Fried fish Taco Plate - 2 Tacos
    Gloria M.

Finally back to enjoy my favorite fried fish tacos, when I'm In The area this is my favorite place. I ordered my usual, two fried fish taco plate. The rice and beans are freshly made. I normally get the black beans, but I was given the refried beans by accident. What a delicious accident, I will be getting these from now on. The fried fish is constantly delicious. They have added more plants and Christmas decorations to the outdoor dinning area. This is a must try if you haven't already. Jr is so friendly and helpful. Just know that the war is a little longer since food is prepared to order. I hope I get to go back soon

In the area and craving flautas. The ones at Mi Durango are filled with chicken and topped with crema and guac, and the plate comes rice and beans. There were 4 flautas and they arrived hot and crispy - good flavor. The rice and beans also had good flavor. Definitely satisfied my craving. Note - Bring cash as there's a surcharge when paying with credit card.

Haven't been in this taqueria for a while now. I came back and was a little disappointed with the food. We got the carne asada plate & burrito. The food wasn't flavorful at all. The beans came out room temp & the carne asada didn't have flavor at all. It's self service in this taqueria. The only good thing is their manu selection, hopefully their other food options was good.

This place is slow making your foods. I ordered 3 tacos, and it took them more than 15 minutes to finished. Totally unacceptable, I had ordered 1 regular taco at the price listed $3.95 and on my receipt it showed $4.20. How dishonest, please change your pricing on your menu board.

I ordered an al pastor super burrito with black beans in a spinach tortilla and a steak super burrito with black beans in a garlic tortilla for pickup. It was ready when I arrived. Quick, friendly service. The al pastor was very fatty and had bacon‑like pieces and some pineapple (didn't care for it), but otherwise the burrito was solid. Steak wasn't bad, but I'd order chicken next time. Would I come back? Yes!

Taqueria Mi Durango is Z's #1 favourite taco shoppe and has been our neighbourhood go-to taqueria for years. On average, we probably pick up food to go from here at least once a month. Venue: 3.5 stars. Located on El Camino in San Bruno, Mi Durango does not have a private lot, unfortunately, but there is a ton of free street parking. Sometimes you can find a spot just steps away from the front entrance. Indoor and al fresco dining is offered here. I love, love, LOVE their outdoor succulent garden in the patio. The main dining is small with just about a handful of tables and a salsa bar. Cleanliness of the interior could be taken up a notch or two. Food: 4 stars. The TACOS are the stars of Mi Durango, if you ask me. And why wouldn't they be? This place is a taqueria afterall. My go-tos are REGULAR TACOS, one each of generous heaps of CARNE ASADA, CHORIZO and PRAWN. They make THE BEST PRAWN TACOs! I also like their crispy FLAUTAS which V also enjoyed until he started to find bits of corn inside of them. Z never strays from his usual CALIFORNIA BURRITO with CARNE ASADA and DJ is faithful to the CHILE RELLENO. Their horchata is also good - no chalky residue at the bottom. Also, if you are ever there when they serve arroz con leche - get it!! Service: 4.5 stars Jesus gives nothing short of excellent, warm customer service. Definitely customer care is high priority here. I was disappointed, though, when we tried to hire Mi Durango to cook and serve onsite for one of our parties. Pricing was too high and they wanted prepayment only in cash. Bummer. Taqueria Mi Durango is quickly becoming a San Bruno staple. We're regulars, so see you there!

After several visits this spot deserves another 5 star rating. It all starts with the friendly service and ends with a full belly. The lengua burrito, is cooked to a tender- melt in your mouth, savory flavor all wrapped in a flour tortilla. The crunchy tacos are another fan favorite. The tacos are covered in their pink salsa that brings out the flavors of the meaty goodness. The floutas are crispy and delicious with their pink salsa and crema served with rice and beans. Not too many places offer a taco salad served in a deep fried tortilla in the shape of a bowl. Usually when I order this salad the only thing left are crumbs. The newly updated interior makes it more inviting and bright. This spot doesn't disappoint. With the many items on their menu, there is something for just about everyone. The location is small but packed with goodness.

I tried their fried fish tacos and it was really good! They pack in tons of fish in the taco. They have a salsa bar to pair with their tortilla chips and dishes. I also tried a bit of their al pastor burrito and it was tasty. There is seating inside and a few tables outdoor.

Mar 8th 2025 - One can always tell a taqueria from its salsa bar You walk in look at this salsa bar - it smells like heaven The burrito selection is uber - you are spoilt for choice with the tortillas - my favorites are the spinach and chipotle - super veggie burrito with black or pinto beans Fried fish tacos for the pescatarians! Chorizo or al pastor tacos for the meat lovers ! Carnitas tacos have a nice crunch Mi Durango - por favor configura la tienda en East Bay :) For folks who like SF taquerias like "El Metate" && "Taqueria Vallarta" - this place is a must !

    Super Quesadilla

Nice hole in the wall spot. There's a tiny salsa bar and a few indoor and outdoor seats. It may be easy to miss heading southbound on ELC. The super quesadilla was thick and quite filling. It is sliced in half and served on a plate. The chips were average but the salsa is great. Horchata is served via fountain. They have Mexican bottled coke make with cane sugar and no high fructose corn syrup. They have some pre packaged cake slices in the fridge as well that looked good.

    Grilled and Fried fish tacos

Thanks to a recommendation in a SJ Mercury article highlighting the best Bay Area tacos, we decided to give this place a try. It did not disappoint! We ordered both the grilled and fried fish tacos, and they were amazing but we preferred the grilled. Each taco was generously filled and served on a corn tortilla, with the fish grilled to perfection and topped with cabbage, lime, and a spicy salsa. While I would have given this place a five-star rating, the service was just okay. We had to wait a while for our free chips from the salsa bar. As we enjoyed the freebies, we realized our order had been forgotten. After inquiring about it, the staff managed to bring our food out shortly after. The restaurant is small with limited parking, but it does have a really cool outdoor seating area featuring a succulent garden. We will definitely be back!

The cups were filled only halfway. The woman (Imelda was the name on the receipt) told Z that they didn't fill the cups up to the brim because of the no ice request. So....does that mean that they fill up cups with 50% ice?? Any way that you look at it, it's CHEAP and a major turn off. For my dish, I ordered the Tijuana Taco Salad ($16.75), requesting to separate ONLY the bowl-shaped flour tortilla shell from the contents (with no cheese). To ensure that they understood my simple request, I repeated to keep the salad contents in one container and the flour tortilla shell separate from everything. What I received was a fully deconstructed taco salad - every salad ingredient was packed separately. Pretty frustrating that they didn't follow the easy and straightforward instructions. DJ ordered the A-1 GRANDE COMBINACION of Enchilada, Chile Relleno and Taco, replacing the taco with another chile relleno and specifying his enchilada as cheese with Mole sauce. Another fail - the enchilada was filled with chicken AND topped with red sauce. DJ is a vegetarian, so what he received was not something that he could eat. Extremely upsetting, Z tried to call them and knock on their door to discuss the issues with our order. No one bothered to pick up the phone nor answer the locked door. Very disappointing. Like I said in my original review, service, even for take-out, is under par at Celia's San Bruno. We haven't experienced such majorly low quality of service at locations #1 through #5 above. Severely unsatisfactory.

The food came quickly, and the elote tots were amazingly good! The combination of tater tots, the corn, and the cheeses (sauce and crumbled) was amazing mix of textures and flavors. The nachos were good, and the pasta with poblano sauce was also very good. The sauce was creamy, with a slight heat, and very different.
