which is extensive but it was really fun because it's an actual little newspaper which was cute. We ordered the crab dip and a mango martini for me and a blood orange margarita for him of which all three were really good! So much crab dip that we took 1/2 home. And the bread and veggies they serve it with both hit! Entree wise we both ordered items we felt would tell us all we needed to know regarding whether or not they were a legit seafood restaurant - a fried shrimp basket and a broiled combo platter .... BOTH AMAZING! The fried shrimp were MASSIVE and the broiled platter was well seasoned and cooked wonderfully. We had no room for dessert but the menu sounded great. Oh our server was also wonderful! Whoa....settle down other reviewer......one star? Yikes. Granted, this isn't French Laundry, but…read moreit's decent seafood at a normal price. Let's break it down: JUST finished my meal from here. First of all, this place is new, and that's why its zinging the way it is. I literally had to leave last saturday when I was standing in the line that was outside the door, and found out that it was an hour before I could ORDER, then another before I'd get my food. Nah. SO, we decided to try a Wednesday, and although it was better wait wise, it wasn't by much. I still had to wait about 15 minutes to order, than an hour for the food to be ready. (Luckily I live close, and just went home until they called to tell me the food was ready. Something they do here, which is appreciated.) About the food; a mixed bag. Some good, some "meh," some bad. The Good: - My steamed platter (snow crab) was good. Nothing to write home about, but a tasty meal. It came with a cluster of crabs, 3 jumbo shrimp, a few red bliss potatoes, some broccoli and carrots, and a piece of corn. All of that was cooked in a creole butter garlic sauce, and then seasoned with some old bay type creole seasoning on top. The crabs were cooked properly (no flimsy shells), the shrimp were good, and a very good size, the potatoes, broccoli and carrots were also fine. - Collard greens were pretty good. - The sweet potato cheesecake was actually really good. I'm not sure it's almost $4 a slice good, and I have no idea if they make it or buy it from say, Costco, and then put sweet potato puree on the top, but it was tasty either way. The Meh: - Crab cakes. A lady in line Saturday told me that she was BACK to get the crab cakes again, as they were "the best she's ever had," but that lady must have never left Willingboro NJ. They weren't terrible, but they were small, not actual lump crab meat, and they were slathered with this sweet brown sauce that really took away from the taste. - Although the creole garlic butter sauce is good, I could've used a little bit more seasoning. - Serving sizes are a little stingy. The collard greens and fries were a little lite. The Bad: - The corn was POSITIVELY INEDIBLE. I was about to give it to my dog before my wife asked to try it, and she was instantly upset that she did. It was mushy and absolutely gross, but this is a common problem with crab boils when it comes to corn. - The side of fries was gross. One, for a large, it was a small portion, but that was ok, because they weren't worth eating anyway. I think the fries, and they way they prepare them might be ok, but it was obvious that our fries had been sitting out for quite some time. You know how a fry tastes after you have them bag up your burger at a restaurant, and you try to reheat them to eat the next day? Yeah, that. They also come with some creole seasoning whether you like it or not, so there's that. Overall, I'm not MAD at the meal I had, but I won't be in any kind of rush to go back. The people working there seemed really nice, and I did appreciate that they call to let you know your food is ready, so you can go do something for the insanely long wait that you currently have to endure. Again, they are BRAND new to this location, so maybe they'll get in a groove, but as it stands now, I'd say skip it for now, because the wait is no where near worth the food you'll get at the end of it.

Wait time to place an order was 45 minutes and prep of food was about an hour. The customer service was appropriate, however I am undoubtedly disappointed in the quality of the food. Not only was the wait (2 hours) overbearing but the product that was served was subpar. By the time I got home and realized what I received it was too late. Attempted to call however no one answered. Moreover there wasn't a website or email to reach out regarding the lack of quality quantity of the food.

Seated almost immediately in a covered outdoors area with a break taking view of the water. The music played lightly in the background tables are adequately spaced apart setting is both practical and upscale so you feel like it's a fine dining experience even at 1 PM in the afternoon; Hostess and wait staff dressed appropriately, but did not have the air of arrogance that most do. Food was appropriately proportionated for price point, complex in preparation/seasoning but staying true to simple essence of the dish that reminds of us home or Nona. Cáprese salad was good 4/5 (tomato type and minimal glaze) but still enjoyed, Paperdelle Beef Stew 5/5 was ORGASMIC, affogato desert 4/5 wasn't on the menu but Alex made it happen and it was everything I needed, and tiramisu 4.5/5 light fluffy not flavored cake but balanced flavorful very good! Highly recommend you're looking for phenomenal Italian food paired with a breathtaking view, look no further. The ambiance is stunning, but what really made my trip was the exceptional service. ALEX was my server not only did he initially accommodate me in a whisper as a phenomenal lasted too long, allowed me to peruse the menu without feeling pressured, was attentive without being over bearing, and most importantly he ANTICIPATED my needs, rather than waiting for me to ask! He is an asset to this restaurant but whilst I brag about my server each of my interactions were exceptional from someone near the bar directing me to the restrooms, the busboys, bread deliverer, etc. see the manager making rounds to other tables ot answering questions about delivery. Their Cajun quesadilla is delicious and it does have a nice little zing. Their traditional wings are amazing and their beef stew is delicious and very hearty. We have tried many of their specialties. The Hail Mary is a delicious Caesar salad on top of chicken cutlets and their Broccoli Chicken Cheesesteak is amazing. I recommend you get it pressed on the grill and that way it won't fall out as you bite each delicious bite. I would say 80 to 90% of the visits that we have had at this amazing establishment. The portion sizes were generous; both my burger and the Cheesesteak Deluxe were large enough that we brought leftovers home from both entrées. Cons: Unfortunately, the drinks were not good. I ordered a Downeast Cider on tap and it tasted like the line may not have been cleaned recently. My companion ordered a cosmopolitan that was essentially undrinkable--extremely strong and not well balanced. We later learned the bartender is new, so hopefully that improves with experience. The wings were also served cold, and the Jammin' burger came out without the bacon jam that's supposed to be a key part of the dish. The restaurant itself is also very tight quarters. If you prefer more personal space or feel more comfortable in places where it's easy to move around or exit quickly, this may not be the best spot for you. Overall: The staff was very attentive and clearly tried to make things right after several mistakes occurred. They comped our soda, appetizer, and dessert, which we appreciated. However, given the number of issues during one visit, I'm not sure we'd return.
