A really great atmosphere. They did a good job of transforming an old service station into a restuarant. We visited on a chilly rainy day, but when the weather is good they can roll up the glass garage doors to open the place up to a nice patio with a huge fire pit. The food was good. We had the Coney dog, garlic parmesan fries, and the crab cake sliders. The sliders came with mango chutney and the dog came with house made chili. All of it was really good. We also got a glass of house red wine and a draft beer for a total bill of $43. Perhaps, it is a tad expensive, but the food was good. Simply put ... AMAZING! We couldn't wait to try this place on our recent trip to Seaside after reading the reviews. Ruby's definitely did not disappoint. Friendly and attentive staff, nice and open concept seating both inside and out, great selection of music being played and last but not least the food - DELICIOUS! Really neat environment. Gas station converted to indoor/outdoor restaurant. They have garage doors that can be opened for lots of fresh air in nice weather. They also play good music! Not sure why people whine about the parking. It's not difficult, even in a mid size SUV. We had the regular and deluxe breakfast burritos and were quite happy. My buddy had the combo breakfast with eggs, smashed potatoes (baked, smashed, deep fried) and bacon. He really enjoyed it! My coffee drinking friends really appreciate that Ruby's serves Sleepy Monk coffee. Breakfast prices were very reasonable! I'll attach photos of the menu. read more

Great Customer service, nice open and bright environment and decent food. (They have only been open about 2 months so maybe reviews will get better as they work out the kinks) Their homemade chili had good heat with lots of beans. I asked for a BLT which wasn't on the menu but they made it without any problem and it tasted great. I would prefer a different mayo, theirs was a bit thin, but not a deal breaker. I LOVED my vanilla milkshake!!! You must at least stop by to enjoy the HUGE fire pit and a beer or milkshake. Finally made it to Ruby's this morning & were happy with our meal & experience. Our kids shared the sliders (you get 3 small sliders) it was perfect for our kids to share - wish it came with fries. I had the breakfast burrito which actually came with 2 burritos - it was super tasty but the pico (which was very tasty) had a lot of water in it which left juice dumping out of the bottom of my burrito - maybe get pico on the side or ask them to drain it off a little. My husband has biscuits & gravy - it was also tasty. Prices seem good & olive the potential for eating outside. Can't wait to enjoy the summer outside by the fire pit. read more

As Seaside locals, we anticipated this opening for a couple months. We sure could use a great, juicy, messy burger joint in town, unfortunately this is not the place. My husband and I waited a couple of weeks after opening so some of the kinks could be worked out... no such luck! Stood in line to place our order-the cashier was so distracted with what was going on next to her that in the middle of us placing our order she walked away to get involved with the hoopla going on at the end of the counter. Anyway, she comes back and finishes taking our order. $25 for two burgers and two small fries, no drinks. Name is called, went to grab our tray and it was completely wrong. Finally fixed, we dig in. I ordered my burger medium well and I received a burnt, way to well done, almost inedible, hunk of meat. I was super hungry so I choked down what I could and gave up on the rest. Hubby says his burger was ehhhh... The fries may have been good if they weren't mixed with a few fresh fries and stale fries together in one basket. I'm a server so I'm a lot more patient about service and food mistakes, than most people and I was so aggravated by the time we left. We haven't decided if we will give it another try yet. read more

We did know that the restaurant closes at 9:00pm but truly did not expect this "greeting". Though the location had a nice meadow view and a cool restaurant design in an old gas station, the food was mediocre and service was horrible. The bun on my burger was soggy and greasy plus the fries seemed store bought. The crew behind the counter were clearly lacking experience since my order took 45 minutes for a single burger. The burgers are okay, but my wife and I got Turkey Club sandwiches and fries today and both of us ended up getting ill for the rest of the day. Also, I called up and asked if they were still brining food out to the car for takeout orders during the pandemic and the woman agreed, but then refused to bring it out once I got there. I told the woman I was trying to avoid going indoors for my family and she told me, "Yeah, in today's day and age I'm not going to bring your food out to you". I'm a vegetarian, my husband is not. Dinner isn't usually too difficult, but lunch can be darn near impossible sometimes. Ruby's was absolutely fantastic. I had a veggie burger with mushrooms, onions, and Swiss cheese. It was absolutely delicious. My husband had the Cabo burger, which he said was excellent. We shared an order of garlic fries w/out the mozz. cheese, and the waitress hooked us up with some sriracha ranch dipping sauce...soooo good. Counter service was fantastic and very friendly. This has got to be the best place in Seaside to eat. The atmosphere is very welcoming. The ladies at the register are very friendly and efficient. This place amazingly covers my kids picky eating habits! One wants pulled pork all the time and other eats chicken or hot dogs. I loved their crab & corn chowder and they have crinkle cut fries (only disappointed with my family that wouldn't share chili cheese fries with me). We picked a great day to enjoy the roll up doors opened and my kids loved cornhole in the grass. And I love dogs so that's a no brainer! And Ruby's ale was great too. Had the Seasider, a couple baskets of smashed potatoes (one with gravy), the flash-fried Brussels sprouts and a Good Girl ale. All very tasty and prepared with care. In particular, we loved the sprouts! There was a nice amount of bacon and a tasty mustard dress. Burgers were flame grilled and had a pleasant char to them. The Good Girl ale was balanced between malty and hoppy and very tasty. I could see myself picking up a growler of it. Also, there's a huge firepit that's supposed to be up and running in another week or so. The place was busy and staff were in training, but everybody was in good spirits. I liked that they converted a gas station into a burger place but i wasn't thrilled with the food. I ordered a low carb burger cooked medium and it came out charred to the point it was burnt and instead of lettuce wraps it had small pieces of lettuce which made it impossible to eat without a fork and knife. When they heard how my burger was cooked they willingly cooked me another patty which was uncooked. I'm hoping i don't get sick from eating that one. I'm just wondering why a cook would deliver a burger which was obviously not as ordered. My husband's chicken burger was good but his tomato soup wasn't good. So i have mixed feelings about this place and with so many other restaurants in Seaside i'm not sure i 'd return. read more

Just enjoyed a late lunch at this wonderful establishment. First, they are embracing the dig friendly vibe and we couldn't have been happier with the dog truths on our beer glasses, the dog menu and overall welcoming love for pups! My boyfriend and I were looking for a place for dinner that was sit down yet not fancy at all. We went here for dinner and needless to say we ended back for lunch the next day. For dinner we had burgers that we finished in just a couple of minutes. For lunch, the BLT and the Pulled Pork sandwich was to die for. Been here a few times. Food is always good to great. Stopped for coffee Sunday evening and the back wall of doors/windows was open to a view of the meadow with path to the river. It was a marvelous visual experience! The cashier/order taker seemed a bit stressed and there was a lot of confusion regarding orders. We tried the horrible, stale donut with ice cream and chocolate sauce and were glad to have the truly delicious oatmeal cookie as backup. read more
