    a taco truck
    Austin C.

Their prices are comparable with other trucks, but I felt like the flavor was lacking. It was also nice that they had things that most others not like seafood. I ordered Tripas tacos ($3), seemed like the meat was more fatty that anything and simply not much flavor, sorry to say. Maybe it was an off day? I mean I am always down to try places twice just in case. Also ordered carnitas tacos ($2.50), which again were ok but seemed flavorless. Nothing really special to it, no seasoning, nothing. Also ordered a carne asada taco ($2.50), which again was just ok. Didn't have much flavor to it and nothing special. Last but not least also ordered a shrimp burrito, shrimp was cooked well, but again...pretty plain. Felt like no seasonings were added, just tossed on grill and thrown in. The best part, at least for me, because everyone is different. I like that they use corn tortillas versus flour. Gives the taco a little crispiness, which you don't find at a lot of places. I will go back to try again, like I said just in case they had an off day but for now...it's down the block to my usual.

Chicken tacos with extra pickled carrot!

My favorite taco truck! I've eaten a lot of tacos in my life but Ruddy's has to be #1 in my heart! And belly! Soooo good! I will forever keep coming back here. I took my Mexican taco aficionado girlfriend here and she loves it. We love the carne asada, pollo, and pescado tacos. The salsa they put on it is HOT. You can tell a good taco when they use the good corn tortillas, which this place does. I always get a side of Mexican rice to go with my tacos, which is *chef's kiss*. Make sure you ask for extra pickled carrot and lime. Service is always friendly. Park in the nearby parking lot and eat your tacos and watch the beautiful...view...of El Camino Real. LOL.

$5 credit card minimum. Glad that they accept credit card! At 8pm on Monday, they were out of shrimp and fish. Too bad! I got three tacos -- asada (beef), pollo (chicken, and carnitas (pork). $2 per taco. My favorite by far was the beef. They didn't ask me if I wanted regular or mild chili. If they had asked, I would have chosen a milder salsa verde, or no chili at all. I would only come here if I was really craving fish or shrimp tacos (and Marisco's was closed). Otherwise, I prefer Fluffy's, which is 12% cheaper and also has a super taco option. Most of the day, they are next to Chili's on the West side of El Camino. In the evenings, they move to the east side of El Camino next to an empty lot.

My new fascination is to try food delivery apps. Once a week, I bounce around between EAT24 and UberEats trying out different foods from the comfort of my hotel room while traveling. This time, UberEats won the contest with Ruddy's Taco Truck, and I was the ultimate winner. I ordered === Carnitas Super Burrito [$7.25, 4.5 stars], Barbacoa (Shredded Beef) Taco [$1.50, 4.5 stars], Rice [$2, 3.5 stars], Beans [$2, 4.5 stars], Chips & Salsa [$2, 2.5 stars], and a Soda [$1.25, 0 stars]. All for $16.25 + tax. Why the ratings? === The carnitas burrito was super fresh with the carnitas fried on the grill for just the right amount of crispness and crunch; the barbacoa taco was a packed soft taco that was super lean and delish, the rice was fresh but had an off-taste that I didn't like, the pinto beans were made from fresh and super tasty, no salsa came with my order (booo) and no soda (thus, 0 stars). Meanwhile, I scarfed it down and it really solved my craving. Like I said, I was the ultimate winner...and scored!

The burrito tasted like straight garbage, for a super burrito it did not seem "super" it lacked a lot of flavor. The cashier was also pretty rude, he gave a lot of attitude and threw a can of soda back into his fridge when changed my mind on what can of soda I wanted. Overall. Terrible customer service and shitty food. Don't even waste your time. Trust me my spouse and I are not picky at all and we hated this place! La comida fue un asco y el servicio al cliente una decepción, no vengan a este lugar! Si no quieren ir a trabajar y atender al cliente mejor quédense en su casa !

An easy to find taco truck located on El Camino Real in San Bruno. They are usually parked on the Chili's side however depending on parking they sometimes move across the street. A popular location for the business park in the area, and definitely convenient when it comes to walking or parking. A little further away from the Bart Station and Tanforan mall by walking however for those that work within the vicinity or happen to be around with a car - it's pretty easy to reach. Peak hours are definitely the lunch hours start from about 12-1pm. They take card and cash. A taco (non seafood) is $2 per tacos, whereas shrimp or fish would be $2.50 per taco. You can order a side of guac or salsa for extra - however it costs about $2. The tortillas that they use are corn tortilla so definitely a great option if you are gluten free. I like to order 4 tacos - shrimp, fish, chicken, and steak. My least favorite is the fish- which is grilled. I much prefer fried fish tacos, however that is not an option at this location. Usually I'll pay about $8.50 for 4 tacos (1 of each - shrimp, fish, chicken, steak) and a side of guac. The guac is pretty good - however the size is pretty small. Overall, I definitely would say this is a great option based on budget, and convenience. You can find parking usually in the Chili's plaza nearby.

6 tacos going clockwise carne asada, barboca, carnitas, camarones, tripa & lengua

Lets just say it's cheap and you will get full, the guys that run the truck are really low key, they use a yellow pad to take your order and calculate everything via calculator, $1.50(regular meats) if not $1.75(seafood) this is just for the taco's. Honestly if you can't make a taco right what makes you think the rest of the dishes will be made correctly. So here is the low down on what I sampled and what I recommend. choices of meats that I sampled al pastor - marinated pork, usually the pork shoulder carnitas - lightly season pork butt carne asada - lightly seasoned beef barboca - season beef chuck tripa - beef tripe camarones - shrimp lengua - beef tongue I would order all of these items again, winners for me would be the carnitas, carne asada & camarones, the tripa was not really to my liking, other places I get this from have a different prep, here it seems it is more of a flash fry then light season. the lengua was also full flavored texture wise it was good, compared even to actual restaurants good. The wife ordered the carne asada tacos and the al pastor - all smiles no sadness when biting down =) I did notice some of the tacos were oilier then others but you can't really complain since your getting tacos that are $1.50 if not $1.75 each ordered 10 tacos, chips and salsa total was $14 can't beat that tacos **** if in the area and on a budget definitely place to get something quick and it will fill you up, depending on how many you order price $ service **** quick ambiance um yeah they are a food truck so you are outside

Two shrimp tacos and two fish tacos. ALL WERE AWESOME!

"Great hole-in-the-wall Mexican near SFO airport"…read more Came here for dinner at 6pm on a Monday night, based on good Yelp reviews. The place is unassuming-- has a thin stretch of outdoor seating and a handful of tables inside. Not super bright in lighting, and a TV inside was showing a baseball game. Seemed like a lot of the business was takeout, as people would come, hover, get food, and leave. I was GOING to order the fish tacos or a fish quesadilla, but I was swayed by the picture of a breaded fish plate special. My son got the carne asada quesadilla, and others at the table got a veggie burrito and a chicken bowl. Food came out pretty quick-- maybe around or just over 10 minutes (the fish plate and veggie burrito came out slightly after the other two). I was very impressed that the fish plate looked even BETTER than the photo (see photos of both). The fish was HUGE. There was a generous helping of guacamole, lots of fresh avocado slides, some onion and cabbage, etc. There was a nice bed of lettuce on the side with sour cream over it, and the rice & beans (covered with a thin layer of cheese) on another side. The fish plate was just delicious. The batter wasn't overpowering or too heavy, and the fish was excellent inside (and very flat). I really liked the sauce in a little cup on the fish, or having it with avocado or guacamole, or even straight. The rice and beans were yummy too. Such a great dish, and it was under $20 before tax and tip. My dining companions all liked their food, though my son said the carne asada meat was "just good" (he had a bite of the chicken and said that was better). The person at the register was friendly. And as mentioned, the prices were very reasonable. I'd happily eat here again if in the area. Great portion size, great quality, good value, etc. Enjoy!

The burrito had potatoes, but they weren't french fries. They were boiled potato strips. Kind of somewhat annoying when that's what I was looking forward to.
