    Chicharron Platter

Get ready for this one. In my opinion, you know it's a good authentic street taco spot/ Mexican street food when it's hole in the wall vibes! This place is located inside a Chevron gas station! Was kind of skeptical at first because the options were nothing I've seen before but then again I haven't been to enough to know. Anyways, order some street tacos and a chicharron platter. The tacos come garnished, just fyi. So if you don't want like cilantro ir onion, let them know. It was all sooooo delicious. I would definitely come back for more. For service, you order and pay up front and they bring it out to you. For the price, it's actually affordable for a large portion. Definitely check this place out. Till then, let's eat!!!!

The food is fire here, the the Azada tacos are really good, and the flour quesadilla is great! The employees are nice and kind while taking your order. The ambient is clean, and the customers are kind. #Yummy #Delicious #MexicanFood #TacoTime #QuesadillaLove

Gas station taquerias for the win. Tucked in the back of the chevron gas station is Rudy's kitchen. A taco spot with the best gorditas I've had. Very authentic flavors and made fresh to order. I didn't even need salsa, just a squeeze of lime and the seasoning was perfect in the al pastor gordita. They were out of a couple items so bummed about that but overall a good experience. There is also some seating, as well.

Tacos were alright for the price the chicken taco was super dry, Carne asada was actually pretty good, The Cabeza was tender but needed a bit more seasoning, the chicharon wasn't really my style but I still thought it was okay, and the pastor was aight. Biggest thing is I got charged for more than what the website and the menu stated, so it knocks them down another star.

    Pollo and birria tacos

Humble tacos from humble folk. Ingredients were fresh, tacos were hot and delicious, authentic. Great service and friendly faces. We had pollo, birria, and an elote cup (esquites). The pollo had a good kick and the birria was tender and juicy. The elote was interesting with a good spicy cheesy flavor. It is inside a Chevron but don't be discouraged by appearances. It was great value for good food!

BREAKFAST TACOS REVIEW ONLY. Food: These tacos are filling. I got two and honestly I could've gotten away with just one. Two reasons why I'm not leaving a five star: lack of breakfast tacos choices & there's not any depth to flavor or texture - it's just a basic good breakfast taco. I really did like the tortilla though. Service: Quick & friendly.

Some of the best gorditas and tacos I've EVER eaten. This is a hidden gem! Definitely will be coming back often

I ordered the gordita platter which comes with rice and beans. The gorditas were incredibly greasy and they were blandly seasoned. There was nothing special about the rice and beans. The salsas were okay. After draining the gorditas, I had to use several more paper towels to absorb some of the remaining grease. It is hard to find good authentic Mexican food in Frisco, TX.!

I'm originally from Chicago then AZ the El Paso so I know what good menudo is! Aside that there isn't any homely this is as close to a great Menudo there is at this time. I've tried their other items on the menu, but what brings me back is always the Menudo!

This is the best Mexican food in Frisco. The owner Rudy is one of the nicest, most humble, genuine dudes I have ever met in my life!!! Love this place. Plenty of seating including tables & booths inside a Chevron Gas Station.

The photos make it look very lively and fun so imagine our surprise at happy hour on a Friday walking into an entirely empty restaurant! Two couples inside and a couple guys drinking on the patio. We still decided to stay because we were hungry and the place itself is super duper nice and cute! We opted to sit at the bar where we were kindly greeted and two TVs playing football with no volume (which I love)! The barstools were very comfortable as well. Ordered two of the BEST margaritas I've ever had with the gran marnier! I now want all my margs made this way. No need for a second! For food, the enchilada verde and the taco lunch plates were pretty dang good. No complaints there and the servings were reasonable and not too much from the lunch menu. No leftovers. Really enjoyed the verde. Chips and salsa were something to write home about! Amazingly toasted and crunchy, I should have asked for a bag to go with just those chips! Very good! All in all, the staff was too kind and it happened to be my friend's birthday so I "snuck away to the restroom" and told our waiter and he surprised us with a perfect tres leches slice that was absolutely delicious! For lunch and margs I spent $65 and he treated us with that dessert and I felt like that was so sweet! Thank you team at Lalo! You guys were great and I now actually like that the restaurant was slower at the time but I do hope they pick up because it was a great place for us! Enjoyed very much and if we are ever back in the area we will stop through.

Be courteous if you need to change or cancel your reservations. We were seated in one of the smaller rooms, which was great! We had good service even though they were extremely busy. We came here for our favorites that we usually order at their other location. The frozen mango margarita is thought of fondly. While it was good, it didn't taste quite as good as I remember it in the past. A very faint mango flavor, it tasted like a plain frozen margarita with orange coloring. It was disappointing since we looked forward to it for so long. The chips are always delicious. We ordered the chicken fajitas for 2 with no onions and they brought us combo chicken & steak fajitas for 2. We just ate it and took home the leftovers. They brought us a container to pack up and processed our tab quickly. Overall, a good visit with a couple of small opportunities for improvement. There are not enough parking spaces in their parking lot! We had to park next door by Academy. We parked far from the store as to not take away parking from Academy shoppers.

The food was excellent, and that's the reason I'm giving more than one star. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the food. Our waitress was inattentive throughout the meal. After our appetizers, she never cleared the table to make room for our main course. Other servers ended up bringing both our appetizers and our entrées because she was nowhere to be found. Eventually, the manager noticed our table was still cluttered and came over to clear it himself. I even had to ask him to find our waitress so we could get the check. The final frustration came with my child's meal. I ordered a kids' Coke, and the waitress told me it came in a can, so I said that was fine. When the bill arrived, I noticed I had been charged extra for the drink. When I questioned it, she explained that only fountain drinks are included with the kids' meal--not canned drinks. That information should have been explained when I placed the order so I could have made an informed choice. Instead, all I received was a quick "Oh, sorry." The food was truly delicious, but the poor service put a damper on what was supposed to be a special birthday celebration. I hope the restaurant addresses these service issues because the kitchen is doing a great job.
