Like most dog owners, we used to go to the local groomer down the street and after a few experiences, we'd go looking for another one. Then go look for another one. Then go back to the first one. And alternate between the 4 nearest depending on our schedule and how they were doing and etc. After explaining my frustration to my fellow dog owner friends, we were highly recommended to check out Ruff Haus Grooming and we are so glad we did because we finally found a grooming home for our little fur baby! From the minute our fur baby arrived, the owners were so very nice, warm, and patient. Our baby is not the most "friendly dog" especially to strangers especially when he knows we are at the Vet or at a groomer but Ruff Haus Grooming team was so loving, he eventually let his guard down. The best part? It's like that TV show Cheers! They remember us, remember our baby, and remember how we like his cut, and etc. America was built on hard working small family businesses like this and I'm so very happy for them. He was groomed so well my wife asked the groomer if he could cut my hair LOL! I usually talk to the groomer (Kevin) who is the master groomer who is amazingly gifted at what he does. Very straight to the point peronsality which i love. I don't have time for small chat: I'm usually in a rush to drop off the dog so I can go play golf or pickleball! My wife is the one that schedules everything and takes our baby to grooming and usually talks to the lady who I believe is the wife: she's the very friendly and outgoing person who my wife usually interacts with. As reasonably priced as you'll find in the industry and for dollar for dollar, this is as good as it gets around here. We drive 35 minutes each way and it's worth every dollar and minute! read more

I have been going here for years, tried many different groomers before and no one beats Ruff Haus. They listen to my preferences for my dog's cut, remember every detail, and always take care of her. I'm pretty picky and no one else is able to style my schnauzer like they are able to. (See before and after pics ) This is a family owned business so they deserve the support and all the $$$ tips! Edit: I see a lot of the bad reviews complain about the owner (they're probably keen to the exhausting yappy fake bubbly types) but in my experience he's blunt and straight to the point, no BS, and is in the zone focused on his main priority -- his work! Please read all the one star reviews prior to taking ur pup here. I came to use the self serve pup wash. Upon walking in there was the worst odor, sour dog hair smell. All the self serve equipment, brushes, bath, shower sprayer, towels, combs were covered in old dog hair. Does the health department not regulate dog facilities? Kevin the owner does have a bit of a careless attitude for running a business. He is not really engaged. I worry about all the dogs who come in and leave with an illness or parasite. So disappointing as I really wanted a local self serve dog wash for quick clean ups. I'll keep shampooing in my shower. read more

So I've actually going to this location for my dog's grooming for years!! However, after my recent visit I notice my dog isn't able to fold one of her ears for some reason so I called them and talked to whom I believe is the owner, Kevin! First off, let me tell you he's super rude to customers but his actually grooming service is good, well up until this last time I too Lucy for a full groom service! I asked him what was done to the ears and at first he seemed quite defensive as he always is and then he said they just do the routine cleaning and also mentioned that sometimes due to the weight of the hair on the dog's ears, after a haircut the ear could stay up like this due to some tension or something which honestly to me seemed bs and a made up thing as if that was really the case then I would assume both ears should be the same not only one of them!! I've gone to this location multiple times and had never experienced such a thing after Lucy's grooming visit to Ruff Haus, but see for yourself in the attached image!! I've taken her to the vet but it doesn't seem like the vet could figure out what was wrong or possible misunderstood me, so I would have SPEND more money and take her to another vet visit which shouldn't even be needed if the staff or Kevin did their job probably and didn't damage my poor baby's ear!!! I won't be returning to this location after a horrible experience I had and damage done to Lucy's ear on top of the fact that Kevin is extremely rude and impatient with customers and wouldn't even let you ask a question properly without giving attitude and just trying to shut the conversation down. I ended up not using them because, when I made the appointment, it felt like I was interrupting him and it was very unwelcoming. Very pleased with Enzo's haircut from Ruff Haus today. Got him from a rescue a month ago so I wasn't sure how he'd do. I wasn't even sure what I wanted done for him. Kevin and I talked about it and I was so happy when I picked up Enzo, Kevin mentioned he did okay (little wiggly) but he's not used to being groomed, hopefully this will get better the more we come back. I don't do reviews often but I am very disappointed with today's service. When I went to drop off my pet, I specifically asked for them not to trim any of his hair. Kevin the owner just looked at me but didn't respond. When I went to pick up my dog, I noticed they had cut the hair around his butt and had cut hair from one side of his tail leaving it uneven. It doesn't end there, they also cut the hair on his belly and trimmed the hair around his paws super short where you can see his nails. They didn't make any acknowledgement about them cutting his hair after I had SPECIFICALLY ask for them not too. read more

Had the absolutely best experience! We took our two bulldogs for a self wash. Super easy and they provided everything you need. We brought a special shampoo for our frenchie but our English was able to use the house shampoo and conditioner. They have deshedding tools, qtips and doggie spritz! It was so cute when we checked out they have the dogs a holiday gift! We loved it so much that we tried their daycare service and my dog had a blast. We have been coming to this place for the past a few months but my wife and I always dealt with the kind female employees in back. Yesterday, for the first time I had an interaction with the owner. He's one soulless, rude, uncomfortable individual. I'll tell you the story and you'll be the judge! My wife made an appointment for our 2 small dogs ( 8lb & 20lb) for 12pm. I show up at 5:30pm to see if they're ready. He didn't know that I was outside sitting in my car watching him. I noticed at 5:45 he just finished grooming one and is moving to groom the other one although he lied to my wife about why is taking him so long. I waited for him to finish and now it's 6:30. I go in and ask him what's the reason for early appointment if you are not going to get to them at their appointment time, he replies "well, I am the only groomer and I have to make rent". Asked him, do the dogs get a potty break for being here this long, he replies " no because of liability". So, he has no problem caging the pets with no break or water for long period of time for his convenience. It seemed at the end he cared about making his rent as opposed to treating these poor animals with more love and care. We would never use this place after this experience!! read more

Ruff Haus did an amazing job grooming my dog. She was clean and well-trimmed. The shampoo and conditioner they use must be premium because my puppy didn't itch or scratch afterward. I used to take my shih tzu to another groomer and she would always itch and scratch to the point where I needed to bring my own products for baths. I take both my dogs to ruff haus, one chihuahua and one golden retriever. My chihuahua has a lot of anxiety, especially when it comes to being dropped off at places but he does really well at ruff haus. The prices are very reasonable, especially the price for a larger dog compared to other establishments. They always do a great job, they can get busy but I usually call 3 days in advance and can get an appointment easily. read more

He listened to our requests and told us what was realistic given the state of our dogs hair at drop off. Salsa looked great and Kevin managed to give him a great cut without fully shaving him. Excellent experience taking my two poms here this year! Found this place on Yelp. My dogs have visited 3 or 4 times so far and the groomers have done an amazing job every time. Some reviews mention how the owner seems to lack customer service, but they are just straightforward and focused more on the dogs. As an introverted animal lover, I can empathize. The most important thing to me is that my dogs are treated right and my request for their grooming is followed -- both of which has been the case in my experience here. This goes for any grooming place... If you'd like your dog's haircut a certain way or if there's any behavioral call outs that may be helpful, just be specific when telling the staff. I've shown reference photos, told them the length and shape I wanted for what areas of their fur, mentioned how one my dogs can get anxious, etc. If you really love a groomer's work, make sure to take photos and ask them what they did so you can reference for next time. Kevin has been honest about what is achievable (which I appreciated so I don't get disappointed), since one of my dogs' fur isn't as full as a typical pom. I've been happy with the way they turn out each time. Parking is easy. Full grooming can take a while, but my dogs have a lot of fur and there's two of them. So not sure what others' experiences are on timeframe. Price is really great for the area. I'm able to bring my dogs' own shampoo and conditioner. Ruff Haus is the best! My dogs do not prefer getting groomed and act dramatic/unruly but Mr. Kevin is so patient with them and does a great job! We have been asked to not come back from other groomers because of behavior issues but Mr. Kevin is truly a professional and can work with them. Now we never go to anyone else. -They put a hole in my dog and she needed staples- It took me a while to write this review, months actually, because sometimes accidents happen. I've gone back and forth if I should write this or not. But I feel like other reviewers should know what happened. I've gone to Ruff Haus several times with my maltipoo, and they've always done a solid job, Kevin especially. This is why it pains me to write this. I brought in my maltipoo like any other day, except this time Kevin wasn't there. It was some young girl I have never seen before. I remember feeling anxious over this new person, and I remember asking her to be especially gentle with my dog. Several hours later, too many hours later, my dog comes home with a TEAR in her flank, a gaping bloody hole you could see the muscle underneath, and no one informed us. I never got a call saying there was an accident, I never got an apology from the groomer. My dog is very vocal and sensitive, she yelps and screams whenever she feels pain. You accidentally sit on her tail, she screams, step on her foot, she screams. Hell if you pick her up wrong she SCREAMS. I know for a fact she screamed her head off when she was injured and the groomer chose to ignore her. There is no way the groomer missed it, her skin was literally hanging off! Shame on the groomer. I can't point fingers and tell you which groomer did it. I know dog grooming isn't easy but you could have at least owned up to it. You hurt a dog and tried to hide it, you lied to your customer, and you could have put Ruff Haus grooming in serious jeopardy. We had to take my dog to the pet hospital, and we haven't gone back to any groomers since. The only reason this didn't blow up like it should have was because Kevin was quick and professional. He took care of the hospital bills and profusely apologized. I'm not sure if I will be returning to Ruff Haus, especially if that groomer is still working with them. Which sucks because they've been great all the other times, but our trust has been broken. read more
