After multiple…read morepast experiences with electricians who overcharged, communicated poorly, or did work that was incomplete or incorrect, working with Nars with SD Electric Technologies was genuinely different. From the start, their communication, transparency, and professionalism stood out. My home was built in the 1930s and still has older wiring with several complex electrical challenges. This was not a straightforward job. SD Electric took the time to thoroughly assess the situation, troubleshoot intelligently, and explain options clearly, which immediately built trust. The level of care, attention to detail, and technical skill they brought was unlike anything I've experienced before. What impressed me most was their ability to find creative, code-conscious solutions on the spot--solutions that other electricians either missed or said were not possible. They successfully ran power from the new main panel to the subpanel, which was not an easy task given the layout and constraints. They also identified smart ways to add several receptacles to support modern appliances on older circuits, all while maintaining safety and functionality. The work quality was excellent, and everything was done with intention and precision. Even the finish work was outstanding--the installs looked clean and professional, and they took great care to minimize disruption. I was amazed by how little drywall repair was needed compared to previous electricians who left large holes and damage behind. SD Electric also cleaned up thoroughly, which says a lot about their standards. Perhaps most surprising was the cost: SD Electric delivered better solutions at a fraction of the price--roughly a third of what others had quoted for less thoughtful work. If you have an older home, complex electrical issues, or simply want an electrician who is skilled, communicative, honest, and respectful of your property, SD Electric is exceptional. I would absolutely hire them again and would gladly provide a personal reference.

TIMELY- Uriel called 30 min before his arrival and then, arrived at the stated time. This is particularly helpful so I can move my bunny to another room with all of his belongings. ATTENTION TO DETAIL - I saw him place a protective cloth down on the floor before he placed the ladder and tools down. I also noticed there was a bottle of cleaner with his supplies. He cleaned the inside vents as well as the compressor on the roof. He also tied off a loose wire/when checking the air handler in the ceiling. KNOWLEDGEABLE and THROROUGH - Uriel did a complete system check and then, he sat down with me to explain what was done and why. He addressed the concerns I had about some of the prior readings in terms that I could understand and shared tips that will help ensure my system runs at its most efficient. Example: A higher MERV doesn't always mean "better" and can actually restrict the airflow. He said that for my particular system I should use a MERV10 filter and change it every 3 months. He changed my filters and then, left me with two spares to use before the fall check comes. FRIENDLY - In the course of chatting with Uriel, it came up that I might benefit from having more filtered air coming into my condo. He made a recommendation for a part that would replace the standalone room air purifier I currently use. He placed this info into the after-visit summary so I can "research it and see if it fits with my needs and finances." There was zero pressure to make a purchase on the spot. And while this next item has nothing to do with the knowledge or ability of an HVAC tech, I greatly appreciate that he did NOT smell like cigarette / e-cigarette smoke or strong cologne as I have a bunny and people in my family have asthma. Thank you, Uriel, for a job well done.

    Same complaint as many others. Brought my coach in for a couple minor issues but mainly the Onan…read moregenerator would not stay running. When it's hot out it will start but then within an hour die. Been happening for about a year, we tested it with the door open and it would run most of the time indefinitely. So anyway when I brought it in I voiced all this too the service advisor. I told him to make sure the mechanic tests it with the door closed because we know with the door closed it's overheating, which is the problem I was trying to solve. They charged me for the technician to look at it and then run it for 2 hours in an air conditioned bay with the door open. So of course it didn't overheat. So they call me and go oh no nothing's wrong. So I question them about it sure enough they ran it under the wrong circumstances. So then the service advisor goes back out turns it back on, runs with the door closed sure enough within an hour it dies. Well long story short almost $700 later they tell me yep it's overheating. Yeah I know that that's why I brought it in, what is the diagnosed issue? We're not sure but we should probably just do a thousand hour service cuz that'll cover everything. Well the generator only has about 850 hours So basically they just wanted to throw parts at it. I can take it to any generator or RV shop and they could do that cheaper than what Cummins would charge. I took it to Cummins for a targeted diagnostics But instead got stuck with a huge bill and no more information than when I brought it in. Second issue of the three issues they fixed.. I have a hydraulic parking brake that's connected to the drive line. They had to repair a hose that was leaking. Well after they repaired the hose they didn't add any of the lost hydraulic fluid into the reservoir. So the very first time I went to put the parking brake on it wouldn't engage. So I'm sitting there at my house trying to call my wife holding the brakes so she can come in hold the brakes so I can go out and diagnose the issue which was the reservoir was low on hydraulic fluid. I honestly didn't bother to call them about anything I mean how can you trust him if they don't even bother to fill up a parking brake reservoir which keeps the coach from rolling away. So don't waste your money going to Cummins thinking they know better, at the 200 plus dollars an hour your not getting any better service than anywhere else.

Even more…read moreimpressive, he personally came out to my house within an hour and a half and quickly diagnosed and fixed the electrical issue. Throughout the entire process, his communication was excellent. He was friendly, professional, and took the time to explain what was going on. It's hard to find contractors who are this responsive and reliable these days. If you're looking for an honest, knowledgeable electrician who truly cares about his customers, I highly recommend Romo. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again and would absolutely recommend him to anyone in San Diego County.

I went with them because their reviews were so good…read morebut the negative reviews aligned with my experience.  TLDR:  - random cancellations, no shows, and no response when trying to reschedule - still has not provided a receipt for my $3000 payment, after having asked numerous times - shady payments via zelle. His bank kept rejecting my payments and I ended up having to pay his wife's zelle account (??)  Long version: Romo took almost 2 months to complete my project of replacing the subpanel, adding a 20 amp circuit, and repairing any damaged drywall. He and his team cancelled/ no showed on my tenant more than 5 times and was super unresponsive when scheduling. My tenant had to live in a home with holes in the walls for almost a full month before it was finally repaired. The business operates very shadily. I have asked for a receipt for my payment numerous times, and he still has not provided one. I had to pay him in 3 separate transactions via zelle because his bank kept rejecting my payments. I'm not sure how this business has a 4.8 rating on Yelp, but will not be trusting those reviews from now on.
