On the day of the job, Eddie and Ricky arrived on time. When they got started, they noticed a critical safety issue: the main line installed by the previous homeowner was not up to code, and it was a safety hazard. They gave me an updated quote, which I accepted, to replace the main line as part of the job. The work was done in a couple of hours, and SDG&E replaced my meter the same day. Not surprised to see 5 stars! Here's a review to add to that In short I have a disaster of a house I bought 3 years ago that was a flip ( if u know u know). Needed tons of electrical. They replaced the main panel, fixed in wall wiring issues for old wires and breakers that would short out bc it was too much on one circuit (for example the hair dryer being used in a bathroom would short out the breaker if someone used the microwave....sigh). They installed outdoor electrical to both a hot tub and a free standing island kitchen bar. Both of these projects were logistically difficult due to my recessed yard down a flight a stairs and my breaker box panel at the other end of the house and upstairs. Electrical work is not cheap but I see why. Theses guys were fairly priced. Not the cheapest but not the highest prices. Communicated well both prior to appointments and during the work to ensure I understood what needed to be done. I hope I dont need more electrical work but if I do, will use them again.. read more

Way over priced. I've had them out for a few estimates and they charge double and triple the price of any other electrician. I went with other electricians for the jobs they bid on. When I sent them a question regarding the job they bid they stated they would not work my project because I canceled an appt due to work. Won't answer questions. They don't give you the bid with the permitted price. This was a job that is suppose to be permitted. I wouldn't do an electrical install without a permit. They should be pulling permits on jobs that need them without the owner requesting. I had to request a permit to be added. The original job did not come with a permit. So they applied for the permit without even knowing if they could run the line and do the job. They sent me messages continuously about moving forward and I told them their price was excessive. Why don't they put the whole thread of the text messages in of me asking about adding a permit and them repeatedly asking if I was ready. My response of why is their pricing so excessive. I was very disappointed with my experience with SRP Electric. I found them online and they were recommended as an honest, reasonably priced electrician. Unfortunately, they were niether based on my experience. I had a loose wire in one of my outlets which was causing an outage in a portion of my house and they tried to sell me on a complete panel replacement costing $12,000 - $13,000. I asked if they could just check the wires and the breaker and I was quoted $2,800 for that. I ended up getting another electrician to come out and give me an honest assessment and they found they loose wire and fixed it for $100. They also confirmed that a complete panel replacement was not necessary. I would not recommend SRP Electric for any service read more

Grant came out (I was not home) he called and gave me a quote for $1600 and $1200 for two different options to solve the issue. Grant took care of the coordination with SDGE and when installation day arrived, SDGE showed up promptly to secure power and remove the meter. SDG&E informed me I needed a new meter pole with a new breaker box installed. I called SRP and spoke with Steve who I believe is the owner. I told him my situation and he assured me they were very familiar with the process of approvals and permits needed and they have done many meter pole replacements. He sent out Rudy to look at the job site the next day, and later that day after checking with a few other companies I went with SRP. Later that day I had a contract in hand.
