Celebrated my brother's bday here this past weekend. This is his go to local spot so wasn't my first time here and it's typically where we end up at the end of the night. This was my first time meeting Rudi and he's was a treat to talk to while I was outside catching a little air. You can tell he's doing it all for a place he himself would like to come to and that was pretty much the reason he told me he decided to buy it from the former owner's, he did want to have to look for a new bar! Super chill bar on a Sunday night with NBA and Sunday Night Football (sound on) displayed clearly. If you're going to be a sports bar, be a sports bar: love it! The beer was cold and the bartender was nice. And the burger and fries were on point. Will come back.

Good selection of beers here. Service is great, nice folks and fast. Went during a Steelers game and they got a good base of Steelers fans here. Luckily they were all cool when i was there, lol. Ordered fish and chips and probably the best Ive had in a long time. Super crunchy and breaded well with good seasoning. Chips (fries) were nice and thick with the skin still on, Yum. Even the coleslaw was good. I didn't finish it because I was so full but usually the coleslaw isn't good when I order fish and chips at other places, so keep it up! I totally recommend this place for lots of TVs with service that are quick to change channels when games are over and great food. Go Niners!

I'm a fan of any place that plays the KC Chiefs for Monday night football. The bar wasn't packed and we got a seat at the bar and got a pitcher of a local lager. They also had the warriors playing so it was a win win for sports that night. The barmaid had a cute dog, Moana, but my dog was too occupied with his toy to give her any attention. We ordered the chicken sandwich with fries and a side of onion rings, which were a little burnt but I didn't mind it. Not too bad for bar food. Would recommend.

Just like Giordanos Bros with a new name but the same sandwich! So good and the only sandwich like this in town! You will come back craving it! Lost of screens to watch the games, but FYI there has been some noticeable uptick in violence in this bar. Multiple episodes of fights and smashing glass/ pictures. I would not recommend bringing children here.

I see that most of the heat on Rudi's is over the 25% service charge which I understand for to-go orders. For dining in although its a tad high the prices of the food/drinks are pretty low so I won't kill them for it but 20% is far more reasonable/fair. I grew up in Cleveland so eating the overstuffed Panini's/Primanti's style sandwich was apart of my diet from my teenage years. For those who don't know, this style of sandwich consists of Meat, cheese, French fries, tomato and Cole slaw in between 2 pieces of Italian bread. Price points on the sandwich are fair between $12-14 which isn't too much more expensive than in Cleveland currently. The slaw has a nice vinegar on them and the meat has that good grill taste to it. My go to is always getting turkey on the sandwich. A true food coma for many but I devoured this in one sitting. Decent tap list for beers but I had a few white claws while I was there ($6). Plenty of TV's to watch a sports game and look to have Sunday ticket but not 100%. Bartenders weren't incredible but this is the type of spot I like to eat and be left alone at haha. Rudi's is great for anyone from the Cleveland/Pittsburgh area who wants that taste of home in the Bay Area.

I'm looking for a World Cup watch place, new-ish to soccer, raised in Steeler country and now a Bay area GSW fanatic living in the Mission and working at SF General. Thinking about RUDIs?

We are the bar that you are looking for. But I think you know that by now given that you have joined us the last couple of days. Cheers!!

The hours listed say you don't open till noon on Sundays, so does that mean you aren't open for the morning games? (or are those off season hours)

Those are off nfl season hours. Once nfl starts we will open at 9:45am on Sundays. Saturday will depend on interest for college football games. Thanks.

Do they play all the NFL games on Sunday? I'm a Steelers fan and have been there when it was a Steelers bar. My wife is a Broncos fan and both games are on at the same time. They don't answer their phone. Help!

Yes. We show all the nfl games. Steelers and Broncos will be on tomorrow. Thanks, rudi

I stopped by around 4:30 p.m. and there were a few tables where I saw folks finishing up their work day on their laptops with a beer. It's neither overly crowded, nor overly loud, which is perfect for getting work done. Since it was the World Cup and many guests would be camping out for the entire match, table service has a per person minimum spend of $25. This is a really a non-issue because a cocktail is around $15, so two drinks, or one drink with some food, will easily hit this minimum. My wife and I shared crispy pork schnitzel ($17) and an order of their deviled eggs ($12). The deviled eggs were nicely seasoned and included a small salad shrimp on top for some variety. The pork schnitzel was perfectly fried and the potatoes in the included side-salad was well-cooked and not over dressed. I would recommend enjoying the schnitzel with some mustard. Both drinks that I ordered -- an Old Fashioned and a Boulvardier, were well prepared. No notes here. Service here was top notch. Throughout our stay, our server checked up on us multiple times and we never had to wait long to place another order for drinks. Tipping options on the receipt include pre-calculated 18%, 20%, and 22% options (on top of the 5% SF Mandate). Last but not least, the restaurant had clean bathrooms and a bunch of large TV screens on every wall. If you're looking to watch a sports match, Sam's Tavern is the place to go!

By the time we arrived, the kitchen had already closed, but the staff kindly let us know that we were welcome to bring in outside food. The music selection was also really good and added to the fun, lively atmosphere. We stayed until around 12:30 a.m., and even more people were coming in as we were leaving--it definitely seems like a popular weeknight spot! We had a great time and are glad we found The Lark.
