    Dessert menu - 4/2026

We dined at RUKA when we first checked into our hotel in Boston. It was adjacent to our hotel so it was super convenient as we were tired and hungry after a long flight. This place is popping! Even though it was later in the evening, the restaurant was still really full. However we didn't have to wait too long to get seated. I loved the decor in here, such neat details and even a column with a dragon on it! So cool. It's a dark restaurant so it was hard to read the menu, but otherwise, it's a very cool vibe here and feels very lounge-y. Our server was awesome, he was friendly and explained the restaurant style to us - it's like tapas, you order a few items to share and recommended 2 - 3 items per person would be sufficient. It was only 2 of us and we shared 3 items total, and that was more than enough. We apparently arrived so late that our server informed us that we only had a short time before the kitchen was closing for the night. But he said that he would return before the kitchen closed in case we wanted to order additional menu items. We were intrigued by the Japanese/Peruvian fusion menu and tried a few things: Kuromitsu Brussel Sprouts Spicy Salmon Fritas Bo Bo Chicken I was most excited about the Bo Bo Chicken a it had a sichuan chili oil and I love spicy, but it was not spicy at all (to me). But the flavor was really good. My favorite was the Brussels sprouts. I loved the char on them and the ginger black honey on it was so good. I don't eat salmon, but my friend said the Salmon Fritas was great and really enjoyed them. I would say this was the best meal we had on our trip!

I didn't get pictures of all the foods I had as I was here for a work dinner. We did a family style and ordered a variety on the menu. My favorites were the fried cheese stick as that was very light and fluffy. The yakisoba noodles was very delicious plus the pork belly buns! I recommend stopping by and our server was also great!

Personally I love the interior design very much. It's a mix of eastern with western cultural elements. Coming here for a drink with some appetizers is very satisfying. The pop chicken with chilly oil sauce was tasty; the small bites and sushi went well with the special cocktails!

First impressions, decor is welcoming and music level comfortable for good conversation. They have a dedicated menu for celiac disease persons and those who chose to be gluten free. The food was excellent and we enjoyed each of our plates. For appetizers we ordered hamachi ceviche and lobster norteña. Main course we ordered yuzu beef & vegetable fried rice from gluten free menu and it was delicious. From regular menu we had the chicken fried rice and pork yakisoba, also delicious. Desserts we had big fish and white black thunder. Highly recommend! We left happy

Had a reservation and was seated promptly. It was a bit busy but service was attentative. Server was knowledgeable about the menu and kind. My sister and I ended up getting a few dishes to share: Japanese fried chicken, halibut, crab yakimeshi, and lobster norteña. The kitchen was able to accomodate and put the sauce and avocado for the norteña on the side (my sister is picky) which I appreciated. The food came out pretty quick and was delicious. The halibut was not my favorite (I wouldn't order it again) though even that was yummy. The japanese fried chicken?! Amazing. I almost didn't order it but am glad we did. The meat itself is packed with flavor, but it's even better with the sauce it's served with (as most things are. The crab yakimeshi was our next favorite item. The rice was phenomenal. For dessert we got the cachangas which wonderully surpassed our expectations. It was a fun dish that reminded us a bit of pretzel bites (but way more airy and delicious). I thought the price we paid was fair for 3 dishes, dessert, and two drinks. Ambiance was nice. Good for a date, girl's night, special occassion, etc. Would definitely come back! Parking can be found on street if you're lucky or it's around $22 at Lafayette Garage which is right across the street.

My family and I came here for dinner, and the restaurant has a swanky, beautifully designed atmosphere. We ordered the spicy tuna, rock shrimp, Phoenix rolls, and chicken fried rice. The rolls were flavorful and enjoyable, while the chicken fried rice was just okay. The service could have been better, but overall the food was delicious. It's a great spot for a date night. We were staying at the Godfrey hotel (which is connected to the restaurant), there were no available reservations online. I went downstairs and was able to make a reservation for 40 minutes later. If you don't have reservations and are nearby, stop by and make one - they may be able to get you in on the same day.

Such fun vibes! All the small plates were good especially the crab fried rice! Would also just come here for the drinks and a dessert as their Big Fish is one my favorite desserts in all of Boston

I was able to have dinner at Ruka on a quiet weekday evening and was glad to make it in! I think that Ruka really nails the Latin/Asian fusion flavor combos in food and drinks. In particular I really enjoyed the combo of flavors in sesame/tequila, aji chili crisp, and octopus/fried rice. The menu is pretty large and also features sushi which I would love to try more of. The space was also quite beautiful and gave an clean upscale vibe while still maintaining personality. Dishes at Ruka are a bit on the pricier side, but understandable given location. A really solid choice if you are in the area!

Tried Ruka for the first time and was pleasantly surprised -- the food was so good! I can see why it's such a popular spot for birthday celebrations, the atmosphere feels special without being stuffy. Love the Tea service! Highly recommend ending the night with the big fish dessert -- it's such a fun and tasty way to cap off the meal.

I was impressed by the creative blend between Asian and South American flavors! Rolls: I was not a huge fan of the Ruka Spicy Tuna and the Vat Bottom Girl was decent, but the Pulpo Chancón in particular stood out, with delicious octopus and an incredible blend of flavor and texture. Disappointingly, the lighting in the restaurant was too dim to take proper photos. We also ordered the Hamachi Ceviche and Plancha Shrimp, which were also great fusion dishes. Overall a great experience, the only issue being the meal was a bit too pricy to come back too often- but they're just around what you'd expect for the DTX/Theater District area.

One of the best restaurants we've ever eaten at! NYE in Boston, reservations a MUST...this place was spectacular. The ambiance is romantic and sultry, perfect for date night or a really impressive outing. The food was spectacular and our server Erika was so sweet and gave us all the best recommendations which was pretty much everything and she was right! We were so happy with our experience here.

We ordered 3 dishes to share between the two of us - spicy tuna roll, tako meshi (octopus fried rice with sweet potato crispy wafers), and hot salmon fritas (salmon ceviche like topping on crispy sushi rice which had almost like hash brown effect). We didn't get drinks but they looked so good! Ambiance was vibey with cool decor, attentive service, and all tables were full even at 5:30pm, so glad we made a reservation.

Stunning restaurant downtown Boston! Fun menu from great sushi choices to Chicken Wings with Fried Rice, which was our choice to share. Tempted with sushi, but two wings were HUGE and we weren't that hungry. Prompt and friendly server; we left happy.

No. My whole family went for dinner

Do I need to make a reservation in advance for evenings or weekends?

Yes, definitely highly recommend. During the week I'd say no.

What is the tea service at Ruka?

It's a cocktail for two served cold in a teapot with two shot glasses. They bring out a smoking dragon (dry ice in a dragon pot) to add whimsy. It's delicious and cute.

Are they open? I cannot wait to go back
