Was driving on El Camino Real and saw the red taco trailer on the corner in front of the paint store. It's in the parking lot. The truck looked familiar and I determined it could be related to the Tacos Al Vapor in Burlingame by the car repair shop. Order a bunch of tacos and also their regular quesadilla. They were out of carnitas and lengua unfortunately so I could not try all the tacos. Liked: - chicken quesadilla (good mix of cheese and meat) - tripe tacos - chicken tacos - BBQ pork tacos - carne asada tacos Friendly and fast as well. I will be back to hopefully try the other tacos next

Hit them up again today. I usually get the Al Pastor burrito, but they were out. Lucky me, they had Carnitas and I had not tried them here yet. Mind Blown ! Damnit, there were sooooo good. The Carnitas were juicy, flavorful and crispy. You can't ask for more than that. Also, the rest of the ingredients were deliciously fresh. It's official, this is my new carnitas super burrito truck! Unfortunately, I did not get to snap a picture, because it is already in my stomach.

I assume they run out of meats after a lunch rush because that seems to be a common theme according to the seldom reviews and my own experience. I got to the truck a little before 4pm and they only had chicken and pork tacos left. So of course, I ordered a few of each. They were tiny, under seasoned, and needed more time on the grill. Definitely not something I'd make my way for. I'm hoping I can try other things on the menu. But even then, I'm hesitant because the flavors were just not there. I may give it another try one of these days.

I've always passed by this small taco spot and wanted to give it a try. I hardly ever see a line so I wasn't sure if it was going to be good or not but I had to find out myself. I ordered 2 carne tacos and 2 Al pastor. It looks like they use hand made tortillas which is a plus but their meat wasn't as flavorful as other trucks I've been to...carne was thin cuts and Al pastor seems like I can get it at the market and make myself. The mild salsa she gave me was very watered down as well.

I've been having such terrible luck with Mexican restaurants lately, so I decided to give this food…read moretruck a try. I ordered the tostadas de ceviche, shrimp tacos, and quesabirria tacos. Based on some other reviewers claiming they were overcharged, I paid close attention to the total. In my case, I was not overcharged. The prices listed at the time of my visit were $13.75 for the tostadas de ceviche, $6 each for the shrimp tacos, and $4.50 each for the quesabirria tacos. The tax charged also appeared consistent with the expected 9.25%. Unfortunately, my experience raised some serious food-handling concerns. The first thing that caught my attention happened before I even received my food. I watched the woman who took my order step out of the food truck, walk over to a pickup truck, and retrieve something from the back. I couldn't clearly see what she was getting because she seemed to make an effort to keep it out of my view. She used her apron almost like a bag to cover whatever she had picked up before returning to the food truck. She then looked at me and smirked as she walked back inside. Almost immediately afterward, I heard her and the cook begin preparing the food, including seasoning the birria and shrimp on the grill. I obviously can't say exactly what she retrieved or how it had been stored, but seeing seafood apparently being brought in from the bed of a pickup truck was concerning. Seafood needs to be kept at proper refrigerated temperatures, and from what I could observe, I had no way of knowing whether the product had been properly temperature-controlled. Even if it was in a cooler, I would still have concerns about whether the proper temperature had been maintained. Another issue was the handling of money and food. The same person collecting payment was also preparing the food. When I paid with cash, I could see pieces of cilantro and onion still on her hands while she handled the money. Watching someone go directly from handling cash to preparing food without an apparent handwashing or glove change was disturbing and, at minimum, gave me serious concerns about sanitation. As far as the atmosphere goes, this is a food truck, so expectations should obviously be different from a traditional restaurant. The operating truck is parked on the street, while there appear to be two additional food trucks stationed on an adjacent property. That property appears to be a stationary setup rather than trucks parked along the street. There was also one picnic table with an umbrella where customers could sit and eat, which was a nice option if you want to eat there. Now, despite all of those concerns, I had paid more than $40 for the food, so I ate it, and this is where things get complicated. The ceviche was phenomenal. Honestly, I've never had ceviche this good. The flavors and textures were better than anything similar I've eaten recently. The tostadas had an excellent crunch, and the ratio of ceviche to tortilla was perfect. There was enough topping on each tostada that I could get a little bit of everything in every bite. Based strictly on the ceviche, I would absolutely return. The shrimp tacos, on the other hand, were just okay. They weren't bad, but they weren't particularly memorable either. The bell peppers mixed into the shrimp threw off the flavor balance for me. I think the tacos would be better without them, or at least with less of them. The quesabirria was also just okay. I've had better elsewhere, and I was charged extra for the consommé, which was something to keep in mind. So overall, I have very mixed feelings about this place. The ceviche alone was good enough that I'd want to come back, but the food-handling and sanitation concerns I witnessed would make me think twice. The food itself has some real potential, particularly the ceviche, but I'd like to see more attention paid to food handling, temperature control, and basic sanitation practices before I could feel comfortable recommending the place without reservations.

What makes this place so special is not just the food, although the burritos are incredible. They are always packed, flavorful, and exactly what you want when you are craving a really good, classic burrito. The quality and consistency over the years is something that is honestly hard to find. Another thing that says a lot about this place is the staff. Many of them have been working there for almost 30 years, which really speaks to the kind of place it is. You can feel that history when you walk in. It has that true neighborhood staple energy where people know the place, trust the food, and keep coming back generation after generation. For me it is more than just a burrito spot. It is a place tied to memories growing up, and the fact that it is still just as good all these years later makes it even more special. If you want a burrito from a place that has truly stood the test of time, El Super Burrito is it. Note: I love their spinach tortilla burrito option. I like to switch it up because I eat their food so much. Love having the options.

"Great hole-in-the-wall Mexican near SFO airport"…read more Came here for dinner at 6pm on a Monday night, based on good Yelp reviews. The place is unassuming-- has a thin stretch of outdoor seating and a handful of tables inside. Not super bright in lighting, and a TV inside was showing a baseball game. Seemed like a lot of the business was takeout, as people would come, hover, get food, and leave. I was GOING to order the fish tacos or a fish quesadilla, but I was swayed by the picture of a breaded fish plate special. My son got the carne asada quesadilla, and others at the table got a veggie burrito and a chicken bowl. Food came out pretty quick-- maybe around or just over 10 minutes (the fish plate and veggie burrito came out slightly after the other two). I was very impressed that the fish plate looked even BETTER than the photo (see photos of both). The fish was HUGE. There was a generous helping of guacamole, lots of fresh avocado slides, some onion and cabbage, etc. There was a nice bed of lettuce on the side with sour cream over it, and the rice & beans (covered with a thin layer of cheese) on another side. The fish plate was just delicious. The batter wasn't overpowering or too heavy, and the fish was excellent inside (and very flat). I really liked the sauce in a little cup on the fish, or having it with avocado or guacamole, or even straight. The rice and beans were yummy too. Such a great dish, and it was under $20 before tax and tip. My dining companions all liked their food, though my son said the carne asada meat was "just good" (he had a bite of the chicken and said that was better). The person at the register was friendly. And as mentioned, the prices were very reasonable. I'd happily eat here again if in the area. Great portion size, great quality, good value, etc. Enjoy!

The burrito had potatoes, but they weren't french fries. They were boiled potato strips. Kind of somewhat annoying when that's what I was looking forward to.
