Food quality and taste is amazing, drinks are good, service and staff and friendly and very attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is what you'd expect of a nice upscale sushi restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can tell they take what they do very seriously and operate in a very professional manner. I did the tasting menu and the only downside is the meal will set you back quite a bit, but you knew that. I would come back when the bank permits it.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]this place is absolutely charming, and the service is truly exceptional.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] the food is high quality, though as expected for fine dining, it is definitely a splurge. while most of the nigiri was excellent, a few pieces were just okay

Don't bother driving here, it's the Back Bay. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside is exactly the dark and trendy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was friendly but honestly a bit loose for the price point. Our server greeted us fast but he lacked that confident polish you usually see at high end spots. We were not initially sure if he was our waiter or just dropping off water. The staff dress code is also super casual and that made it hard to distinguish employees from customers. The sushi itself is fantastic though we had one weird miss with the kitchen apps. Skip the Omakase. The pricing is outrageous for Boston. Just order a la carte. What we ordered: * Massaman Brussels Sprouts (5/10): A total disappointment. They had peanuts, fried shallot, and basil but zero seasoning. They must have forgotten to salt the dish entirely. Once I added my own salt it was good but I should not have to do that here. * Spicy Negihama (9/10): Delicious roll. Highly recommend. * Foie Gras Nigiri (9/10): The chocolate pairing with the buttery foie gras is wild. I usually find foie gras overwhelming but this portion was perfect. * Akami Nigiri (9/10): A perfect bite with the tuna and mushroom. * Hamachi Nigiri (10/10): Just flawless. * Madai Nigiri (9/10): Fresh and clean. * Beef Ribs (9/10): Tender and rich. * Chow Fun Noodles (10/10): Surprisingly one of the best things on the table. The Bathroom Situation: You have to leave the restaurant and walk into the connected hotel lobby to find the facilities. I had to ask the front desk for directions because it is down in the basement. It is a shared bathroom but it has one stall with a full length door for privacy and was very clean.

I went to UNI with two of my roommates as it is part of the chase sapphire reserve exclusive tables and I never been before. The interior is dark but well lit with candles, and not too noisy which was nice during conversation. The wait staff was super friendly and accommodating, giving excellent recommendations and letting us know how many pieces are in each dish since there were three of us. For food, the best thing was the duck confit gyoza and the crab fried rice. I personally love duck and gyoza so combining was amazing, and i never had dill in fried rice before but it paired so well together. The brussels and pork ribs were also really good, the brussels came with peanuts and the pork was fall off the bone. The chow fun was alright, it did have a nice crispy crunch on some parts but it was overly salted. The dumplings and both the sushi rolls were super mid. It wasn't bad at all but it wasn't good. Personally, I do not think any of these foods are worth the price point (which is why the three stars). The bill before tip was $200. Although the ambience and the waitstaff were super friendly, I don't think I would come here again because of the price point.

Indeed nice presentation for every dish, fresh ingredients, quality sushi but the dishes are all very small, no larger than 2 onces even for the cooked ones, and it's $23 for a small bowl of noodles. Way overpriced.

Very good sushi. Everything was very fresh and creatively put together. The ribs were awesome. The dumplings were delicious.

I came on a Sunday night. I ordered the tasting menu and some other items, like Brussels sprouts, crab rice, grilled octopus etc. My bill was 400+ for 3 people. The food is very "fused" together. I cannot taste how fresh the food was. It was either too salty, too sour, or too sweet. Their sauces are very strong even though they only put a little bit on it. I am sorry but at this price, I would go somewhere else. For example, the Thai Brussels sprouts has so much sauce on it (I think it's curry) that I cannot taste the vegetable itself. The foie gras (raspberry sauce??) was so sour that it just took out the foie gras taste... Some good memorable dishes is the squid ink lo mein, and the prime New York strip. Also, the towels to clean your hands before you eat was cool.... Otherwise, not somewhere I would recommend to others.

UNI was one of the best food experiences I've had in Boston! We shared a bunch of different dishes, which is definitely the way to go if you're having dinner here. Everything we got was so fresh and unique tasting. I loved that their drinks had such fun names and they even had mocktails on the menu. The place has a really cool vibe and a great bar area if you're stopping by. All our dishes came out super fast so we weren't ever waiting too long. Our bartender was also so friendly and fun! Can't wait to be back here!

Wow! We had an amazing time eating at Uni! This place definitely deserves a visit (or multiple) because their food is some of the best I've tried in the area. First, it seems that you will definitely need a reservation as the restaurant quickly filled up as soon as they opened around 5:30PM. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself felt moody but open to chatter, with somewhat loud music playing and everyone talking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server and all the staff we encountered were so friendly and accommodating, checking on us just the right amount of times to ensure our experience was going well. The staff also all knew each dish and explained to us their ingredients in detail. Overall, our experience was amazing and we felt very well taken care of by the attentive staff. Their food was on another level, and I easily found something to love in every dish we tried! Even their seemingly simplest dishes had a burst of flavor like the Caesar salad, eggplant, and crab fried rice. I especially loved the eggplant, it was cooked to the perfect soft texture and paired well with the okra. The squab and miso cod also stood out to us, both soaked in delicious and unique sauces. We tried a plethora of sashimi and nigiri, all of which tasted fresh and delicate, prepared with a careful hand. Shout out to sushi chef Tsuyoshi for elevating our sushi experience! All the ingredients seemed so well chosen, and simply their arrangement was something we admired. For dessert, we tried the flan and it unexpectedly was one of the best desserts I've ever tried! It's sweetness from the fruity yuzu and caramel meshed so well together, I really could've eaten so much more. Lastly, we tried a couple cocktails, all of which were tasty, but especially the one with a lychee meringue topping! To wrap up, I highly recommend those in the area near prudential to pay a visit to this restaurant if you are looking for an upscale dining experience with great food. I am looking forward to returning!

Excellent. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sat at the bar, quiet setting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was great at the bar. Ordered wagyu by the ounce. 2-4 oz per person was just right. 10 seconds per side on the stone, done. The spices provided were salt , garlic and sumak. A hint of sumak made each piece perfect.

    World's spiciest spicy tuna roll.

We walked into a space with an energetic atmosphere, an open kitchen, a lively dining room, and a contemporary design that makes the restaurant feel both casual and polished. The layout encourages ordering several dishes for the table, and the variety across the menu makes it easy to build a meal that feels different with each visit. The small plates are the biggest draw because they let you try a wide range of flavors without committing to a single entrée. The pork belly buns are one of the signature dishes, featuring tender pork inside soft steamed buns with a balance of sweet and savory flavors. The dan dan noodles are another standout with their rich, spicy sauce, while the Brussels sprouts have developed a strong following thanks to their crispy texture and bold seasoning. We also appreciated that many dishes are available as half portions, making it easier to sample more of the menu without ordering too much food. The menu offers a good balance between familiar favorites and more creative dishes, with each plate feeling thoughtfully prepared and packed with flavor. There are also plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, making it easy for groups with different dietary preferences to find something they enjoy. The service matched the pace of the restaurant during our visit. The staff were attentive, dishes came out steadily as they were ready, and the servers were helpful with recommendations for building a meal around multiple small plates. The restaurant stays busy throughout the evening, so making a reservation is a good idea, especially for dinner or larger groups. Myers+Chang is one of the better places in Boston for creative Asian-inspired small plates. The combination of bold flavors, shareable portions, lively atmosphere, and consistently strong service makes it a restaurant that is easy to return to, especially if you enjoy trying a variety of dishes instead of ordering a traditional entrée.

Will definitely find a reason to come back here soon. ------ FOOD: 1. [MUST TRY] STIR-FRIED CABBAGE W/ PORK BELLY (5/5) Presentation was phenomenal (in a clay pot with its own burner underneath to keep it hot). The portion was much larger than expected, and most importantly, it tasted incredible. Generous amounts of pork in this, and the sauce was authentic and addicting. 2. SCALLION CHICKEN (5/5) Another great choice. This was a huge portion with lots of tender chicken, and the scallion was present without being overpowering. 3. CRISPY BEEF WITH FRIED DOUGH STICKS (5/5) I was expecting Chinese you tiao but these were actually the small, ultra crispy manhua twists! Paired with the beef, this was a large and unique dish that I loved. The crispiness of the mahua made this a textural delight to eat. 4. MANGO SAGO DESSERT (5/5) Big portion, wonderful assortment of toppings including grapefruit, mango, sago, and popping balls over a creamy dessert soup base. 5. PEKING DUCK (4/5) I think I'm a tough critic since I just came back from Beijing and had so much Peking duck there. We ordered the half portion here and it had a generous amount of meat for not being the full portion. There were an assortment of accompaniments, including pineapple (new to me) and sugar (like the Beijing style) which were welcome additions. The wrappers were steamed well and didn't curl up on the edges. Overall this was a solid Peking duck, but the meat wasn't as standout as I was hoping. 6. STEAMED PORK SOUP DUMPLING (4/5) Solid soup dumplings. Not the best I've ever had, but definitely hit the spot. 7. SAUTEED PEA SPROUTS (4/5) Another solid classic. 8. PORK MEATBALL IN CRAB MEAT SAUCE (4/5) This was the most unique thing we ordered. I've never had a shi zi tou meatball with crab meat sauce before. The meatball itself was large (maybe size of a tennis ball), tender, and fatty, as it should be. It was then drowned in a generous lake of traditional crab meat sauce. If you're not a fan of crab meat then this might be a bit too fishy for you, but honestly it all combined surprisingly well and I grew to like this dish more and more with each bite. I wasn't the biggest fan to start, but by the end I wouldn't have minded getting another one! ------ AMBIANCE / ENVIRONMENT: * The interior has the classic Asian style of decor, but you can tell it was recently built / renovated because everything felt new and fresh. * The ambiance also felt more new-school luxurious vs. the typical Asian establishments that are more no-frills with as many tables packed in as possible * You're still somewhat close to the tables around you, but it's not overwhelming during lunch time and we still felt like we had enough space regardless * There's a bar area at the front of the restaurant and then a large, spacious dining room in the back * This is a great place for a date or a meaningful family gathering * Right outside is Boston Common, making this restaurant very well-located for lunch before or after a nice day in the park. While there's lots of parking around the park, a spot itself can be hard to come by, so your best bet might be to use the nearby parking garage instead ------ SERVICE: * Overall the service was great and quick. They did forget our tea, but when we asked for it later they apologized profusely and were quick to bring it out for us * This place fills up quickly so be sure to come early if you don't have a reservation or if you're a big enough group, make a reservation for your desired dining time

It's a dark restaurant so it was hard to read the menu, but otherwise, it's a very cool vibe here and feels very lounge-y. Our server was awesome, he was friendly and explained the restaurant style to us - it's like tapas, you order a few items to share and recommended 2 - 3 items per person would be sufficient. It was only 2 of us and we shared 3 items total, and that was more than enough. We apparently arrived so late that our server informed us that we only had a short time before the kitchen was closing for the night. My drink came after 15 mins and then we had to remind the waiter about his whiskey. That took another 10. We started with the chicken bao buns and the samosas. Both spectacular! My only complaint is the little size for the samosa size. For our mains we got the short rib and the white butter chicken. The butter chicken could've used a bit more chicken for the price and was frankly a bit tough. The sauce was great. The short rib was flavorful and packed the perfect punch. Dipping the garlic naan in both sauces was my fav part!! Overall an ok experience. I want to give the restaurant grace because it was very packed but service was poor. I think we had 4 different staff members help us total which probably led to lots of miscommunication.
